I kept telling everybody in both the book and the show ,they get married .I have read the book as it in my mother tounge.the original story has a happy ending but in the show ,the Heroine dies during child birth due to gayatri tripping her off.another thing in the tamil krishnadasi show,gayatri always feels cheated due to the preference shown to sundersan(Arayan).gayatri there ,is positive in the beginning but turns negative after her marriage to David as she feels that meenaskhi(aradhya) has a hand like her grandmother in plotting against her family .banwari(Sama) in that show had a little bigger role and the actor did a great job in that.there actually sundersan (Aryan) does fake love for meenaskhi (aradhya) but that would be out of his grandfather's compulsion.. But he would really love her and meenaskhi would make him marry her through the panchyat , putting a case on him.here lot of incidents have been tweaked to cater to the Hindi audiences. The father in tha tamil show would be an army officer related to pavitra.he would have a wife and a daughter in that.the other daughter would fall in love with the hero and be the negative lead.I guess that is what purva is cast in this show for.the daughter of that army officer would be adopted .the rape theory is correct and aaru out of pressure from kumu will agree to charge Aryan in the Tamil version and she would repent later.

Acc. To tamil as u said that purva and aryan are bro-sis right? And as I came to know that in tamilian hindu a boy can marry his cousin..which is not at all acceptable in north india so that's why cvs here didn't show chimma being army officer and having other family as well.

Yes,but purva would be adopted .her parents would be friends of another officer who died on the front .yes,in our custom bua's son or daughter can marry mama's son or daughter. A sister's daughter can marry her mama too..that is why I said in Hindi they have tweaked it acc to the region's sensibilities. Gayatri is taken in by Saras to her sasural, in the Tamil version.there David would have softened by then towards gayatri but gayatri would be brainwashed by her second athiya and her husband .she would enter David"s home to wreck revenge on then.you will see a softer David there .

As far as I know,there is no English or regional version of this novel.I have seen some of Indra soundarrajan's( the author ) work translated but not this one.he is famous for writing psychological thrillers and supernatural stuff.some of the famous novels that been converted in to a TV show is vidatha karupu ,vituvudu karupu..ithese shows were a rage at that time and was produced by the famous director k balachander
