YEH KYA HO RAHA HAI???? Aarohi awoke on her bed and squinted at her surroundings and remembered that she was in the Punj outhouse. She rushed through her daily chores and chose to wear a yellow and white pretty chudidaar. She wriggled sum bangles onto her bare hands and brushed her long black hair. "Hmmm...perfect" she smiled at the mirror. A sharp honking sound irritated her ear she marched out in fury and demanded to a smug looking Arjun "Kya hain....subah subah itni shor kyun macha rahe ho?" "Mohtarma, agar aap jaldi karenge toh meherbani hogi...Dad ne bola hai tumhe academy lene ke liye ....Mera koi shauk nahi hai tumhare peeche dum hilane ki..." Aarohi jst rolled her eys and sat in the car.
Aarohi made sure that she didn't come across Arjun the whole day in the academy...but she heard loads of buzz about him though...and the most shocking one was that " Arjun Punj is a care-two-hoots about gals .....and takes no interest even in flirting at the slightest!!!"
"....kya bakwaas...that super-smoocher is actually a touch-me-not????" she thought angrily to herself. She resolved not to let her thoughts stray back to him..but failed miserably....."what was he doing in the director's office then....experimenting?" she fumed. "Mere baap ka kya jaata hai agar woh kiski ladki ko ...joh bhi kare..." she reprimanded herself. Basically her whole day went in thinking about Arjun.
Arjun too was in the same plight...he was dreaming ....and constantly remembering Aarohi..her singing...her eyes....so lively and beautiful...her smile....so charming...her hair..so silky....
"Lagta hai Arjun demonstration dena chaheja..." the lecturer taunted him breaking his flow of thoughts..."huh?" he looked lost...
The lecturer had recognized the distant look in Arjun's eyes and decided to teach him a lesson. "Yes Master Punj....would you like demonstrating to the rest of the class the meaning of smoothness in voice without rough ends..." Sahil sniggered.....Arjun never sang....he always managed to pass semesters by the quantity of donations.....though he had a good voice...
Arjun's face was flushed and the lecturer's blazing look was doing more harm. The whole class was staring at him ....in breathless silence...they wanted to hear him sing...
Arjun closed his eyes and Aarohi's lovely face flashed before him....she smiling and laughing at him...he opened his eyes...and den...

His voice was soul-stirring....everything beneath the sun came to a halt...only his voice flowed mellifluously creating sensations never felt before....the lecturer was shocked....in total filmi style..."us saale ko sau volt ka jhatka laga". ....the whole class gave him a standing ovation and the academy thundered with their claps...Sahil jumped over three desks and hugged Arjun.."Kya boss!!!! inspiration kahaan se mili???" Arjun just smiled...
The ended in total horror for Aarohi...she was dead scared of herself cause she was non-stop thinking of Arjun and a total success for him...he was declared the unbeatable voice of the academy. He met her near the academy gates..."Er..Aarohi...studio chale?" he asked her throwing her a cute smile...she was shell-shocked.."Did he just smile at me?....Aarohi u r freaking out....contral kar...yaar!" They both set off to the studio together each lost in their own thoughts...
"FM laga sakte ho?" Aarohi requested...she felt that the silence between them was killing her and making a bigger passage for unwanted thoughts to barge into her head....
"Sure!" he smiled again....and obliged...
"Aaj hum baatein karenge kuch aisi majboori ki...joh hum pehle kabhi nahi jaante the...jee haan....Have you ever hated to love someone...."the jockey was saying. Arjun almost crashed the car...that was just how he was feeling. He didn't know why he was being drawn towards this girl whom he had determined to hate....
"This song is for you guys..." the jockey said and Rihanna's voice glided out of the system...Aarohi was trying her best to read Arjun's expression..his smile had been replaced again by a frown...
"Ajeeb Aadmi hain.." she muttered to herself...

The car came to a halt..."Studio aa gaya.." he quitely told her.
She looked nervous now...and fumbled with the door...he bent over and helped her..In the process her hair fell on his face and he took in her fragrance which made his senses numb...he shivered at his own reaction..."Arjun get a grip on yourself man!" he chided himself.
They both walked to the lobby of the studio and she was dead tensed by now and was muttering some prayer under her breath...
Something came over him and he grabbed her hand...she looked at him...stunned a little...
"Don't worry...U'll do great!" he reassured her feeling the warmth of her palm against his...and for the first time...she smiled!!!!!!!!!!!
