So needed something to do on my bus rides to and from uni...so here I am lol
Well for starters..concept seems great.I love stories about family/childhood friends and their love...lol..and you'll be going through the changes and I guess hurdles they will go through for the relationship. Also tackling issues of religion's role in their relationship...hmm sure has my interest. Note: I did not watch KMH..either season ...so am quite unfamiliar with the original story ...so I will be reading with no knowledge of any characters ..
So Arohi 2nd, studying to be a doctor and is in UK where as Arjun will be in army air force...am liking this already :P chal, let me get started with chapters :)
Chapter 1
- Wow what a start, with Arjun's Diary :) *applaud* I must say that was very beautifully written. Really got the feel of what he was going through, you could sense the longing yet there was something stopping him, some road block...liked the fact that he reflected on his childhood memories...which am sure he will cherish forever...and his words came out very well to set the stage...so thumbs up from me there :D
- So Arjun is speechless, breathless upon catching sight of Arohi ...and dear Arohi is in similar boat...also feeling the effect of his presence...and wanting to tell him before she leaves the next day..ok so Veer used to have snot running out of his nose in school ROFL...how embarrassing... so I actually liked the fact that Arjun picked up on 'something' bothering Arohi and went over :) the little details make the difference...but then come the moment, where arohi tells him what she felt for him...she loved him and dumbo says "i love you...but only as a friend" ouch ! ...what it would be like for her to hear that :S ...and am sure there is a reason he must've said that...i sure hope so...but poor Arohi ...
-Overall very beautifully written chapter...am very interested in continuing...you have me hooked already :P imma read all in one go ...
ok so onto next chapter now :)
Chapter 2
-woah ...wow you've described her feelings so well...I can just picture it ...poor girl has broken down...asked no questions...it's as if the moment she expected to be the best in her life turned out to be exact opposite to that ...and her plastering on a smile for all...all the pain in her heart but continues to mask it all with her smile...
-so Arjun's diary...he explains his feelings...of course again Ruky...beautifully written...highlight a line 'i went and left empty handed' that did it...explained all that needed to be for me...and then as I've guessed...family..religion..reason for rejecting...mostly I love that he did it for her...to keep her from being in a situation to have to chose between two...Ruky ...i love that there is a certain rhythmic flow to the way your words come out...they all connect well ...
-you know i always found it interesting how accepting others (out of religion/caste whatever) as a friend comes easy in cases...but to look at them as family...is like :O ...i've seen that in many movies as well..and always thought it to be such an odd concept..its like the friendship stops at the certain level...when I think it shouldn't there should be no limits...but hmm just my thought on the topic...
-oh yeah and the forgotten diary am sure will come back...
Chapter 3:
-oww Arohi ...broken illusion...wow do u have a way with words...lol ...i am loving it...loved the impact of that specifically...so true wen u see something a certain way for so long and believe in it..and then all goes kaput ...down the drain...you can't look at it the same way after...and her goodbyes...and him standing off to the side...both acting strong and fine...hmm and then the pendant...the story was cute...him getting it for her...and now she has returned it to him ...for reasons that shall surface eventually :P and of course time is of essence..she must leave now...
-3 years later... oh she is engaged to Aman...hmm and she finds the diary and reads it...well of course she deciphers the words of the man that made her heart beat :P and realizes he had hidden his feelings...so here we go..three years and she gets Aman in the picture..and here comes the memories of those embers...now this is surely getting interesting...
Chapter 4
- Arohi thinking over her decision to marry Aman...aww he sent her flowers..with a card...lol u know i like that quote u used there "Somewhere there's someone who dreams of your smile and finds in your presence that life is worthwhile." is one of my favs :P anyway yeah so sisters talking about breaking the rishta won't be easy and this will not go down well with the family...as expected ...
-so she's heard nothing from Arjun in past three years...but knows he's somewhere in Hyderabad...and of course, tells her parents she's of to mumbai, but really is off to where he is...
-aww Arohi there...in his house...hmm looking at his pic..damn good pic i must say from the sounds of it...all in military hat & uniform...she is so proud...
- So his sis Zara and Arohi catch up and hmm she breaks her promise and tells Arohi of Arjun's whereabouts ...
- wow i love the pace of things...so now she's in haryana...and both there in the same room...oh and the engagement ring is off her finger...hmm...am waiting to see what comes of this...
And the Promo....seems good ...would like him to confess but at the same time, if he stayed this strong for this long...I can't see him go weak in the moment...but will wait and see
great FF Ruky👏...very very very well written👍🏼...you have great talent⭐️...I really enjoyed it...really kept me busy for my ride home...I looked up from my phone and realized I needed to get off soon LOL...am waiting for the next update...if you could, please pm me...and thanks for telling me about this FF :D
