Kill me, please!
An over-worked Hiten Tejwani asks Ekta Kapoor to kill his character
Sapana Patil
Donning three different roles for three dailies is no child's play. And Hiten Tejwani is no exception. Currently he is running from one set to another to make it for his three shows: Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kesar and Kkavyanjali. And apparently his routine has left him losing a lot of weight.
So what, you ask? Well the buzz is that he has requested prouder Ekta Kapoor to relieve him from his commitment to Kesar! And if the rumours are to be believed, they will shoot for the sequence soon. Tejwani plays the role of Abhi in
Kesar.
But ask him about the news and the answer is a straight 'No'. Will he continue working on all the three shows? An even straighter 'Yes'
But eventually he admits, "They (producers) are planning to bump off my character." However he reveals no more and refuses to elaborate on how the character will meet its end. He says, "It is not clear as of now, how or when the death sequence will happen. But this new track is beginning."
A close source though was more forthcoming, "Yes, the character is being killed. There are many reasons to it. One: the story needed it. And two: Hiten is doing three serials. So there is a problem of dates. We tried to manage and adjust the schedule, but it did not help. Things will get complicated as his track in Kkavyanjali is increasing. Also Kyunki… has gone five days a week from four. That will require him to shoot more for Kyunki…"
Incidentally Kavita Kaushik (Porinita of Zee's Tumhari Disha) has been introduced in Kesar very recently. Her entry is being seen as a move to maintain viewer interest post Tejwani's exit.
Hiten Tejwani had replaced Eijaz Khan as Abhi in Kesar in March. Because Khan had to replace Rakshak Sahani as Kkavya in Kkavyanjali. Tejwani then joined the Kkavyanjali to play liquor baron Yug Mittal.
