Thank you all for your patience... i hope the update is worth it!
Part 27
"Pack your clothes!!!"
Arohi watched Arjun, as he was pacing the bedroom from one end to the other, picking his clothes from the cupboard and dumping them in an overnight bag. Arohi sat on the bed, looking at him in confusion.
"Hum kahi jarahe hain Arjun?"
"Haan!"
"Kahan???"
"Cottage... Get up and pack your bag!"
Arjun had never felt so frustrated in his life. It had been less than 24 hours that Arohi had entered his house and he had not had her to himself for even 24 mins at a stretch! They had been completely lost in each other in the kitchen before the horrible scream made their hearts lurch out of their chests. Luckily Arjun had the presence of mind to pull Arohi to the pantry closet nearby and saved them from getting caught. But that had been the last straw of his patience. He had finally concluded that there was no other place than his cottage which would give them the privacy they wanted.
"Kyun???" Arohis question made him stop and stare at her. Why was she acting so dumb??
"Kyun matlab? Kyuki im tired of people interrupting us all the time!" Arohi looked down in embarassment. She had been shocked to know that her bua was outside the kitchen while she and Arjun were busy being indecent! Luckily they had been able to hide in the closet when Bua and dadi had walked in to check the "noise" in the kitchen. She could literally hear Arjun murmuring profanities and abusing his kismet under his breath. She had giggled then, but one look at his thunderous face had made her serious.
"Arjun... I can understand tum gussa ho. Lekin usske liye cottage jaane ki jarurat nahi hai. Aaj first day tha issliye. And we did spend time together so..." Arjuns glare stopped her.
"Achha! Kab kiya humne time spend? Kya hua jab we were together in the morning???"
"Raj aagaya." Arohi spoke in a low voice.
"And when we wanted to be alone after breakfast???"
"Dadi called us."
"And when we wanted to go for an evening walk?"
"Rashi joined us." Arohi looked down. Her eyes slowly lifted to his with guilt of a child who had stolen a cookie.
"And finally when we were fooling around in the kitchen???"
"Lovedeep and dadi found us!"
"And iss sab ke bavajood, jab afternoon mein ek ghanta hum room mein akele they tab...?"
"Mein so gayi." Arohi spoke guiltily. Ok... It did sound bad! But honestly she had enjoyed the attempts that Arjun made, to get her alone and romance her. She had laughed secretly and felt loved and wanted. Plus she found him immensely cute when he looked flustered and helpless. A smile crept on her face remembering his numerous scowls at his failed attempts. She immediately caught her expressions lest Arjun bursts like an atom bomb if he found her smiling at the situation.
"Agar tumhe baaki sab ke saath hi time spend karna tha toh mein office chala jaata! Mein chutti leke ghar pe isliye nai baitha tha taaki tumhe chain se sote huey dekh saku!!!" Arjuns scowl was increasing by the minute.
"Lekin hum ghar pe kya kahenge?"
"Kisiko kuch kehne ki jarurat nahi hai! Hum sabke sone ke baad jaayenge." Arohi quietly got up and started selecting her clothes.

Lovedeep scrunched her eyes again. The naughty images of arjun and arohi refused to stop dancing even if front of her closed eyes. Frustrated, she opened her eyes and stuffed the dal-rice in her mouth. Too many emotions had plagued her senses today. Her efforts in trying to bring her mind back to her food had failed. She did not want to mull over her feelings, she had gotten used to suppressing them for a long time now. But today, her thoughts refused to leave her alone.
When she had felt the hand land on her shoulder, she had screamed her guts out! She had felt like a character in some horror film, who encounters a ghost. She had almost got a mini heart attack!!! Dadi had given her the most 'are-you-out-of-your-mind' look. The next few minutes that passed were the most confusing minutes of her life. She had never been so tongue tied when dadi asked her why did she scream and what was she doing there. Dadi had got tired of waiting for Love to respond... or change her expression. So she had barged inside the kitchen to check herself. Lovedeep had never felt so lost when they found the kitchen empty. Finally dadi had dragged her out to talk with her in the livingroom. And lovedeep had never felt so disoriented to all the happenings in the past couple of minutes, so she left Singhania mansion in a hurry.
