Some of you might like it some of you might not but I had to write this...I had a lovely recollection of some moments from KMH 2 as I was writing it...hopefully you guys will relive some moments as well...

Chapter 25

"Arohi, it is only 6 o clock and Arjun hasn't even come back from his meeting" Gloria Aunty chuckled like a little girl looking at Arohi's desperation. Since their conversation at the terrace Arohi had chatted non stop about Arjun, gathering every single information about him. So much in love yet so far apar! the elderly lady sighed. Three years back when Arjun had introduced Arohi to her she had her inhibitions about their relationship. She was too young to understand the intensity of his love but now her love for him shines through her eyes. She was the mother of his child. She was right!!! They belonged to each other. Although Arjun had never mentioned to her the reason behind Arohi's breaking the engagement but she always had her doubts about Gauri playing any part. So today without even Arohi realising it she had managed to show her the true picture. The way she had latched on to it clearly showed that like her she must have overheard their conversation that evening but only she had left too early without giving any chance to Arjun. But most probably Arohi needed this maturity to handle a man like Arjun Singhania. She has helped them by drawing the curtain from certain incident of the past but now they will have to complete the rest of the journey as a couple. It will not be an easy ride but she was confident that Arohi will definitely win over her man.

Arohi sighed a breath of relief not to find Arjun already there as she entered the study. She had been desperately waiting for this moment for the past few hours but she almost felt breathless in anticipation. Finally the time has come for her to proclaim her love to him….to her very own prince charming that she had loved since the day she had known the meaning of love. A deep blush touched her beautiful face as Gloria Aunty's "grab him with both hands, encircle him with your undying love" echoed in her mind. Three walls of floor to ceiling bookshelves and a mahogany desk dominated the space, but she could see a collection of photo-frames on the side board, which drew her like a magnet. Amidst loads of photos her attention got attracted to a particular one. It was a photo taken on their engagement day. She picked the photo up and gazed at it lovingly. Her heart gave a little skip as she saw Arjun with his arms wrapped around her from behind, and she in turn looking up at his handsome face, both smiling happily. A sense of pride engulfed her as she looked at his handsome face. He was hers after all to love, to cherish. She had been a fool to overlook his love for her but no more. She would tell him tonight how much she loved him. Her whole body shuddered with yearning at the thought of finishing their unfinished bathroom romance. Arjun is the only man who can melt all her inhibition down with a single touch…..he only had to touch her and her desire would turn into a blazing heat wave.

The door of the study suddenly opened and Arohi dropped the frame, the glass shattering on the stone floor. Even without looking she could sense his presence. She stood frozen for a second as he stepped in the study. The moment has come for her to face him.

"Don't touch it" he commanded and she bend down on her knees trying to gather the broken pieces." You might cut yourself"

Arohi hissed as she looked at the blood in her finger before looking at his gaze "I was just not concentrating"

Bending down beside her his hazel eyes didn't waver as they held hers ' your finger is bleeding….let me check"

He picked up her finger and held it against his mouth, his lips feathering against it " I dn't think there is any first aid box here……..I will have to do the natural way"

Arohi uncurled her fingers as it traced the outlines of his lips, shuddering with pleasure as the thought of those lips on her body, kissing her, caressing her flashed through her mind. She gasped as he drew her fingertip into his mouth and sucked on it gently and then gradually increased the pressure. It was the most sensible yet the most sensual thing to do, blatantly sexual, especially when his eyes captured her and glinted at her meaningfully, raw desire simmering though them. His freshly showered body smelt of something essentially male, essentially him. She inhaled sharply as his tongue kept on creating magic on her finger, sucking vigorously and his teeth gently nibbling into her skin to stop the bleeding. She had no idea that such an innocent act can drive her this wild with desire. His whole presence flared up her senses to an extent as if an intoxicating spell has been cast on her. She just couldn't take her eyes off his handsome face.

Unable to bear the increasing sexual tension any more she pulled her finger out of his hold " Thanks…..I am fine…I was looking at our engagement photo….you have still kept it"

"Yes I have ...and does it really surprise you?" he looked at her knowingly.

