With Aaru it was different though!! The intention was to bring it out in the open that he had sexual intercourse with a female (that too a devdasi) whilst he was practicising to be a priest and Aaru was the product of that. That was the scenario that was depicted to the audience and Mahant did not want the truth to come out then. But despite the DNA not matching he slowly began to feel an emotional bond with Aaru and was drawn to her as we saw when he was helping her in the house post the shaadi drama. And then chances never presented itself where he had to scream she was his daughter and so he didn't. But now everything is out in the open, there is no hiding anything and thus why his willingness to accept appears so open as it no longer had restraints upon it.
