Why would he say something when he knows Mami already heard a girl's voice inside his room. Any more actions there would fuel her suspicion.

It is not about taking a break but because everyone was expecting him to be there as the only male member of the family, plus the ladies could visit Neha easily as they were helping her as well.

That happens. .you go for some work and assign the younger members of the family to look after things properly. It is normal.

5. Obviously it doesnt occur to Dev to at the very least take Elena's or Dada's aid to rescue Sona.

First, he was blurred by the tension of arrival of Sona's family and her absence to think of it . Second, Elena and Dada were there with sona's parents. . Would it not rise suspicion if he cornered one of them (btw who are unaware of his house and his room) and asked them to help?

Its not as if he has to go to another town. Just a few stairs..

This is not even filmi..its actually ridiculous and people wonder why the shows ratings are going down.

The reason is simple. The CVs have become lazy.

I thought he could've asked Elena for help too. But it wasn't as bad as some Tv serial contrivances. Its not unreasonable that as the only male family member his presence was required downstairs and would get trapped there. And Mami likes bossing Dev around to show her importance.
