Hey Guys.
I'm new to this forum. Just caught up with the episodes last night.
Just wanted to give my two cent towards the story.
I think the writers are doing a fantastic job. The story is well paced. There is nothing too overwhelming but its enough to keep things interesting. They have built up Sona and Dev's relationship very well. It was gradual and it suits their characters considering their characters are supposed to be mature. However at the same time they've shown that being mature doesn't mean you can always maintain the same level constantly and even mature people can act immaturely at times.
One of the things i like the most is how they've shown the psychological after effects of facing hardships in life, especially on children. They stay with them as they grow into adults.
When I first heard of Shaheer's character in the show I was like 'damn its the same old overused Rich rude jackass and helpless poor girl story." I must admit i'm pleasantly surprised. Dev's character is rude, overprotective and angry but his emotional side's also been shown which most shows never do. He's sentimental, sensitive and knows how to say sorry. He doesn't make it into an issue of ego like you normally see in dramas.
Also Sonakshi's character isn't of a typical girl. She's rarely ever shown crying. (Thank heavens for small mercies.) Her character is strong. She is a modern girl who is liberal but at the same time hold her values equally close to her heart and walks along with both.
This is just the beginning. The real story in my opinion will begin after they confess their feelings because as hinted by the initial promos the story is basically being stuck in a limbo between Sona and Dev's love and Dev's love for his mother.
I want to see how the story turns where Ishwari is concerned. Clearly she likes Sona and she also okay with Dev choosing his own partner. So when it comes to Sona what will happen to make her not want their relationship or will it just be Dev's assumption. At this point we don't even know if the CVs will stick to what the initial promos' showed us. Also there are many things that still need to be unraveled. Like Ishwari's secret about that werid psycho man.
Overall the show is very fresh and relatable. It's looks and feels real.
Cheers and have a good weekend,
Em