Smiling to herself and shaking her head, she continued eating her dinner. She had always known that Arjun and Arohi were strong and their love was amazingly deep. But the passion that they had witnessed in their house, when Arjun was staying with them, was not even one-tenth to what they had displayed tonight. Luckily everyone had eaten and retired to their rooms before she came home. So noone had witnessed her ghostly pale face or the shock that refused to leave her eyes.
She looked up as she heard the front door open and Rajveer walk in. He motioned with his hand for her to sit down and continue, as she made to stand up to serve him dinner. Rajveer planted himself across her on the dining table as Lovedeep continued to eat. Rajveer looked a lot more relaxed right now than he did in the morning. The anxiety and worry that he had for Arohi was erased somehow. Lovedeep smiled seeing him like this. She had always wanted him to find peace of his own, just like her.
Rajveer smiled at Lovedeep as she ate away, busy with her dinner. He had not been able to eat anything throughout the day, and yet he was not hungry. The coffee with Rashi, had filled his stomach with a lot more than he had met her for. The entire day he had been staring at his hand whenever he got the chance. The same hand where Rashi had kept her palm on. Rajveers smile widened, oblivious to his sisters gaze scrutinising him.
Lovedeep was confused seeing her brother smile at nothing in particular. He also had a weird look on his face, something that she could not put a finger on. Debating whether to question him or not, she picked the latter and concentrated on her food. These two brother sister continued to enjoy each others silent company, both lost in their own thoughts.

Arjun had been restless the entire way and a little bit annoyed too. Arohi had seemed skeptical to leave the house and come to the cottage. Now that she was back with Arjun, his love and his attention was overwhelming her. For the past couple of weeks, she had been used to being alert, plan ahead and keep herself busy with work. Suddenly, when she had nothing to do, except be with Arjun, she started feeling that she is neglecting everything else. She knew that the entire planning and working had been towards this same goal, and find out the truth, but still she could not understand why she felt so reluctant.
Arohi pushed open the door and walked in. She turned towards the wall to switch on the lights when she was turned around and pinned to it.
Arjun looked into her bewildered eyes, which looked all the more black in the darkness. "Arohi... Are you scared of me?"
"Nahi... bilkul nahi!"
"Toh fir kya problem hai? Why this hesitation to be alone with me???"
"Pata nahi. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aaraha hai! Aise lagta hai ki shayad mein kuch miss karrahi hu... Ki hum apneaap mein, apne pyaar mein bohat khush ho rahe hain lekin kuch hain jisse ignore karrahe hain."
"Is it Raj? Are you feeling guilty leaving him alone at home and coming here???"
"Nahi. Its not Raj. Kuch aur hai."
Looking at her for a moment, Arjun left her and switched on the lights. He got their bags inside and went to the bedroom to keep them. Arohi lit the fire in the fireplace and Arjun returned to pour a drink for himself. Looking at a lost Arohi, he poured a small vodka for her with lemonade and headed towards the sofa, where Arohi was sitting, staring at the coffee table.
"Ye lo. This will help you relax." Handing the glass to her, he leaned behind and raised his glass in cheers.
Arohi clinked her glass to his and sipped slowly. Liking the drink, she took a bigger sip and smiled looking at the glass.
"Kya hai issme?"
"Zeher!" came Arjuns instant reply.
Arohi turned to look at Arjun who was chuckling. Arohi smiled. Seeing Arjun at ease relaxed her a bit too. Leaning behind like him, she pulled her feet on the sofa.
"Arjun... Sorry... And thanks!"
Arjun raised his eyebrows in question.
"Sorry for my behaviour. And thanks mujhe yaha laane ke liye. I guess yaha aana was a good move. We needed to talk and just be together... alone."
