well all shows have their ups and downs...I'm sure coronation street sucked at one point...I HATE IT!...but look at other soaps like days of our lives...it was such a hit and now is so stupid...maybe later on it'll get good...just like how Kkusum is starting to get good...the whole point of these long serials are to make them soap operas!...

i do agree with you partly, but:

UK soaps have more than one story in a soap, so they can start and finish at different times; But Indian serials have just one story, so there is a limited lifetime for it. Also, like Kkusum and Jassi, one character is the protagonist, and has to stay lead the whole time, which makes the story short
  • But UK soaps don't have main leads, so they can concentrate on different characters and stories within certain periods of time, amd move on

I have to say one thing...American and UK soaps make fewer bloopers than Indian ones...what I mean by that is people just don't disappear...like Garv and Nikita and Vidhi and Trishul and Taashu and a whole bunch of other people just VANISHED...it's very rare in American and UK soaps...and it's especially common in Ekta Kapoor serials!!!

Where did Sonali, Jimmi, Priyanka, Shashank, Yash, Aastha, Baba, and Ujval go? I asked once and someone said they died in that train accident that Kkusum and Ayi were in...but then later I saw the episode just before the 18 year leap when the accident had just happend...and Kkusum has this bandaid on her forehead...and everyones saying bye to her...why didn't they go with kkusum and ayi...where did they go?
