Anjali is walking down the road, and a stanza from hum bewafa nahi plays. She remembers all the times that pammi took ved away from her arms and when she herself was mourning over her baby's death.
She thinks to herself that how could she not recognise ved as he was so close to her yet so far. She decides that she must go to the nandas and get her Ved back.
At the Nanda's house, there is a puja going on, and bauji asks where pammi is, pammi walks in and trys to tell him that ved is unwell but he doesn't let her finish what she is trying to say. She then goes to her room and breaks down crying next to ved (in his cot) she says sorry beta I tried to tell your ma but she wouldn't listen to me, she says prays to God that he send anjali as she is the only who can save ved. She goes on to say that she is prepared to face the consequences/punishment she just wants ved to be saved. (amazingly nandini managed to move me!😕)
Anjali walks into the nanda house, and asks where is my "bacha" the rest of the family seem kind of shocked, they say ved is upstairs, anjali runs upstairs to see pammi holding ved. She looks at him longingly😳. Anjali is fuming she tells pammi that she stole her ghar, parivaar and bacha and what kind of person is she etc.. Pammi says that she does not regret anything that she has done to anjali. Also admits that yes she used ved for her own purposes, that she hates anjali a lot but that its her mujboori that she has called anjali. Pammi goes on to say that she knows that anjali would come to take ved away from her but she confessed the truth as she wants to see ved alive and well. She tells anjali that ved is unwell and he needs his real mother and that please go see the doctor. Anjali turns and says that ok she will go see the doctor but that pammi will never be able to separate ved from her.
As she walks out of the room, everyone is standing outside worried, pammi is crying and says that anjali has gone pagal. Bauji says its not anjalis fault she is still not over the loss of her own baby.
Anjali goes to visit the doctor, who tells her that ved has a condition which can only be cured if the mother donates tissue. She goes and sits outside in the hospital reception. Pammi comes and sits down with anjali.Anjali says that ved needs her and she needs ved and that pammi doesn't even figure and that she will save her son.
Back at the nanda's all are worried for anjali, bauji and shlok are just about to go look for her when she walks in, she goes to ved and picks him up. Pammi walks in and, demands to know what anjali is doing, anjali says not to shout and that she will tell the truth, which is that ved is her son. At this point pammi is shouting and they struggle between themselves for the baby.. pammi then gets ved and pushes anjali over.
She collapses and the doctor is called. The doctor says that anjali needs rest.. bauji says that anjali is my daughter and that she will stay here. Pammi says no way is anjali staying here.. but bauji explains that anjali is still mourning her babys death..
He says that its my final decision that anjali stay here.. anjali looks over to pammi, and pammis last lines are that thank God our plan is going how we wanted it to!😛
