Usha, I love the Pollathavan remix much more than the original. 😃I love the uptempo, the beats, and the rap lyrics. It is the rap and the beats that make the song different. Every time I hear that song, I start dancing and now my nephews love it and they dance with me. 😆

Yogi B (the only name he chooses to call himself) is one of the few Malaysian Indians who has broken out of the mould that Indians are only fit to be labourers, rubber tappers, lorry drivers, plantation workers etc. So what if he found his niche in rap? Why should rap be the domain of one race or one colour? Eminem is a white and look at the way he raps. For that matter, jazz and blues were originally the domain of blacks, but we have Eric Clapton, Dr. John, Steve Winwood, Michael Buble etc,. Music is universal and I for one am glad that genres are not restricted on racialistic lines.

Yogi is in fact a pioneer in Malaysian rap, being the founder member of rap group Poetic Ammo and sang in English. They had a cult following amongst English-speaking Malaysians and then Yogi B decided he wanted to focus on Tamil songs and left the English music arena. He, together with Nadchatra, another local group released an album called Vallavan that was a bestseller. They had songs such as Indian Girls and Madai Thiranthatthu. They performed these songs in Vijay TV shows which brought them attention in Tamil filmworld. If you hear MT song, you can hear his background, the difficulties he faced, the clash of Eastern and Western cultures (something I can relate to), the obstacles in his life.

Yogi B rocks - I use his MT lyrics to motivate my Tamil students, most of them who are in their early 20s. Engeiyum Epotthum is one song that I play all the time in my iPod. 😆

wow suram! you serious? trisha's mum & vikram are also 'close' friends? looks like our vicky doesn't spare anyone, even trisha's mum.😆😆

as for the rap part, do we have to throw ourselves off a building because we see other people doing that? originality rocks & there's nothing original or entertaining about imitating any artistes, be it film, rap or anything else. you will only end up with the tag 'wannabe' & pretty much nothing else. well that's about all i want to say on this matter.😊

by the way did anyone watch kallori yet? i watched it today & the movie really struck a chord in my heart. tamana's performance was really praise worthy.👏👏 tams emotes well & clicks easily with the rest of her co-stars. i liked the hero akil too. his romance with tamana was so endearing & i loved the way he struggled with his emotions whenever he came across her.😳😳 the rose imprinted handkerchief of hers that he always kept in his pocket.. aww.. cho sweet!😳😳

kallori was such a good film.. i wonder why it didn't suceed? maybe because it didn't have big heroes acting in it alongside the top heroines plus it didn't have any overseas locations..😔

Jiggs, I watched that too. The movie was
absolutely natural - in the beginning. It
portrayed the rural group getting in to
college - but the bus incident was copied
from the original incident where 3 Agricultural
college students were burnt alive - political
victims - and that must have put off people -
basically, Tamil crowd likes happy ending and
any direct reference to such sensitive
issues gets shunned by the public!!!

Latest gossip here : Vikram was seen in Singapore with Shaila Nair, who used to be famous in Tamil scene here in Malaysia, and then became the daughter-in-law of prominent Indian minister and then became very infamous for a home-made video.

VIKRAM!!! What are you doing? 😡 God, never imagined him being a player.

I watched Kalluri too. So that is Tamana. Not bad. I liked the ending though it was sad.

Roja, so the burning down of the bus is based on true story? How sad.

I won't mind watching this movie again. Too bad they did not show this in cinema.

Aha...............Vikram , watch out, once people get some bad feeling abt you, your image wil start falling!!!! No matter whether you were magnificient in Anniyan, or as boring in Bheema!

Seems Vikram is a changed person now. Even in hub, there was a topic abt Vikram's changed personality- they quoted some things he said in an interview and were brooding over whther this is the same Vikram who was so humble when he gave consecutive hits in 2003-2004 😕

wow.. looks like most of you enjoyed kallori as much as i did. i've watched it about 3 times now & each time, i just grow to love it more & more.

this has to be the most realistic portrayal of young love blossoming in college. there's no glitz, no glamour, no duets, no villians seperating the lovers & no heroic fights.

i thought it was sweet how tamana felt bad for akil after she saw his young sister working in the quarry. the last part was SO sad!😭😭 i cried when i watched the group cry out when the 3 burnt girls were brought from the bus. tsk tsk.. some people are so blinded by the fever of politics that they don't even see the innocent lives taken in front of their eyes.😔

karthikka, wasn't shaila having some problems with her hubby, so much so that mr samivelu sent her off somewhere far away from his son? are shaila & mr samivelu's son divorced or something?

there was a rumour here in singapore that vikram was seen with a local singapore actress named raji punithan once when he came for a star night in our country. i don't know what happened to that supposed affair but now vikram is with shaila..

goodness.. vikram is a thorough womaniser ain't he? he even upped ajith & vijay in terms of women matters.😆😆

ditty, what do you mean? you mean vikram is actually getting a big head now? he used to be so humble. that's the reason why i adored him.

looking at some of these leading men, i cannot help but envy jothika. she got a real gem of a husband surya who never ever womanised & is still loyal as ever to her!😳😳

Seriously, im shocked hes turning into a egoistic person he seems so humble and normal.
