Arohi woke up and got changed into a pair of skinny Jean and blue t-shirt. As soon as she finished getting dressed she made her way downstairs to the dinning area. All of her family was sitting down, so she joined them."Arohi it's 10:30, I told you to be ready for 10." Her sister talked over her head.she took a bite of her toast"oh, sorry i was really tried." her brother jai singgred,"more like it you're lazy and you smell weird." Arohi picked up the newspaper which was placed on the table and slapped it on her brothers arm,"talk about yourself, I don't smell it's perfume.guess you never wear any." jai rubbed is arm,"yep, because I don't smell." he said sarcastically."Shut up! Do you have to be irritating especially in the morning." she cuffed at her younger brother." bas! Stop fighting both of you." they mother told them off. "Well she started it." jai whined.
Arohi finished eating, So She got up from her chair and made made her way outside but got stopped by DJ,"arohi,I've made you parathe with the taste of pure gee." arohi smiled,"sorry DJ, Sara waiting outside for me in the car. I promise when I return I"ll eat them." she kissed her grandma and ran outside towards the car. "sorry, please don't explode." arohi said as she got into the car." anyway where we goin?" she rasied." were going to the flourist, to sort out the flower selection for each ceremony." Arohi started rummaging through her sisters CD collection in the car, "I can't believe it's your engagement tomorrow, are nervous?"' she asked her sister. "a little but it's just butterflies." her sister responded as the stopped at the traffic lights."Anyway,I am so proud of you sister, that you found yourself a strictly Sikh", (in unison) "Punjabi boy, as our family would say." they both giggled.
Arjun picked up his watch and began strap to his wrist. "ami, ami where is my blazer." he scattered through his draw. "here it is." his mother walked into his room."Thanks ami" she handed the coat over to him."What's the rush?" Arjun grabbed his messenger bag and hanged it on his shoulder,"meeting, some case has come up" he explained to his mother."Before you go, place the order of the flowers your bebe told you about." Arjun nodded, "one more thing, your Bebe friend's granddaughter is getting married, you must attend all the functions with her since am not going to be here." He turned around, "what! Do I have to, I don't like these weddings." He groaned as his steps become motionless. His mother began to droop her face in dissapointment,"ami, look, please don't make that face" he sighed and wrapped her arms around his mother,"okay, I'll go, now please smile. Quickly." He kissed his mothers cheek and left the house.
Character is higher than intellect, that's what he believed when his farther left him and his mother. His dad left when he was still in teen years, we usually are acknowledged things when we suffer from a great emotion upheaval in our life. The emptiness of his father is still a milestone in his life. Suddenly he was the one holding the baton; there is was no generation above in his family tree able to take charge. It felt as if the disappearance of his dad had taken away the person he was inside, it had removed a piece of him that was integral to making that the person he was. He was wrong it made him stronger, When you're a self-made man you start very early in life. In his case it was at eighteen years old when he started bringing income into the family. He had a drive that was a little different, maybe a little stronger, than somebody who inherited it.
"What about them? Rhododendron" she pointed her finger toward the flowers. "Uhh'ermm'.no-no." Sara mumbled in a confused tone. Arohi exhale noisily, "you don't know what flowers you want for your wedding! We've been here for 1 half hour, am tried of looking at plants." She moaned as rested her back on the pillar."Look, Am going over there to see another set of flowers, I"ll be quick promise."
Arjun walked into the shop, he looked around to find the storekeeper, and he noticed a girl leaning against the pillar, so he marched towards her for help."Excuse me do you work here?" arohi turned around with a spiteful expression on her face, "YOU!" Arjun was taken aback by the tone of her voice."Hey, buffalo girl. I see you dont have name tag." she stood up straight, she felt insulted for some reason and the feeling inferior lingired."What! I don't work here and buffalo girl!..." before she could say anything Arjun cut her speech off, ".Keep talking. I always yawn when I'm interested." he took a couple heavy steps towards the cashier, to see if he could find the flourist.He glanced at his watch then lifted his gaze he was getting late for his meeting so he decided it would be better to come later in the day.
