Shaheer's performance during his interaction with Kushal yesterday will be remembered as one of the best scenes performed ever by an Indian actor in the Tele Fiction serials . His body language is just right. Stiff, serious,to the point,he is a delight to watch. It is the only way to do that scene to portray Dev Dikshit's very different yet imposing persona on screen. The nauces of the Charecter, the body language, the gait, everything perfect. Flawless.

I agree, what he did was wrong and cannot be justified. I hope Sonaskshi gets back at him somehow, would be nice to watch him squirm 😆

And that's why I also know Dev can be moved to that zone if his emotional scars are healed but Kushal can never. ----------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------Absolutely right. Sruti You know with experience we can analyse whether these gentlemen are real or hypocritical . Nice to know your personal experience that almost matched with mine. That is why even I am optimistic ,with the required effort from both sides Dev may emerge as the caring understanding counterpart for Sona but Kushal? I can't even give him benefit of doubt.

@Lakshmi I know balancing is a very difficult task for men just like for woman. From your posts I understand you also know it. Problem with Dev is his extreme devotion as a son that at times he overlooks all other roles in front of that one role. He tries to see himself through Ishwari's eyes. That illusion breaking is his tipping point where he sees himself through his eyes.
All the contradiction in him is because of that conflict. When it concerns Ishwari he sees things through her eyes. Otherwise through his eyes. When he sees through his eyes he come across as a gentleman doing good for everyone, helping others. While in the latter case he messes it up completely.

@Sruti ,Your analysis is more than perfect. Yes. If Dev can strike balance and realise his weakness that is looking through Iswari's eyes,he will emerge into an endearing person.we don't know whether he becomes successful or not as already he rubbed Sona on the wrong side more than once. But I seriously enjoyed such a Charecter played by Shaheer with great understanding. It is different isn't it? And to be frank I enjoyed Shaheer the performer yesterday in the restaurant. He did not allow me to think of Dev's way of tackling Kushal. Rather he enthralled me with his way of acting.

Yes Lakshmi. As of now I am enjoying the show with its shades. Shaheer is doing an excellent job. He has literally become Dev.
And the best part is he is doing it after doing Arjun. So complete credit to the actor for managing such extreme roles.

a different picture

I am in complete agreement with you. No way I can justify what Dev did knowingly fully well that he will be a changed person down the lane. What he did was a wrong and he has a mental obsession to do things that benefits his family. I find nothing wrong with Kushal's act. Any normal person would do that. In fact it is better not to get into marriage with Sona because Sona's life is messed up by his obsessed boss. And Sona allows it to be messed up because he is paying her.

On top of it he comes across as a liar and hypocrite to me. Telling Sona he was having lunch at the restaurant and it was Kushal who came to talk to him and not the other way. Also knowing fully well that he broke the alliance intentionally he was lying straight faced to her.

And I fully agree I found Shaheer's acting lacking in the scenes with Kushal and Sona. He had no expression and incapable of showing through his acting that he is playing a dangerous game. I know comparisons are not allowed but there were two male characters recently who played that kind of role with elan - ASR and RK. Those who watched their shows will know.

Yes Sruthi. It is a treat to watch Shaheer convey the feeling with subtle expressions. Indian Television is synonymous with overacting in the name of good acting. What a range he exhibited from Arjun to Dev. Simply unique and special. The ease with which he acts ,it is rare . Not every one and any one can have fluid body language like Shaheer.Good to see someone like you acknowledge his acting. I mean I understood the depth with which you analyse your point.Shaheer deserves praise from people like you who excell in presenting the facts with great conviction and sensibility.
