Neha has been a interesting character from the beginning... her anger, her complains and her bitterness towards ishwari and dev has always felt reasonable, relatable and understandable. Many instances I felt sorry for her as she was victim of circumstances the most.

But coming to her falling in love with ranveer, I'm not quite sure. Does she just like the fact that someone loves her? So she just loves that man?

When you love a person, you start respecting/owning the things they like and value the most. We cannot make them compromise their values for the sake of our happiness. Yes if they do it themselves that's fine. The way she was asking dev to make ranveer rich felt very alarming... she wants to change the very core of ranveer and if ranveer is what he has portrayed until now.. Self-esteemed, grounded and content... he would be never be happy in the place where she wants him to be.. she even before trying is sure that she won't be able to stay his family...

So the question again does she actually love him or just loves the fact that he loves her?

You know I was very content with her character development until that conversation she had with Dev about making Ranveer rich. I also think she should realize that Ranveer deserves to know not only about her past, but also her conditions or rather, expectations from marriage.
She is not wrong in not wanting to sacrifice anymore. She deserves to live happily, and if not having kids - or not having to take care of children - keeps her happy, then so be it.

That being said, she should understand that just like her own expectations from her future, so would Ranveer.

I love their pairing because it is a strikingly contrasting couple, though I feel the love is still one-sided. Neha hasn't really loved Ranveer so far (in my POV, don't mind if anyone disagrees).

She is in love with the fact that someone is in love with her. The distinct quality of Ranveer is his modesty, and his self-grounded nature. He isn't materialistic at all. That being said, it isn't as if he's poor either. But the main point is that he is content with everything he has. Neha needs to realize the man she claims to love is what he is because of these qualities.

I'm not doubting her intentions, but I'm doubting her love.

Anyway that was just my two cents on this.
Good post! :)

Yep I totally agree.. I'm just afraid for her as she will be wounded and loose the person who genuinely loves her(assuming ranveer is what he shows himself to be). She wants to change the very essence of ranveers character which will prove to be a blunder.

Neha's character has been the most complicated one in KRPKAB...
She truly deserves to b happy...considering her childhood has been the most compromised one...she herself is aiming happiness at someone's discomfort zone...She has been shown missing out on Ranveer when she went in search of his whereabouts ...also she was plain blank when he proposed her...her confirmation to his proposal too was not an intentional one rather an outburst of a possessive mind to not hear wrong about whom she cared...so yes...she seems to be in love with Ranveer but her happiness is still at the highest priority to her in her life...I don't think she is in love to the extent of accepting Ranveer as he is...but loving him in anticipation of moulding him to her expectations...which is totally wrong.

Love is unconditional acceptance...if love succumbs to conditions...then it is not love...!so Neha's track is getting more layers and interesting to watch ...guess Ranveer wud accept her conditions for love sake and them mould her to his ways...he has been noticing she getting disturbed at the sight of the kids fighting in house...she getting disturbed seeing a mother putting responsibilities on an elder child to take care of her sibling in park...Ranveer is a matured character and I guess he will enlighten her the right way.

Interesting take! I agree this track has layers to be explored and it will be interesting.. going with what neha felt most of her life I would like to think she will be more sensitive to people and their desires.. but that's the opposite... I just wish she won't miss this person due to her ignorance!

She seemingly appears to be in love but actually , its just conditional love with lots of materialistic expectations thrown in for the sufferings and sacrifices she made.
Was disappointed with her character development.😕

Neha initially seemed hurting, wounded and bitten therefore she was bitter.
Her falling in love with Ranveer seems extremely weird and stupid. Just because she got some attention from Ranveer and some care doesn't mean you can decide to spend your entire life with him.
She has been with him only to coffee shops and restaurants, not tried running the house.
And the kind of lady she is, actually all of us are, we like to be spoiled and pampered. And Ranveer can't do that.
In fact, I don't like Ranveer's character at all.
You know there is that saying, about the blanket and stretching your leg only as far as the blanket is.
Ranveer knows the kind of person Neha is. He knows she hates poverty, she cannot adjust to his home.
So either he makes it clear with his family that he'll stay separately or choose to suffer and struggle.
Ranveer seems to be extremely khuddar and stuff.
Shouldn't he know how high to raise his head as far as love is concerned?
All the philosophy about, love being more important that money etc is very well in books and for speeches.
On the ground level, money is required.
And for a marriage it is very important for both people to be at least in the same income level.
Ranveer is from a lower middle class family.
In fact, I guess a rung lower.
I don't like his rather don't approve of this.

Going to directly answer your question 😊

Neha definitely loves the concept of someone loving her (period) If she truly does love ranveer then she wouldn't have had any conditions.. She's been insecure till date, that her mother has always placed Dev ahead of anyone else and she's yearning for some kind of love which is solely only for her & no one else... And at this moment she's getting it from ranveer however little it is...The moment she sees ranveer taking extra care of his mother & family, her ideology of being in love with ranveer will fly out the window..

And even if there is a little chance of this relationship to work, amongst the two...it'll always be ranveer who'll be sensible and grounded and Neha like always is going to crib and cry out loud that her life has always been miserable.. Plus she has Radha rani also to sow in negative seeds into her head..

Yep.. if she gets married.. resentment from her side is not too far with kind expectations she is going forward..
