Thank you Guys!!! Here goes the next part. Sorry to leave the cliff-hanger, but I think you all will know what it is.
Part 6:
I looked at Arohi, her eyes were red and her kajal was all smeared because of the crying. Slowly, I sat beside her. She recoiled a little, but when I placed my hand over hers, she seemed a little relaxed before taking her hand out.
'Arohi?' I asked, not very certain how to start the conversation.
'I'm sorry, I didn't come to know and... ' I stopped her by placing my hands around her face and wiping of the tears.
'Arohi, I know this is quite a shock, but I'm angry at you.' She looked at me and sighed, I continued. 'Not because you produced fast, honestly because you didn't take care of yourself. This month has been difficult for both of us, but I'm angry because you neglected a living being inside you. Yet, it always isn't too late.' I smiled as she did too.
'Do you want the baby, Arjun?' Her question surprised me, I wasn't planning on telling her, but now I didn't have a choice.
'Yes.' I whispered as she again looked up.
'Why?' She whispered and I knew, this was now or never.
'Same reason why you want it.... After Natasha, I've never looked at another girl, but you've become a hope for me, a second chance. And this second chance is my last chance. I know we can work this out and maybe, get married in a few months time, but this is very fast for us being in these circumstances. You know what?'
'What?'
'Yesterday, when I slept beside you, I felt that I was content like that and believe me, I have already began loving this unborn child.' I gently placed my hand on her flat stomach and she placed hers on mine.
'Do you really mean it?' I looked at her, trying to find a way to assure her. I got close to her and I kissed her forehead, slightly leaving my lips there more than necessary.
'Yes.' She looked down.
'Now, get your tests done and we'll get you some clothes.' She looked up, apparently angry.
'And why do I need clothes?' Sounding outrageous, she asked me.
'Well, you need a few stretch jeans as you'll be putting on weight and some cute balloon tops. I think they'll suit you.' She made the expression of thinking something and then nodded followed by laughing on my information, I had surfed Internet this morning and found this little bit of information. Apparently, most womens, when pregnant, thought they were getting fat so I was already getting ready for it and for an extra help, some loose clothes could really help.
After a while, Dr. Masen finished with Arohi's report and handed it to me.
'So, Mr. Arjun. You've got to make sure she doesn't cry.' I chuckled and looked at Arohi who was embarrassed.
'Arohi, you've got a diet to follow ;written in the report, don't panic if you feel fat.' She paused. 'Arjun, make her eat whatever she craves for and...' She stopped as if trying to remember something and relaxed a little which I thought seemed that she had remembered the little bit of information. ' you can have s*x' This surprised me and taking the fact that married people used to come here and ask this so I stood up and thanked her. Arohi had also taken it just as me, she too thanked her and we both left the doctor's.
'Let's go shopping now, anywhere you'd like?' I asked as I we walked to the station.
'There's this mall on the next stop, we could go there?' That's what we exactly did.
After an hour or more, we finished shopping. Arohi was practically trying to buy limited clothes, but I bought everything which looked good on her. She was angry with me now and wasn't talking to me from the last 10 minutes or so.
'Come on Arohi. I'm sorry, but I'm not returning the clothes.' I pleaded to her. She looked at me and nodded. I continued. 'Let's eat something in town, I'm not in a mood to go home.' She looked at me and understood the meaning, I sighed. I did want to go home, but I didn't want to see them.
'Maybe, you should inform your parents about it.' I nodded and flipped my cell. A quick dial and I was talking to Salil. 'Salil?'...' Tell Mom, Me and Arohi are eating out, we'll come around 2 or 3.'....'Is everything alright?'.... 'Sure, See ya later.' There was something wrong, Salil talked in a serious yet trying not to laugh tone. I turned to look at Arohi, she was staring at me. 'What?'
'Nothing, trying to study you.' She said.
'Enough of that, Let's eat somewhere here, take the train to the car and head back home. How does it sound?'
'Great.'
'Good.' I smiled as she returned it.
We soon found a chinese restaurant. Silence came while eating, but I enjoyed it. First time I was comfortable with the silence, there was an aura hanging around. As I took in my last bite, I looked at Arohi, she had finished. We left the restaurant and with the next train took the car and drove back to home.
I parked in my place and quietly took the bags from backseat. Quietly because everyone would be sleeping except the younger ones, they would be reading or doing something not so noisy enough to wake up the elders. As I entered home with Arohi, I was surprised that Mom and Dad were awake, apparently tensed about something. There was some noise coming out from both mine and Arohi's room. Now, this was something very weird, there really was something wrong.
Suddenly, Mom saw us and came up to us.
'Let's go to your room.' My Mom, whispering? She never did that.
'But why?' I was confused than ever and I thought Arohi would be thinking our family had lost it.
'Not here, come on.'
Once inside my room, I looked over my surroundings. Something had changed, but before I could point it, I heard voices and I saw my whole family there. Some sitting on the bed, other on my study chair and others just leaning on the wall.
'Can someone tell me what is happening here?' I demanded.
'Arjun, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to and Paddy was looking at me with a piercing gaze that it just came to my mind and I said it.' Wait, Mom didn't say one thing.
'Mohan and Paddy are back to fix amends or shall I say, bring you and Natasha back together. So when they saw you with Arohi this morning, they got sort of confused and demanded an explanation. We couldn't say how you met Arohi in that condition so we made up something.' He looked guilty.
'And guess what Mom and Dad told them?' Salil said with a wide grin spread across his face. Nikhil and Aman also supported the same face, it made them look identical.
'What?' I looked at Arohi as she whispered, actually she told what I was thinking. I looked back at Salil. Apparently, he thought that standing there couldn't be enough to open the thing up so he came up to us and held mine and Arohi's hand.
