Shriya is a pretty good LSR product and has got it a good name as well. Some of her movies were flopping when she invaded Kollywood. Now she is the toast of it.
She wears a couple of glamorous costumes and it's a rabid statement to make that such stuff goes on throughout her movies.
Sure, her acting may border on the cocky, but then if she was a "talentless" actress like a few have attributed, what are all those people queing to sign her up called?
I recall watching a Trisha Krishnan interview on SunTv. It was filled with sentances that started with "I" "Me" and "my." It told me a lot about her character.
One just has to go to the post Sivaji tapes of how Sivaji was made. Shriya was all in praise of every set, and every person she worked with which made the experience enjoyable, and little or nothing about herself. Happy hearts make healthy hearts. Coming from a true LSR product.

But I agree completely with Trisha.. Her interviews in NDTV just showed her praising herself all the full 1 hr. 'thr r ppl to write scripts just 4 me...', 'some ppl just wnt me 2 b der in de movie bcoz i'm a leading heroine.....' blah blah blah.........reminded me of the early Prithviraj. He was so similar, and worser!😆

I agree Shriya was very pleasant in her one interview I saw, but she mainly said' yeah.' 'right......' and smiled.All she did was being very pleasnt , there was nothing intellectual abt that😊

She bagged a role with the great superstar and beat the competition.
She paired well with the great superstar.
Just her 2nd or 3rd movie she's raised the bar high enough for no actress to reach, in financial records-no one may match her, and is a good role model for present actresses.
Whether she retains numero uno or not, she'll definitely be in the hunt 2006.
She's guaged the pulse of the public very well. And it's worked for her.

excuse me, envy of few IFers? there are other reasons on why some of us don't see the oh-so-glorious shreya's good points.

puh-lease do not accuse people of being jealous of shreya. i for one admire beauty if it's presented in the right way. there's nothing right about shreya as far as i can see. whether it's her existent beauty or her non existent brain.

the main reason why i dislike her is because of her NONEXISTENT acting skills, not because i'm jealous of her. i've got enough maturity not to dislike an actress because she's rich, pretty, famous or incredibly bimbotic like our shreya.

oh wow.. shreya's intellectually stimulating? the last interview i saw of her was just full of bullcrap about how high & mighty she was. even in the mazhai interview where vijay anand was interviewing her, that kannu panni, sorry kanni was giving one word answers in english & going on about what a risky shot it was for her to jump from the building while the wood with the fire landed in front of her during the shooting of 'mazhai'.

listen lady, no one asked you to do a jackie chan. she was talking as if she did something worthy of a guiness record. nothing intellectually stimulating about that. if so, even my jack russell terrier can be intellectually stimulating if shreya is called the same.

she's a good role model for present actresses? that's surprising. maybe she'll make a good role model for victoria secrets models but not kollywood actresses. i hope NO actress follows in shreya's footsteps.

she does not set a good example to anyone. shreya's one example of how far luck can take you. it's on sheer luck itself that she's flying high in kollywood now, what with no acting skills whatsover. let's see how long her luck can last.

let me make a guess, as long as people like to see her body. but what's so special about her body? every woman has what she has, maybe she has a better figure than some of us who are accused of being jealous of her but so what? shreya's going to end up like kiran. just a boring flash in pan fizzling out because she ends up overexposing herself.
