I agree with you POV..I understand that she wanted to spent time with Dev rather than buying a saree. It woul have been good if she would have wore the saree nd should have spoken to Dev abt this.
This is the first time Dev did something that she did not expected. Her expressions fot the first change were too dangerous...CV's knows what is there in the future.
My point that she has always had expectations from Dev nd never thought of what he expects. She didn't even tried to understand Dev's point today.
The same way even Dev does not know what his mom really wants. There is an unknown communication GAP between both of them which they themselves do not know.
Dev solves his issues with materialistic POV, Ishwari with emotions which are non tangible.
Her heavy insecurity played a role here. Dev does not know what his mother is going through.
She actually does not care what even Dev wants (with Natasha it was a serious coincidence) she just wants herself to be the center of his attention, not materialistically, which Dev does not know.
Another factor to consider is Dev being a male does not understand what a woman of Ishwari's background goes through.
I got your point, plus I understood the scene, but I dont know how to word it right now.
By tomorrow we can find another analysis post to explain better what and why it happened.
All I can say is both are right keeping their character in mind. Dev and Ishwari were not wrong in what they did.
