You know when two people are really close to each other and have a platonic friendship, sometimes it takes a moment to realize that you feel for that person as more than a friend. I don't know when that moment was for Eijaz, but somewhere down the line, he started to think of Anita and feel for her as more than just a best friend.
Before, when he used to hug her, it was probably just a friendly hug that meant "hey, how are you doing?" But when he realized those special feelings and now when he hugs her, he is probably thinking about how nice her hair smells and how great she feels in his arms. Now when he looks into her eyes, he is trying to find love for himself, and drowning in them, rather than just seeing a sincere friend.
So, she is more than a best friend ... But not yet a girlfriend.
I am sure it has happened with some of you. When a best friend becomes more than a best friend but not yet a girlfriend?
