Guysss! I took in the whole episode yesterday and after watching it, couldn't quite gather the energy to write an analysis. What an episode! Riveting from start to finish! I think this might sound a bit silly, but I felt a bit ill watching Dev and Sonakshi in the state that they were in. You know, Sona down with a fever and still crying and Dev restless For the first time, I was wishing that their union would happen quickly. It was that type of an episode. The mark of a great show is when you get wrapped up into the lives of the characters and become immersed into their world. I found myself unable to take my eyes off the screen and was
feeling
every emotion that Dev was going through. Shaheer was mindblowing. The switch finally turned on, it was a completely new Dev Dixit who had woken up from a deep slumber. His whole demeanour changed as it finally dawned on him that Miss Bose is more than a friend. That he is
actually in love 😆 All his flashbacks beginning with the first time he collided into her till his recent talks were remembered by him. He reflected back on every moment that was poignant to him and he smiled throughout.
And the cute way he was talking to himself was sheer brilliance 😆 The penny dropped that when he is around Sona, he is himself - 'main, main hoon' 😆 In his utter disbelief at how stupid he had been, he launched into a verbal self attack in front of the mirror 😆 Classic! And he realised that Sona's description of how one feels when in love, fitted him. That such rubbish was actually true! And he reprimands himself for calling her Miss Bose. And I was not expecting him to acknowledge that so quickly! My heart fluttered! And with his hands behind his back as he practised saying Sona, Dev was a delight Amazing, amazing set of expressions by Shaheer. A change in voice modulation to turn into Dev Dixit the businessman as he pretended to shake hands was the cherry on the cake. Never expected an off his trolley Dev at realising his love but I'll take it because it was just adorable!
And then he was brought back to reality as his thoughts turned to Natasha. The key dialogues from yesterday's episode for me was 'Sona mere bare mein kya sochti hogi?' To me, it highlighted that Dev in his heart has realised that Sona loves him too. That she knows about the feeling of love because she has fallen in love herself. That there is only one man in her life who is close enough to her, to have made her feel this way. Him. He does not need to woo her or anything. He just needs to declare that he loves her too. That is the conviction that he has. He also knows that Sona must be hurting because all this time she has been giving her time and energy out of love, to listen and talk to him. He is the fool who realised it late and has probably broken her heart.
Sona is by far my favourite character on the show because I relate to her in many ways. Seeing her hurt again as she wishes she was able to call Dev by his name was upsetting. At the same time, I felt like jumping through my screen and giving her a massive hug! Little did she know that Dev's dimakh ki batti had finally switched on, and whilst she was crying away, he was preparing himself to start calling her Sona But this is why this episode worked so brilliantly because it was building up to this face to face that we are going to get between Devakshi where unknown to Sona, an in love Dev (who knows it) will be standing in front of her. Again, I fall in love with Erica everytime I see her in these emotional scenes. Her inner turmoil as she got up, clinged to her curtain by the window and hugged herself was heart tugging acting. The female version of the song added to the whole scene. Anyone know the male and female singers? Anyway, ont he whole, those first 7 minutes of the episode were the BEST minutes of KRPKAB so far. Nothing can beat it. 👏
And as a new day began, a restless Dev who clearly hadn't slept sought Ishwari to stop this catastrophe from happening. You could totally see that nothing was in his control watching everyone excited and prepping themselves. With Radha Rani in the picture, there was no way he could get a word in anyway. And then back at the Bose abode, the CVs almost gave me another heart attack with Dev turning up at the door. Thankfully I was smart enough to realise that Dev's dialogues were far too fluffy considering he has other things on his mind right now like informing Natasha 😆 A bit of comic relief as we found the milkman in front of the door with the sound effect of the reel rewinding down. That was a nice touch there :)
We also got to see one of the nicest Sona-Saurabh conversations :) It was lovely as the CVs brought back the gardening scene through Saurabh's dialogues. I think this scene and Sona's despair has a few life lessons to teach as well. Love yourself and don't be scared to love is two of them. Sona has a great support system, so if Dev had never realised her value, she would have been ok in the end :) Some great dialogues about love there 👏
Time and time again, I find myself in awe of this show. There is nothing quite like it on TV.
