There's a lot I wanted to express, but I expressed it directly after watching the episode.
Arjun's Arohi made my heart melt.
His monologue on the sequence of events being proposterous seemed to me a way for Arjun to convince himself of Arohi's love. It wasn't just a series of statements proving to Arohi that their love stilll existed, but rather a way for him to convince himself that Arjun is in fact Arohi's and not some KS's, that there is still hope of them being together.
No offence, but I found the 'dil dhakarna' scene very cute, but a little feminine. I think Karan Kundra the man came in the way and made the dialogue sound a little funny. But the thought behind it was very sweet. The dialogue was so pointless...I mean a basic science student would know why a heart beats faster than usual.
And that smile AP was carrying throughout his monologue seemed very fake. Now we know KK has had a few smile problems in the past, but I would like to believe that this extremely broad smile was a way of hiding his long list of queries and his confusion and desperation. It seemed a desperate attempt by AP to continue living in Paradise (Fool's Paradise rather), to be oblivious of the problems in their lives. But the worry was evident in his eyes...the contrast made it even more of a desperate attempt to live in complete oblivion. Maybe I'm reading too much into it...but that's what I get.
Okay...Arohi's cheeks. What's with the rose. LOL. But hey.
The card handing ceremony...itch move. Agreed. But as we were discussing at the last adda, this was Arohi's last chance to be with the love of her life, yet she couldn't express that love or else Arjun would be convinced of her being blackmailed. She had to make the conversation realistic to their present situation, and also make most use of this opportunity to fulfill her previously failed attempts at making Arjun believe she no longer loves him. So it was a multipurpose meeting. Whether it was right or wrong, we can go on about...but why does it matter, when the Arohi's heart doesn't care about right or wrong. Her heart wants to give up everything for Arjun and see the same Arjun one last time. Of course, we know it's not the last time they're going to see each other, but for Arohi she'll never be able to look at him, feel his presence the same way. It's her practical way of saying Goodbye.
Also, her giving AP the wedding card makes must give her more power. She's declared it to him that she's marrying KS. Everything she's questioning inside, hesitant about, she's saying confidently in front of AP. So that must give her some strength to move on and away from AP. So, I think the card handing ceremony was an important step towards her fully fulfilling the blackmailer's demands. Her 'sachai' dialogues really make me feel that.
And then my favourite dialogue..."Bandh kardo mujhe in nazron se dekhna"
That was just tear jerking, as was Arohi's wide smile fading into a sad face.
'Yehi sachai hai Arjun," It seemed to be a failing, desperate man's attempt to make credible his words
"baki sab juth" while this part was said with the strength the first part should have also been said with if in fact Arohi did not love Arjun.
Basically, that scene served
-to satisfy Arohi's aching heart's desire
-as a third attempt to prove to Arjun Arohi's change of heart
-prove to Arohi herself the reality of her present situation and her marriage to KS.
When he's looking down at the card, she looks at him really quickly. It was like she just wanted to hug him...she couldn't tolerate his pain. It was really quick..but I can't get enough of it. She feels his pain and her pain. For her the pain is double...she has to tolerate her own heart break, tolerate her being the reason for her love's heart break, and tolerate his heart shattering at her every word.
When she turns around and walks away...mannnnn I couldn't stop crying! It was simply heart breaking. It was executed so well. And ahhh...so emotional...just like the other day when she leaves him after he proposes. Absoloutely heart-breaking.
Also, everytime they quote the phera episode, the first thought that crosses my mind is..Arohi must be staying true to her promises...but how! I want to know this whole mystery so I can see whether she's actually living up the promises she made.
Anyways...and CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!
Those outdoor scenes..that ENTIRE episode is etched so well in my mind that I couldn't tolerate them using those same scenes for this situation. Gahhhhhhhhhhh. Each situation has a different set of emotions....agreed it would've been expensive, but they could've done something else. Gosh mannnnnn...I have never seen something like this before. The entire time, instead of feeling her pain, I was just angry at how ridiculous it was to jus copy paste the scene. So so so so so so so so stupid! Ahhhh! If they can't understand their characters enough or believe in their ability to shoot a proper scene to express Arohi's unique emotions at this time, then how can I even consider that they're creative enough to handle a beautiful story. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So irritating!
Anyways....Arjun just standing there..not moving...being still...all seem to indicate Arohi's words have basically killed him. He walks away...but he seems to be walking away completely lost. The dead leaf that rests on his shoulder...perhaps that symbolizes Arjun's condition on the inside. He finds himself shocked, confused, unable to understand....😭
Paddy's such a joke! ahahhaha love her. lol
Did I mention I'm loving Salil and Purvi! From what they're doing for Arjun and Arohi to how Shresth and Pooja are acting deserves accolades! Love em!
The other favourite dialogue ...'kaha na...shaadi pe bulaya hai." Not cuz of what he said, but beacuse of the way he said it. He's completely lost everything. He sounds like a completely defeated man. His slight smiles while Salil tries to encouarge him further emphasize his defeat, his compliance with fate. He realizes that nothing more can be done...it seems as if, temporarily, he's lost any hope of being with Arohi. Before he was just startled, but suddenly Arohi seems to have been successful. She seems to have convinced Arjun of his Arohi-less future, but unfortunately it's not so easy for him to completely forget her and move on.
Also, the entire time it seemed like he wasn't looking at Salil and Purvi. His eyes were unfocused and lost, they were looking but not percieving. He was just mouthing his hopeless mind's thoughts. The biting of the lip...it's so something I would do..to me it's like 'yeah (with a sigh)...it's not going to work out."
His condition was heart breaking.
I loved the contrast...Sur's life filled with happiness...Arohi's is empty, sad, unfilfilling. But it's not fair...why does Sur get all the attention and Arohi Purvi? Arohi is older you know! And as much as I would love red on Arohi since she's the dulhan. She's just not a happy dulhan....a dull colour, for a dull dulhan. So it works. And again we see a broad smile which hides immense sadness. Why do people try so hard?
Anyways, Papiya Sen Gupta acted really well in her little scene! But I think someone has hindi accent problems...Saleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel. LOL
And I think the end would've been more engrossing had I not seen the SBS interveiw. lol.
Anyways, in its entirety I thought today's episode worked. It shattered each piece of my broken heart. I'm just waiting for this shattering to continue on and on and on. lol