"Sara, Sara! It's him!"'Arohi marched over to her in hurry."Who?"Arohi pulled her sister away from the flower display, with her gaze still on her sister she raised her arm and ponited at the cashier desk, "him the one I told you about yesterday."Sara looked at her sister,"aro, there is no one there." arohi shifted her glance at the cashier desk,"he was there, I swear!" "Well, there is no one there now, can we please go back to picking the flowers."
Arjun hurled on a white kurtha with silver embroidery."Arjun, Arjun are you ready? Were getting late." His grandma knocked on his bedroom door. "Am ready. I am ready bebe." He wasn't really looking forward to attending any of the wedding ceremonies but his mum and grandma somehow tag him along like always. Hope time doesn't drag he thought. " Bebe, forget to ask who's engagement is it?" he questioned his grandma." You remember Dj or Sara singhania how used to go school with you." His bebe explained. "Oh-oh okay." They entered the house which was beautifully decorated. As soon as they entered the lights became faint and everyone's eyes where on the girl dancing.

Arjun blinked his eyes continuously, he could not believe it, dancing infront of him was buffalo girl what was she doing here?. His eyes were tied to her movements; she waved her scarf about and tingled with her payal. She was wearing an emerald green lengha with pearl and crystal silver embroidery. Her ears detained with Victoria style earrings. She danced with poise, expressing the lyrics with her face, the dance sequence came to an end and the place was filled with sheer applause.
Arjun walked over to Sara to congratulate her."Hey, congratulations." He gave a cheerful smile." Hey! Arjun, it's been so long, where have you been? Where's bebe and auntie." "Well mom's gone to Mumbai so she can't be here and bebe somewhere here." Sara and Arjun were busy talking when Arohi walked towards her sister, she did not realise it was Arjun who here sister was having a conversation with, because he had her back to her. "Arjun meet my younger sister, Arohi."Her jaw hanged It was him she screamed from within, what he was doing here her mind queried. Sara left them alone as she went to meet other guests."Hi buffalo girl, oh I mean Arohi." She threw daggers at him; she wasn't interested in starting a conversation with him. "Listen, i'm warning you, you're messing with the wrong person." He grinned at her, "am I, you don't seem deadly or scary about you." "You used to be arrogant and obnoxious. Now you are just the opposite. You are obnoxious and arrogant."She stormed off not allowing him to converse.
She tried to avoid Arjun throughout the evening. The engagement was a Beautiful affair. Arohi got a little teary eyed looking at sister starting a new phase in her life. Sara and Nihal we made for each other, just perfect. The engagement came to and end and the guest began leaving."Jasmeet (DJ) were are you going?". "Arjun is waiting for me in the car."Arjun grandma told Dj."Wait! tu kithe ja rahi hai?" Dj asked. "You're staying here." Dj demanded."Arjun's not going to listen." Bebe explained. "When it was your granddaughters wedding, we all came and stayed, so no if's and buts"
Arjun was waiting for his grandma in the car, he had been waiting for about 20 minutes still there was no sign of her, and so he decided to back inside. "There you are, you and your bebe are staying her until the wedding finishes." Arjun looked at his grandma, then back at Dj."i-I can't "he fumbled. Arohi who was comming down the stairs over heard the conversation; she just prayed that he says no. Arohi's mother amrit and father tried to convince him until he reached breaking point and said agreed to stay. Where have I got myself stuck he thought to himself.
"Arohi, Arohi" her Dj called her over, who was busy talking to her younger cousin simran. She walked over to her grandma knotting her hair into a bun."Arohi, drop Arjun off to a spare room." arohi smiled with evilness intertwined within her smirk." sure." arohi took the lead and Arjun followed from behind, they paced up a weighty set of stairs,until they reached a stop."Wait here!" arohi went see if there were any spare rooms available. She finally came across one but then thought why not make him sleep on the chata (celling) since he has been so obnoxious towards her."Listen, there are no rooms spare, so I guess you have to sleep on the chata.(celing)" she showed him the way."Here we are, there's your khat.enjoy." Arjun began sorting his khat out,"one more thing, my chachu is sleeping there he snores very loudly.i mean very loudly."
Arohi tried to leave but Arjun kept coming in her way. "Move!" she spoke irritated approach. "Too much anger is not good for the soul. Buffalo girl." "Moron!" Arjun sighed, it was going to be a long night then he heard a snore, a very very long night...
