@Anu...along with providing some great laughs, yet again, your post really hit home how FAR HP's character has drifted in the past few weeks. Actually, after watching the video clip you posted - and in particular Part 2 of the same sequence - it really has hit me hard. Mostly because I don't actually see a way back for him. The character has been mutilated beyond redemption. How does he come back?? I wonder.
DK's words after HP's rejection say it all: "yes..i like this man...mujhe aaj tak kissi ne na nahin bola..lekin iski naa mein bhi ek izzat thhi". Can those same words be used to describe the HP we see today, shouting & screaming at a boy (yes, arjun is a boy to him... his good friend & support's son)?
Throughout the worst of times, when HP had cancer, when Arjun broke up Salil's marriage, etc etc, HP maintained a decorum about him. Even confronting DK Punj, after all hell had broken loose (on the park bench) HP spoke in a very civil and composed manner with DK. No matter how much he hated the man.
Has his essence, his character, changed since then? What has transpired between the time he left for the US and now that could cause such a vast change? Surely nothing worse than before. Suddenly he is using language that is completely beneath him and making him seem class-less.
So I've written at least a pamphlet, if not a book. But your post instigated me to write these things that I had advised none of us to think about just a few days ago. 😆 Oh, the irony.
