Absolutely! This is an entertainment show for bollywood. Nowhere it is said that it is a show to openly discuss and force people or stars to wash their life's personal problems in public.
There are many other things like Saif's childhood, Soha's childhood, their education, Saif's experiences abroad while he was studying, their relationship as siblings, as son or daughter to such a royal family. And ofcourse their newly attained popularity and their careers.
But no..!! Karan Johar chooses to discuss the past with Amrita and spice it up with Rosa! Disgusting!

Saif , I'm sure, if he did consent it before, surely did not know the extent to which Karan was curious. He would have had no idea of the way Karan could limitlessly probe and interfere in his life. I''m sure in his thinking, as any nomal person thinks, he would have thought, like any other topic, this topic will also get 2-3 questions. That's why he was patientlty answering in the beginning. But then slowly, even he got impatient and irritated. He does give a little hint of irritation when Karan questions Soha about it. But it his manners that kept him from showing his irritation on the camera.

His initial movie, rather most of the movies till date are made to allure the Indian crowd. You are right, thats certainly nothing meaningful . Where focusing on making a meaningful movie is concerned, I do not expect anything like that from him because he certainly does not give an impression to me that he can do any meaningful cinema. 👎🏼

And I totally agree...he doesn't have a right to go barging into other people's personal lives,it's not human-like to do so

Thats exactly why I dont have any expectations from him as a director but I do expect him to act as a civilised human being! That was the point that got me to write about this in the first place!

I disagree with all the people who think Karan crosses all boundaries.

First of all,Karan knew all this information beforehand about all that happened between Saif-Amrita.He's a very close friend of Saif's.

I personally feel that this is one show that stars don't mind getting open on.Kareena admitted her relationship and even Vivek did.From the time all this divorce controversy was spread on...Saif did not make one open comment.

This is the first time he talked about it...and I'm sure everybody was expecting him to be open on this show because Karan is always so comfortable with all his guests that they don't mind in opening up.

Well.. I would say there is a limit to it! There is a limit in prying into someone's lives. 2 or 3 questions should have satisfied Karan's curiousity, if he must ask questions to spice up his show (though on the first place, I disagree with any such kind of interference in anyone's personal life). But he chose to drag it throughout the episode, ranging the questions from his feelings, Soha's feelings, his family's feelings, Rosa's feelings, and he did not even spare the children. This certainly to me means, he was prying into all their lives too, and not just Saif's. According to me, very cunning and heartless of him just to make the show fun! 😒

Here's my take on KJ!!!

I feel he is great director. Ppl say he is gay 😉 but I feel that all these allegations are byproduct of stardom!!! 🤢 I have loved all his movies for the emotions expressed. 😳 Most of the time I end up aggreeing with his ideas!!!!So,In all I like him. 😊

Coming to his interviews in KWK, I dont know how many of you are aware that most of the time the stars who come on the sets know the topic that would be discussed with them and them come prepared with the answers.Stars who are not convinced about any topic, make it a point to tell Karan that they wouldnt wanna discuss it.
eg: Rani about her alleged affair with Aditya Chopra...He didnt touch it though he touched the Beneras issue. 😉

and yes, If any star doesnt wanna answer any of it, he can just say "No Comments" as Ash did in the last season!!!!KJ will never press you for answers!!!!

KJ himself knows that his questiosn are cheesy 😛 and that makes the star opposite him stir his mind but then they can choose to loose the coffee hamper..will not make a difference in their lives...butmost of the stars take it in their spirit and play it.If Saif had a problem with it, he would have refused to come on the show like any other stars like Salman Khan, Amir Khan and even Rosa for that matter...

And yes, end of it what matters is that the show shld be successful and gatehr the max TRPs!!! and to attain that, these controversial topics are important but ofcourse with the star's consent!!!

last but not the least, Saif's interview had come in the newspapers where in he had told his journalist friend that after his break up with Amrita, ppl have taken him all wrong and he wants to make public appereance and clear this off...All his explanations were written off by not only the layman but even the industry ppl...and at that time its only his acting ability that made him still stick to the industry..so, I guess Saif is very eager to talk to ppl and tell them that after all he is not a bad guy but somehow I have never been convinced!!

I am new to KWK section and just wanted to share my thoughts about Karan to you all......

Karan is a very good and talented director and he has done so much in a very young age. He have given us the best of the bollywood and his films are filled with real emotions and ofcourse our Shahrukh....

Now Karan as a person I think he really likes to know about people's life and his show KWK is all about people and thier lives I can understand that he ask too much about personal lives but that's how he is like but it doesn't matter I stil like him.

Most important thing ppl are alwasy talking about his and Shahrkh's friendship but let me tell you ppl we should give example of thier freindship.....I mean in every film of Karan there is Shahrukh and Shahrukh said in jina issi ka naam hai that "after me there is only one person who can take care of my family and that is Karan." That is so sweet

anyways sorry it was too long but I like Karan whatever he is and love his show

😆I agree with you dancingdoll, you stole the words right out off my mouth, Yes, everybody knows that Karan is gonna ask them about their private lives, he asked all his guest this season, And karan even said that if one of my guest are uncomfortable with a certain question, i edit it or i delete it👏.

But i do think karan was a little bit too nosy in asking saif and than soha again, saif did look uncomfortable, but he came for the inter view to clear up everything.👏