She bit her lower lip, glancing at the shattered glass on the floor. Was it symbolic in any way? They always say breaking of glass was ominous. A shard of glass was lying across their smiling faces on the photo, almost cutting them into two. She brought her gaze back to his "N-No….It was just that I couldn't remember at what point exactly was this photo taken"

He bent down and carefully removed the remaining pieces of glass from the photo frame, before putting it back on the desk. " It was taken by dad. You know one of those careless moment when one is not actually looking at the camera but the focus is on….but going by the expression I think it was just after the engagement……" he just couldn't hold a sigh. "Another evidence of my disillusion persuit ….…no wonder you are surprised!!

Arohi very carefully avoided the dig. She had come to steal his heart not enter into an argument. She knew by not trusting him she had hurt him a lot and she would do anything to win him back. But for that, she needed to think properly but his presence was triggering all sorts of things in her body, let alone her brain. His hazel eyes looked at her with emotions, she couldn't read. Although he was standing too close, but it seemed his mind was somewhere else. But her heart skipped a bit in anticipation of that sensuous mouth coming on hers. All of a sudden she realised how much she wanted him to explore each and every inch of her body. It has been a long time since they have made love and with every passing minutes her body was craving of the intimate act. She chided herself for being so amorous. To steer the conversation away she asked " How was your meeting?"

"The meeting…..it was fine" he answered softly. " Actually it was one of the reason I wanted to have a word with you"

"Go on…." she urged him.

He took the photo frame back in his hand again and put it back. "I 've been thinking"

She waited for him to continue as tension zapped through her "about what?" He looked remote and somewhat alien, standing across from her. Panic rising through her as the first ominous though came to her mind. Recalling his note she remembered that he wanted to talk to her about the wedding. Was he about to tell her that he had changed his mind about getting married to her? She had been dreading that.

He hesitated only for an instant and continued " I know I have pushed you into agreeing to marry me but this is the best thing we can do for Aayan as parents. But….."

She literally had to control herself from throwing herself in his arms. But his "But" drew her attention as he continued " But I don't think this is fair on you. You deserve all the happiness in life as well. So I have come to the decision that you will get married and once the media hype dies down we will get a divorce. Aayan can be with you and I can have visiting rights. You can later on have a real marriage for love"

Arohi just couldn't believe what she was hearing. Arjun who had always wanted Aayan to have a happy family was talking about divorce even before they are married. Had she been right all along in judging him then. He was indeed getting tired of playing daddy and was already planning an exit. "Act mature Arohi" a little birdie put a reign on her over hyped thinking. No she was not going to just fall into the traps of words any more. Arjun could never want to leave his own child and be happy with visiting rights. There must be a deeper reason behind all this. She tried to read the expression in his eyes, and suddenly his words clicked back. He had been thinking about her happiness. He was doing all this so that she can have a real marriage. Oh My God!!! Gloria Aunty was so right. How could she have been such a fool to overlook his love for this long.

"What if I don't want to leave…...what If I want to spend the rest of my life with Aayan's father" she asked quietly, hope lurking in her voice.

" And why exactly would that be…….I thought you can't wait to get away from me" his voice was equally soft.

"Because I love you…. Arjun" She hugged him tight trying to transfer all her warmth and love to him. " I love you, love you, love you….I want to be with you forever…..only you Arjun…nobody else"

"Oh really…..so Miss Arohi Sharma is in the mood of playing "love you" game today……what happened to your "hate you" venture …got tired of it already" he drawled in mockingly moving away from her.

"Arjun ……please stop it…..listen to me…I had a word with Gloria Aunty and I know everything….."

"Oh now I see ……you almost got me…..so you know the truth now…..the same truth that I have been trying to tell you for days….but no.it wasn't good enough when it came from me but now that it has come from Gloria Aunty you believe every word of it….what if she is lying….she is my aunty after all" Arjun's cold furious tone made Arohi shiver. It was going to be a long night!!

"Arjun…. I am sorry that I didn't believe you but I was scared…but I don't care any more….it is only you who matters to me…..I love you"

"What love you are talking about Arohi…….the love that had forced you to leave me on my own labelling me as the bad boy or the love that has compelled you to come back to me after knowing that I wasn't the bad boy after all…… " Arjun voice quivered with raw emotion.

"Trust me Arjun….I really love you…..It has always been you"

"Trust your love…...How can I trust something that was never there….. Arohi you have never loved me……it was an infatuation three years back and it still is…… Please don't say that you love me because I won't be able to bear the burden of your trustless love any more………you have no idea what love means ……it has always been a game for you…..it was and it still is"

"Please give me a chance to prove my love" she desperately tried to reason with him.

