Recently I have started writing posts under a banner I call "The Philosopher's Corner. I have made 2 posts so far relating Nazar and Dil Toh Happy Hai Jo. The former received great response, but the latter did not at all. But, still I feel like I should carry on with this trend. After all, writing continuously will only one day benefit myself. This is my third attempt and I hope to see it engage others.
My attraction to KCL began when I saw Krishna stand up for Lalli during her period of domestic abuse. I think there was a lack of content available at a 6pm slot here in the UK. I was drawn to the character. I found that there was no overacting by the actress and there were seemingly apt expression, dialogue delivery and a tone rather sweet and calm. I think the fact that I always admired women who stood up for what is always wrong - domestic abuse in this case - drew me in instantly. I had seen some episodes occasionally, where Radhey seemed like a genuine man, but was a victim of a dominating father. I did keep wondering the title of the show and how it had made no sense in the plot so far. I felt perhaps the storyline had already diverted and the makers were trying something. Of course, I had jumped to conclusion based on a small induction.
I won't go too much into my journey with KCL. Since my intention here is to appreciate Krishna as a character. I like to think all of us are inclined to believe that Krishna is an extremely brave woman. Also, she is a woman who considers her situations wisely.
Lately, Krishna has had several changes in her life. From almost fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor by studying in a reputated college in London to losing the man she had began to love. But, still it seems like she has not entirely changed. She is seemingly moving on with time. She does not appear to be sulking nor does she seem to think she is ill-fated. Some of us had thought that her logic was compromised, when we saw her go through torture by her mother-in-Law. We saw her become quiet for a while. The rage in her to stand up for what is right somewhere had disappeared.
Then, over the last few episodes it seems like she has come back to herself. She stands up to Dr Veer and gives straight answers that she feels are appropriate. She stood up to her father in law and passed her decision to go to London with Dr Veer. She seem to be making those eyes again when she doesn't like what she is hearing. Today, she seemed friendly with Dr Veer and attempted to start again and lended her hand for a friendship.
You see, I like Krishna as a character. She did not dwell on the moments that were heart-wrenching, but rather kept moving. She is even willing to go against the whole family to go what she and Radhey were going to do, if they had the chance. You see that's the Krishna we know. She will fight all odds to do what is right for any given moment.
Welcome back, Krishna! It's nice to see you slowly smiling wholeheartedly again and living your life to the best you can by making your own choices and doing what you feel is right!
Stay like this!
Kind a Regards,
Ibby
