Well you can do Applied Nutrition or Food Science & Nutrition after MBBS and become a nutrition doctor/nutritionist.

You just need to complete your undergrad, also if you do want to get a doctorate (PhD) in nutrition it takes around 10 years and even then it's not the same as an MD - and Sonakshi is too young for that anyway😆Maybe I'm looking too into it but its an integral part of the show and the CV's should have done some background check before making such a blunder or at least clarified it

BHMS - is Bachelors In Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. She specialized in nutrition after that .

Yeah in the show she's shown just as a nutritionist, so technically she cannot be a doctor . Unless she's been to med school .

Here in Dubai however , We have quite a few nutritionists who are doctors .

There are certain courses and degrees that can be done with or without MBBS but of course it mean different status and definitely different pay package depending upon whether or not its a medical degree or paramedical one. Ex. - diet and nutrition , pharmacy , biochemistry , microbiology , pathology etc.
Also its just a two week old show .lots of things need to get clear like the lead's age. Their educational qualifications .. These all will come out in coming weeks.
End word - its possible for Sonakshi to be a doctor and not to be a doctor depending on her degree.

Even I thought the same! I am studying to be a nutritionist myself, and I live in the states ! It's not referred to as doctor here, but an RD (Registered Dietitian) and you can do other qualifying degrees as well! But ya, you aren't known as a doctor.

Nutritionists are not doctors. CVs made a mistake which is quite common for Hindi soaps 😉
To be technically correct they should stop calling her Dr. Sonakshi.

But if they still want to call her dr. Sonakshi, then its ok. I will still watch. I like the actress and the role and am enjoying her chemistry with Dev. So not an issue for me.
