I'm outraged and really feel for Laxmi. In mythology, Soorpanakha went after Rama's Sita and got her ears cut off. In Shakespeare, "The Merchant of Venice" Shylock asks for a pound of flesh. His wife Portia saves him from certain death. Jeeva is as pure as these men, yet Nethra plays with him like a toy in her hands. She wants her pound of flesh, and there is only one person who can stop her. From being penniless, Laxmi's built an empire with Jeeva. She's capable of a lot.
As for those who argue that Jeeva should have confessed to Laxmi, his testimony on the witness stand says it all. He does not think it's his baby. He does not believe he has been unfaithful. Always he gives good news, not bad. That's what you want to bring home always.
