Part 5
There he was in front of her. His eyes somewhat darker, which no ink would provide me. But after 3 years today I felt the zest of his grain again. She slipped her engagement ring of her finger.
She walked towards him, leaving her bag behind. "Hi" Arjun said with an element of surprise bounded to his tone of voice. Arohi's eyes reflect a moment clear of isolation as if her essence began to rise. She placed her hand on his turquoise coloured shirt. She clenched firmly as she hid herself into his shirt she closed herself within his arms. As tears began to fall from her emptiness, Arjun stood there not allowing his arms to wrap her up softly into him as if he had inhaled the frost around him. "Why did you lie." She asked him several times, she let go of his grasp. In his stern voice he asked her, "lie about what?" she peered straight at him. "About loving me." She gasped through.
"Arjun don't lie" he turned around so he was no longer facing her."Arohi go home, there is nothing to say." He said it so easily if there was nothing to explain, whereas Arohi stood there trying hard not to be cut down. "What about these pages, they have got a lot to say. look at what it say under the date 9/11/1996." She placed his black dairy on the table facing him, looking up at him "Arjun how am supposed to find you when you always keep hiding from yourself." Arjun began to shake his head taking light steps towards her," yes these pages do have a lot to say. But Arohi me and you we've been twisting in a place that's too small, we're friends and that's how it's going to remain." He spoke as he started to draw the line and her skin began to break evenly.
"Why do always keep closing me in, even after 3 years?"She questioned him as he watched her in a faded sense." I always tried to hide the bruises but I somehow conceal them. Just forget me it's the better thing to do, we have to stop predenting." He said it with ease without showing the instability from within. "What are you scared of Arjun, the world and people!" he did not answer. "If I tell the world about you, I could never say enough Arjun."she said in a firm tone as she built her self up. "Stop! Stop it!" he said repeatedly as he Tried to cut the conversation between them.
He was about to leave the room when Arohi whispered," Am getting married." His hand held the wooden door in a still position, as his feelings began to separate. She explained to him all the events that took place..."by the time a found out I was already engaged to Aman." There was a subtle silent before on of them spoke. "Is everyone at your home happy?" Arjun asked her as he leaned on the hallow wall behind him. She nodded to signal yes. "Would that same amount of happiness reflect from your family if you got married to me?" Arohi's eyes began to trail down towards the ground." I think you know the answer to that." She answered. Arjun softly placed his hands on her shoulder," me and you being together is not enough, we need our families with us." She slid into his hazel eyes as he spoke. Both of them did not utter a word for a long duration. Arohi fell back on to the sofa, "you are coming to my wedding?" she said in a broken tone. "Yeah" he replied.
(Next day at the train station)
The train station was shrouded with huge amounts of people and in the middle of them were Arjun and Arohi. The metal tracks glittered in the sunlight as they lead off into different directions. Over the rails there hung a steel bridge. Arjun handed her ticket, as the train blared from behind. "I guess this is it." Arohi said with a vague smile. He walked her to train door, not giving each a piece of sympathy to each, competing with the lines which no wise words could change. The train began to move, they hands parted the same way as they did 3 years ago, they started to grow apart not getting the chance to recoil again.
(Couple of days later)
The wedding celebrations had started in both houses as sounds of joy echoed. A white car came to a halt outside Arohi's home. Arjun stepped out and stared the lavishly decorated house, it was an imposing structure. He walked towards the entrance of the house, before he could reach the handle to open the door, in front of him was Arohi. Her absence did make a gap, "hi" Arjun said as he stood on the doorstep."Arohi!" someone shouted from inside, she turned her head around and saw Aman coming towards her.
"Who is this? If you don't mind me asking" Aman asked Arohi."Hey, i'm Arjun and you must be Aman." He guessed." So your Squadron Leader Arjun, touch the sky with glory." Aman questioned. "yes." Aman put his hand forward, "well nice to meet you." Aman said as they both shook hands...

Part 5:
Arohi as expected breaksdown and questions him why he lied and as I expected he refuses to let his guard down. He said it ...straight to her...they will remain friends? Well well let's see how well that works out lol the line has been drawn but lets see how long before he crosses it :P
Arohi determined to get her answers...but love her questions..he is speechless ...well response-less lol no words to explain because he knows shes right! He's scared of world, people, in away the society i would assume in terms of religious views and cultural norms.. I really love his value for family and their acceptance of the relationship first before he moves forward...he will go to the wedding? Let's see how he will watch her get married to someonelse...it will break him...i'm sure ...if there is that much love it'll be painful to watch ...
Separating again...same like 3yrs before...train will take her back to a destination that she is unsure of ...not fond of...
Aman seems chill lol ...and Arjun is putting on such a strong surface...i am waiting for it to crack ..
Great update...and it was short :( but very well written...continue soon :)
😠he knows she's getting married!!! ... Glad she didnt break down, and happy he told he loved her and exaplined his reason in a way of why he did what he did!
