Together we stand
I'll be by your side
You know I'll take your hand
When it gets cold
And it feels like the End
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
Keep Holdin' On
'cuz you know we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'cuz you know am here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So Keep Holdin' On…....
Today, I don't know who could've sung this song & for whom…would Arjun dedicate this song for Arohi, or would it be the other way around??? Today, I think, BOTH would've laid down their lives for each other if they had to, "bas itni mohabbat hai".
Ria, today I do this your way because today's story deserves this, to be told in parts, under separate headings, each one unfolding as beautifully as the one before. Please forgive me for not being original.
The Wall Shattered:
Arohi is trapped in the fire, screaming for help, terrified for her life. She turns around to stare at the fire, searching for survival tactics, praying for a miracle, and then He comes, the answer to her prayers, always. And the best part is that she knows it's him, even before she turns to look around, because her Heart knows it before her mind can even register the fact. Arohi turns, relief flooding her face when her eyes meet his, looking at him with a myriad expressions crossing her face, most clearly reflected in her eyes; relief at the fact that she FINALLY saw him since the Driver incident, guilt at the fact that she doubted him, pain at the cruel joke Fate played at them, and pure, untarnished Love that warmed her almost dead heart, the Love she had kept alive for him even in her feeble attempts to hate him. She clutches at his hand, separated by the glass window, for support and reassurance, while he looks on, confused at her look in her eyes, hesitant hope, that she MIGHT just be aware of the truth, peeking from behind knotted eyebrows. He finally becomes aware of the danger Arohi is in and tells her to step back so he can "break the wall separating them". He finally manages to get to her, wrapping his arms around her, but stopping himself so that he doesn't hug her in his haste.
The Surrender:
I surrender everything
To feel the chance to live again
I reach to you
I know you can feel it too…
We'll make it through
A thousand dreams I still believe
I'll make you give them all to me
And hold you in my arms and never let go
I surrender
The way Arohi kept looking at Arjun while he searched for a means to save them was so painful, yet beautiful. She surrenders her soul to him, not caring whether she lives or dies, not caring whether his attempts to save her would work. All she cares about is that he's here in front of her, cradling her in his arms as if she's the most precious thing he ever held. She hurts herself in the process, and tells him to leave, to save himself; she's happy to die, seeking solace in the knowledge that he loved her, and still does. But how can Arjun leave his "zindagi" behind??? She rests there, protected in his arms, trusting him completely, her eyes, never once leaving his face. Ganeshji's statue in her hands signifies the fact that God himself have blessed them and their Love. Arjun then jumps with her outside the window, away from the angry flames.
The Confession:
From this moment, Life has begun
From this moment, You are the One
Right beside you, is where I belong
From this moment on…
"Tere ishq ne mohe rang dala…" If you lose something once, and you get it back, you treasure it like never before. Arjun & Arohi both lost their Love, but now, when their Life was in jeopardy, they realized the true importance of the other…They stare into each others eyes, drowning in the ocean of love that is reflected in them, until Arjun comes back to (or loses???) his senses and tells her that it was all a farce, he lied to save her. Arohi is not fooled, even for a nano-second. She tells him that she knows it all, knows what he did for her, and how much he loves her. Catch Arjun's agonized expression when he says that he hates her, as if the very words were causing him immense physical pain. Arohi whips him around, saying that she hates him too, and then starts kissing him madly, her love & passion over-shadowing every other emotion in her.
"Bataya kyun nahi ki ye sab tum mere liye kar rahe the??"
"Bata deta toh tum manti??"
"You're right, nahi manti. I don't deserve you."
"Tum kahin nahi jaa rahi ho Miss Arohi Sharma, na aaj, na kal, aur na uske baad…"
OH, my Goodness…I melted when he said those lines, how the frickin' hell was Arohi still on her feet??? She should've been wobbly jelly after those words hit her…
And them comes the dizzying confession, one that we've waited for since 2 months & 26 days (counted from April 20th). Even after all that happened in the lives of our fav Jodi, the ups & downs their Love went through, what amazes me is the innocence that still underlines their Love. It's still Heaven blessed (though tainted by Fate), still larger than life, and so pure, "pak". It brought tears to my eyes when their foreheads touched, their Destiny sealed to include the other, their Fates entwined, never to let go. "Bas itni mohabbat hai…"
P.S. This is probably my longest post till date, but this one HAD to be long, because today was so special. It will forever remain a part of me.
P.S. 2: If this was her reaction to finding out that Arjun stills loves her, I shudder to think about the time she'll find out that he went to jail to protect her!!! *phew*