Arjun nodded his head and continued sipping his drink. They sat in silence for a few moments when Arjun kept his empty glass and suddenly got up.
"Kya hua?" Arohi looked at him in question.
"I just remembered. Uss raat jab tum aayi thi, tab maine cameras lagaye they. I need to erase the recording for that night. Warna kabhi future mein kisine dekh liya toh they will see you jumping around the compound wall." Arohis mouth opened in an 'O' and she ran behind him to the kitchen, where the monitor and hub for the cameras was installed.
Arjun played the recordings of that night. They had a huge laugh watching Arohi land on her bum, which earned Arjun a smack on his shoulder. And the way she cautiously entered the cottage without getting noticed by the lone security guard. Thankfully, Arjun had not installed cameras inside the cottage, or else they could've seen, what could only be termed as, a 's** tape'. As Arjun made to delete the recording, Arohi held his hand. The screen was showing Arjun and Arohi coming out of the cottage at dawn, Arjuns hand around Arohis waist and she was hugging him sideways. As they sneaked to the rear area of the property, a shadow lurked behind watching the two love birds lost in each other.
Arjun and Arohi looked at each other. Arjun rewinded the full tape again to check every small detail from the start.

"NO... I cant invite you to the party! How many times do I have to tell you??!!" Mikhail barked at his phone, irritated at the incessant stubborness from the other end.
"Try and understand. Now is not the right time! And this is not my party. Dad has arranged it."
"Yes I know... But... " Exasperated Mikhail pressed his temple with his fingers and shut his eyes. He did not like people who argued with him. But this one person was an exception.
"Trust me. There is nothing to get so hyper about. I know her very well. Nothing of this sort is going to happen!"
"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAW! Why don't you trust me???"
"Ok fine. Let me try asking dad... but im not promising anything, ok?"
"Yes... Yes! Ok. I will check on that too. Fine. Bye now."
Hanging up, Mikhail threw the phone on his bed. He did not like being answerable to anyone, except his dad. And that too will end someday soon, when his father will handover the business to him and not Arjun. But right now he had to focus on the job that he had to carry out. Or else 'this' person will make his life a living hell!!!

"Tumhe kya lagta hai???" Arohi questioned Arjun as he rewinded the recording for the third time to see it again carefully.
"Pata nahi. Koi bhi hosakta hai. But looks like a woman to me."
"Natasha hosakti hai!" Arohi grabbed Arjuns shoulder. Arjun was scratching his chin, watching with concentration.
"She looks a bit short to be Natasha." Returning back to the screen, Arjun finished watching it for the 4th time. "I don't think we've missed anything now. Lets delete it."
"EK kaam karo. Usse ek CD mein record karlo, aur fir delete karo."
Agreeing with her, Arjun proceeded to record the clipping and delete the footage.
Arohi carried the CD to the living room. Her eyes flew up as he grabbed the disk from her hand and threw it on the coffee table. Grabbing Arohi around the waist, he pulled her to him.
"Ab toh humne thoda kaam bhi karliya. Jo kuch miss karrahi thi ussme se ek cheez bhi humne catch karli. So now... can we get back to... kahan they hum???" Arjun looked up as if trying to remember.
Arohi smiled seeing him. She stood on tip toes and brought her lips at level to his. Arjun looked down at her, her lips were just a whisper away. But he did not lean ahead, instead he waited for her to make the first move now.
"Hummm... YAHAN THEY!!!" In a split second, Arohi smeared the hidden chocolate in her hands on his cheek, pushed him back and ran upstairs to the bedroom.
Arjun stood looking at her. He touched his fingers to his cheek to check out the melted chocolate and looked at them. He smiled. A crooked one. And devilish too!
"You. Are. So. Dead. Arohi!" Arjun whispered to himself and strode towards the stairs for his bedroom.
OK... because many of you wanted a continuation of the chocolate fight, i've included it as an after thought thus pushing the arjuhi romance to the next update 🤣 but this one has a couple of hints too! so enjoy 😳
