Although im not a rakhi fan... i dont dislike her either so my opinion towards her is very unbiased.. it takes a hell lot of guts to confess things like she did on national tv. So that's definitely a quality i admire about her. She said it all... shes had surgery done, experienced the castin couch, kind of in a live-in relationship and even admitted to seeing someone unlike most people in the glamorous industry. There are a few things id like to comment on the surgery matter... its true that surgery is done by nearly all and sundry in bolly & fashion biz... nearly most of them. I have a friend whos friend was dating kim sharma before she got into bollywood. He recalls her being quite flat chested but not anymore is she? Even sushmita and shilpa shetty have had some surgery done. There is speculation about aishwarya.... who knows.... but they nobody admits to it.

On the other hand there are a few things which from the publics point of view could be regarded as signs of being a sympathy seeker. I mean she shouldnt blow her trumpet about how shes had to take care of her family and her parents splittin up and having to take everyones responsibility cos most people would have done the some... it was her duty to do so....family is important after all. I just think that she shouldnt go on too much about it.... people might start to disregard her if she drags it on. She seems pretty down to earth compared to mallika who's turned into an oomph too big for her boots lass.... claiming to be sexiest and being able to perform better than kareena in yeh mera dil.... what not... i mean atleast rakhi doesnt do that... she hasnt got the attitude of being the most ravishing out of all.

Shes funny as well definitely.....but I think she does go a bit overboard with the exposure... i mean its not needed.... if she wants to prove her talent then she will have to work on her acting skills... over exposure wont make her look classy thats in my perspective.. each one to his own. There was a controversy about her which appeared in the news where a gurl was shown not clearly though in a hotel taking money from some guys and these journalists had recorded it discreetly... it seemed to be her she did get a lot of slack for that

All in all, i guess its good to be the way you are, rather politically incorrect & genuine but to make sure that you're not going overboard... if she does work on these qualities then she'll gain a lot more popularity... what do you all think?

I've also found an interview with rakhi sawant which contradicts to some of the things she said in the kwk show

check it out.. kinda weird dont know what to believe πŸ˜• Its still quite sensational...

I agree to a certain degree about what you said. But there;'s just one thing: first of all, i never knew who rakhi sawant was until jiknh. When she talks about helping her siblings out, think about it: It WAsn't her duty to do it, esp when she was 12 yrs old. She was the youngest child of the house. To further her siblings' careers and lives, she gave up her own education, as a result, she can't speak very good English in the real world. I mean, come on, us masses are so fickle.... if we see a star who can't speak English very well, and are so blunt & open about their humble backgrounds, media & masses tend to mock them. Is it her DUTY to give all of that up at the tender age of 12, and her being the youngest?

By making it public, Rakhi is making it known to the public, that she didn't become such a "sex symbol" out of a whim. That she's a product of a lower middle class background and has had to work for each and every penny that she has earned, with her sweat and blood. Her dad left her, her family still gives her a lotta shit, even though they've lived off of her most of her life. Heck man, it might be such a bitter pill to swallow at that.

You're right about her down to earth attitude... She doesn't forget where she came from. She's making it known to people that she came from the very bottom to the Koffee with Karan show. So if i were in her shows, I'd blow my own trumpet too. I do agree with your comments about surgeries, casting couch and all. I for a fact knwo that each and every actress has had to go thru it, but nobody will admit it. She's the first one to do so, and as a result, maybe the system MIGHT change. She's making people aware of what you might get yourself into, if you take her route.

As far as over-exaggerating and going overboard. To come from such humble beginnings, one has to be louder than everybody else, to be heard. The person in the back of the auditorium at a function has to shout the loudest for his voice to be heard closer to the stage. That's all!!

I also kind of enjoy reading this!I somehow also agree with kiranbo6 on the fact that it was not at all her duty to look after her siblings and all but still she did it!!

Hey kiran i do understand your point of view but the reality is that in today's world no one really cares and people don't have the patience to listen to someone's story over and over again. It's just how the general concensus thinks/reacts to given situations. People could start to think that this person is trying to game fame/sympathy and seeking for attention in order to advance. I think people may misjudge her and not bother to believe what she's saying. Plus, we don't exactly know her well enough to ascertain that the whole story is the truth. There's always an element of doubt... if you know what I mean.

Talking about the effort/struggle that many starlets go through.... to be honest sleeping with several directors/famous people doesn't exactly mean struggle..that's definitely questionable.

I do respect your point of view though.

Thanks chocodip. You're right that people don't want to hear the same story over and over again. But i don't think Rakhi is the kinda girl to really pay too much attention to what people think of her. If she did, she would not have reached where she is...not that she's some sort of a Madhuri or Ash, but the fact that she has stability in her life, thru fortune and fame. Some people just don't want to forget where they came from, hence they will talk about it.

Also, I'm sure she felt the need to defend herself when people were thinking and saying bad stuff about her. I mean on KWK, they would talk about a sex change operaation, etc about her. So her point is, I've struggled to make it, more than most of the fraternity, so don't condemn me, but respect me for who i am.

I mean, on KWK, do you guys remember her saying that she "doesn't want to get married and have children, seeing what her parents and family went thru." I'm sure she's seen successful marriages, but because of her past, she's scared to go that route. So hence, her past has not left her at all, which is why it comes up often in her interviews.

i didn't know who she was. the only reason i knew her because on kwk rapidfire round, karan used to mention her. and i thought she was like another girl.
after watching her on kwk. pretty much it changed my attitude toward her. even though i am not sure what she had to go through during her childhood. but i did got the part where she talks abuot her family. if someone ordinary sees her family member they would "shes my niece" and noone would belive them cause even rakhi doesn't pay much attention to her family.
i wish she would get married and change her attitude toward marriages and kids. cause she deserves.
i love her laid back and openness. she just blast outs watever she wants to say. thats very hard to have in ur personality. i mean noone says out loud, everyone just back stabbs you.
i hope she becomes sucessful women. not that she is one.

I agree fully with whatever all of you have said. It takes guts to get noticed. It isn't easy. So when she goes on and on and on about her family etc she does it so we can understand her better and her roots and how she came from zilch to zenith. I admire her for that.πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜³
But I do not advocate her exposing. She needs to do it to get noticed but there is differnce between doing to get noticed and doing it as a life job.
