if neha wants to wear her own lehnga cant she wear it whatever happened to freedom of choice
i was expecting compromise to happen (for example how divyanka recently wore one lehnga to the phere and one for garland etc)
it is the girls wedding day she should be the one happiest and like what she wears after all what other day does a girl wear her most favourite pretty and expensive clothing

no offence to anyone just my view, please no bashing/rudeness

HAHAH your comparison is really cute..

You are comparing DT real marriage with on screen character Neha's marriage.😆 Neha's Husband- Ranveer and Dhaiya Sahaab is two different personality 😉

Well it depends on person to person- personally during my wedding - it was so hectic and so much chaotic that I can't tell you. Forget about changing lehnga or saree- in my case- I had planned to change the nail paint according to color of saree but my parlour girl only managed to put nail color in one hand while other hand was without nail paint.😕😆.

As far as Neha's not wearing designer lehnga is well explained by the CV itself. 😃

I think she should get to wear what she wants on wedding day at least. yeah might be hard to change but not impossible if she has a bedroom booked to change clothes at the wedding venue too
i compared it to dt as it was a real marriage
just my view that a girl should wear what makes her happy on a wedding day maybe she can wear both outfits on one day to make ranveers family happy. i personally just thought conclusion was one sided

but u do wear 2 different outfits for varmala and phere - thats a tradition.
(u are supposed to wear a yellow outfit for phere). and that is why DT wore 2 outfits.

now in neha's case - neha was asked to wear the outfit send by ranveer's family- (thats the tradition followed by dixits and ranveer's family)

now though one is a real marriage and second is reel but still in both the cases tradition is being followed.
but yes you say that if its a tradition like that, then neha and ranveer's family should have gone together for shopping and made neha choose whatever she likes.

then tradition will also be followed plus neha would also be happy wearing a dress of her choice.

In our tradition we have 2 sarees , one mom buys and one
in laws buy and we have to wear what they bought . But in real time that too these days they take bride too with them to select saree. In cases they can't afford expensive one they will give money as much as they can and bride can more to it to buy her choice.
But if they buy and we cant exchange then we have to wear, that's it. Thats no place and time to exercise our freedom of choice . Wedding is also time to show respect to your inlaws and your willingness to belong to them.Just my POV.

It would have not pinched me if neha would have said that she doesn't like the colour of the lehenga sent by her In laws but when she called it cheap and down market I just lost it.

Like I said it depends on individual-to individual plus everyone follows different rules and regulations for this.. Like in our caste - we have to wear yellow saree bought by Mama during the entire wedding. After wedding is finished , we can wear some other saree if we want.

Yeah but in some caste- they need to wear dress bought from inlaws - saw in one of my frnds wedding. She choose it..

But over here - cv main intentions was to show how Neha adapt herself accordingly .It is not about lehnga anymore. Even if Ranveer family took Neha along with them to choose , she would have still issues with that lehgna ..😃

Rest personally I believe yes for wedding day- its HER day and she has every right to do whatever she wants..😃

For me it was her day and she has to right the wear what were she wants...in my family there is tradition to give lengha to bride from groom side like it is shown in show...but my parants gave mony to my bhabhiz and make them purchase their own choice of lengha...we gave limited amount and rest amount was paid by their own side.

Think what the CV's tried to show was the wedding was the coming together of two families and how the groom's side would feel that she was part of their family if she wore the outfit that they had chosen.
The wedding was not just a ramp walk for Neha to show off her best outfits or for her to look her best.

Personally, I liked the point the creatives made; about the essence of a wedding which these days is lost with all the pomp displayed at weddings.