"You are getting it all wrong again Arohi……there is nothing I can do about it….there is nothing for you to prove…..I have tried all my life to make you love me but I forgot that love can't be made to happen…..if you had loved me you wouldn't have left me in the first place…instead of making up all excuses you would have fought for your love…for our love….you would have looked me in the eyes and demanded for an explanation………please don't complicate things again…..it is best that we just keep this relationship as amicable as possible for Aayan's sake"

"Just for Aayan…..What about us Arjun….." her pleading eyes tried to hang on to every single emotion she could infuse in him.

"There is no us Arohi….not any more…..there was a time I used to hope against hope that you will come back to me ….you will understand my love …we will have a happily ever after together….but I have given up dreaming Arohi…..

" I am here Arjun….." Arohi moved closer, cupping his face gently she added "I have come back to you'

"Yes you are back but not because you love me…...because you feel sorry for me ……Gloria aunty must have told you all about my foolish antiques, my miserable state after you have left me…..I dont want your pity Arohi"

" It isn't like that Arjun……you are not being fair"

" I am not being fair Arohi…..where was your love when I professed my love to you at Chittor, where was your love when you hired private detective behind me, where was your love when I kept on urging you to trust me for once and chose to believe everyone other than me…..…..all of a sudden everything changed the moment Gloria Aunty cleared all the misunderstanding…..I might be big fool but even I have this much of knowledge" Then changing his furious tone to almost a whisper he said " believe me it is not love ….."

"Okay my love was all infatuation but what about your love that you keep on boasting about……. why didn't you fight for your love ……why didn't you come to get me back….why did you let me go Arjun?" angry hot tears started to gather up in her eyes. She never thought Arjun would be this difficult.

"What would I have done Arohi…….you had blocked all my ways…..you had clearly told me how you felt about us….. but still I did …I went to Mumbai like a fool after you but you were not there…."

"When???"

" Exactly three months after you broke the engagement……I tried so hard to forget you….tried so hard to remove all your memories from my mind and heart but just couldn't….because to do so I had to stop breathing…..there was nothing in my life without you Arohi….every moment was living hell for me without you…..so I did come to Mumbai but you were gone…and no body knew where you were" Arjun closed his eyes in pain remembering the moments when he has looked for Arohi like a mad man.

" I was in Shimla….I was pregnant with your child Arjun….there was no one there for me….I was only eighteen afraid and alone….and when Natasha told me…."

" There we go….don't make it sound like it was all my fault Arohi….instead of looking for me you believed Natasha….I know I was hiding from everyone that time but if you really wanted Arohi I am sure you could have found out means to contact me…..I told you that night not to rush things but you were the one who wanted to….you know what??? Even I sincerely wish now I have never met you in my life…."

"Arjun…how could you say…..

"It hurts…doesn't it Arohi….it freaking bl**dy hurts…." He stepped forwards grabbing her trembling body " only that in all your accusations you had forgotten I have a heart that beats too….I am a human being with all the emotions as well…. ……I am not a puppet that you can pull the string according to your mood swings…..if you had loved me you couldn't have regretted every moment of our togetherness….if you had loved me you couldn't have branded our first night as the biggest mistake of your life…...the night that has given our bundle of joy ."

" I know Arjun…. ..even you know that I didn't mean to say that….I love Aayan …I am ever so sorry for that…please Arjun….."

"Sorry Arohi…it is already too late……even if I want to I can't trust your so-called love…..lets not argue over this anymore….lets get married as planned and I will release you from all bonds as soon as things settles down….believe me I won't let you regret anything this time……" his bleak voice echoed through the thick walls of the study.

As he was about to leave Arohi pulled him closer to her and said out loud, determination simmering in her eyes "If this is your last word on the matter then listen to mine as well Mr Arjun Singhania….. It is never too late for love …..I won't back out this time…..…..I will fight for my love…..I will marry you for real and we will have a happily ever after with loads of company for Aayan….and this is my promise to you…..I will show you how much I love you….and this time you will come back to me begging for my love….…..I openly challenge you if you can then prove my love, my passion, my faith wrong…..I love you too much to let you go" Sealing her promise with a soft tender kiss on his lips, she closed the door firmly leaving an absolute bewildered Arjun…..
