Err...a little late on the bandwagon

"So you said yes?" his heartbreak evident in those four words.
That caught her a little offguard. She had expected to hear arrogance, possessiveness, indifference. Not this.
There were many responses to his intrusive question. A part of her wanted to go ahead and tell him to mind his own business,
another wanted her to just confirm what he thought and take savage pleasure in his grief that she was to marry someone else.
"No." her own answer caught her unawares.
"Why?" he asked looking into her eyes which were slowly filling up with tears.
"Because, if nothing Arjun, I have always been honest in my relationship with you. In hate and in love. And because Arjun, I loved you and let that love ruin my life. I don't think I can do it again."
She made to remove his hand from her wrist but he held on to it firm. And gave a smile so reminiscent of the one when he found out it was Purvi not her whom Salil loved.
"Arohi.... If you think its my love that ruined your life, what do you think your love did? It took me away from home, my father. All I have done in this city Arohi is put you one step closer to your goal. One day at a time.
My methods may have been dubious Arohi. Not my intentions or reasons. All I want is for you to be happy.For tears never to fill up your eyes like they are today..." he said wiping them off her cheeks.
"Sometimes Arohi....Truth is not what you see or hear...But what you know from within" he said, laying their clasped hands together on her heart. "And the truth is Arohi......he said, clasping her hand even more tightly,
"Sirf tumhara alawa yeh sara zamana jaanta hai ...........ki mujhe tumse Kitni Mohabbat hai."
