Chapter 19

The morning came with joy and desire for a new and happy life. Arjun opened his eyes to find Arohi sleeping soundly in his chest. Her face and the cute smile on her lips were that of an innocent child. She was one innocent child and Arjun knew their marriage will have to have that extra dose of patience and understanding. Whatever may Arohi say but he knew she hadn't let go off things past and Arjun was sure one way or the other he had to deal with it. He preferred to do it after their marriage not because he was afraid of losing her but because their marriage would be the one thing that would give him that one extra edge to make her understand. Having to deal with someone like Arohi was a difficult task. She didn't just have the scars of the past but she was also a strong willed and slightly head strong personality. And such deadly combinations of personality needed to be handled with care and caution. Arjun set aside his thoughts and shifted his gaze back to Arohi which was in a dreamy world. He looked at the entirely different girl in his lap. She was the most amazing girl he had ever met and also the most confused girl. She was more confused than anyone. She loved her dad to some extent but the past and what he did restricted her from showing any affection to him. Most importantly she didn't regret any such actions of herself. Arjun slowly caressed her face and combed her hair back from her face. She looked very vulnerable while sleeping and he had a sudden urge to hold her more tightly. Arjun's tight hug woke Arohi up and she smiled at him. She was just content to wake up like that and wished she did that for the rest of her life. She said "Good Morning" to him and was about to sit up right that someone took their photo. Arjun and Arohi jerked out of their position and looked to the door side to find June standing there with her camera. She as usual was grinning widely.

"Good Morning guys! Oh you guys disappointed that I broke the magic moment! So sorry but what can I do? I have to take your photos so that I can show how mushy lovers were you two to your children and grandchildren! I mean they would certainly ask me naa! Afterall I would be their cool aunt!" June said this and winked at a totally baffled Arjun and Arohi.

Arjun was the first one to come out of the shock. He wanted to hit June but he stopped in the middle thinking what she said was afterall right! It was certain she would be their children's cool aunt and it was no secret that she would say all the embarrassing about them to the kids! Seeing Arjun stop in middle Arohi understood what he was thinking and even Arohi couldn't disagree! There was no sureness with June! She did what she liked no matter what others thought! June knew exactly what they were thinking and it widened her grin. Arjun couldn't take her teasing anymore and threw a pillow to her. June ducked and running out she said, "Oye you can't hit me! And congratulations for getting engaged unofficially!"

Arjun shook his head. He was unable to control this toofan for 27 years and was sure he was not going to in any near future! Well as thinking of that he relieved a bit because now controlling this toofan would be the sole responsibility of Robbie! He turned his attention to Arohi who was trying to get up and thought he had his own little toofan to take care of!

Within one hour both Arjun and Arohi were downstairs and were getting themselves settled on the breakfast table. As Sudheer passed by Arjun got up and walked over to him. They discussed among themselves for sometime and finally Sudheer nodded his head reluctantly. Arjun came back to the table and winked at Arohi who was keeping a close watch on the two men. She raised her eyebrow asking what but Arjun just smiled at her and lip synched her to wait. Wait that was one thing Arohi could never do and the rest of the morning Arohi tried to get the news out of Arjun. But all in vain!

When the entire family came to know about Arjun's proposal some were happy, some were jealous and while some had no reactions at all. Natasha was trying her best to get Arjun notice her and when she understood she couldn't succeed she turned her attention to Robbie who happened to be her favourite hero. Robbie was doing everything so as to get rid of Natasha and to his bad luck June was out shopping with the girls. June was perfect in making plans and executing them.

"You know Robbie I am a great fan of you! I have seen every film of yours! You were super in all your films!" Natasha was still trying her luck and Robbie was out of his luck! Natasha wasn't the run behind the guys' type but yet she did this on two purposes. First, Arjun was Arohi's fianc and she loved to irritate anyone close to her. When she became bored of irritating Arjun she turned her attention to Robbie. Secondly, Robbie was her favourite hero and thus what she was doing with him was totally a 'head over heels' fan drama! Natasha was like that people who liked to irritate those people she disliked and Arohi was that kind who avoided them.

June was laughing hardly when she heard Robbie's plight. Even though Robbie was irritated over June laughing he couldn't shift his attention from her laughing eyes. She was always like this. Laughing and smiling, enjoying life to the fullest! Whatever may happen in her life she never stopped laughing. That was one thing he liked about her. When Robbie came to know that Arjun proposed Arohi he admired Arjun's courage. Here was him who was trying to propose his love since the day they confessed! He was sure she was the one for him and he wanted to tie the knot. But being with June means you can't really expect anything logical or sane from her. She may blatantly say that she can't marry now and wouldn't feel that she was uptight! He needed to do it with caution and was practicing everyday but the moment June came in front of him his throat becomes dry and his words seemed to disappear. Robbie wasn't necessarily afraid of her but her impulsive and very honest approach scared him. By now June had stopped laughing and was watching different expressions that flashed on Robbie's face. She loved it when his face expressed what his words couldn't. He was an open book in every sense. Anyone could read him but no one could understand him the way she did. June's lips slowly curved into a smile thinking about how cute he looked while frowning! June was unaware of the fact that Robbie was planning to propose to her but she knew something was cooking.

Robbie and Arjun were sitting outside talking. Arjun was telling Robbie to relax and propose June while Robbie was trying to relax but failed everytime when he thought about June's reaction. He had never had this much difficulty in doing anything. The only thing that was this much difficult was to get June to confess which luckily she did on her own! Finally Robbie decided to propose to June but only after returning to Chandigarh and on the day of Arjun and Arohi's official engagement. He had time till then to practice.

Arohi caught Arjun on his way to his bedroom and asked him what he told her dad. He slowly explained that he told him about their engagement and they were going to leave right after Ishaan's wedding and would get married in a month's time. On asking about his reaction Arjun slyly smiled and winked at Arohi. Arohi was once again baffled but she was more relieved she was getting away from this hell very soon! Seeing Arohi slipping away to her thoughts Arjun pulled her to him and said huskily, "Arohi I want to……………. I want to eat something! Can you get something from the kitchen?" Arohi was confused. She expected something and something else happened. When she totally regained her senses she hit him hardly and went to the kitchen dragging Arjun along with her.

June was already seated in the kitchen counter and Robbie was looking in the fridge when Arohi entered the kitchen followed by Arjun.

"What are you doing here?" Arohi asked.

"Nothing yaar! We were looking for something to eat but there is nothing here! Doesn't your family eat anything? Yeah may be they all look so lean and sometimes mean! But you are different! You are still lean but not mean! So what are we going to eat?" stopped June and Arjun, Arohi and Robbie broke into laughter. When there was June around there was no chance of getting bored! June looked at her friends curiously and grasping the meaning of their laughter threw the grapes she was eating at them. Instead of stopping they laughed some more. Finally Arohi stopped laughing and moved to the kitchen counter and slowly hit June's head and opened the fridge to get ingredients out for making a late dinner. Soon enough they were burrowing into instantly made sandwiches and some fruits.

As Arjun watched the two most important girls in his life munching away their food he felt content. He watched as his Arohi ate with innocence. She looked innocent in whatever she did. He then looked at his friend who was eating like a naughty kid which she was all her life! They both represented the same thing but entirely different sides. They both were kids. If Arohi represented an innocent calm kid June represented the naughty and restless kind! But one thing was common to both of them. They both were important to Arjun and will always stay that way.

i know it's more june-robbie than arjun-arohi! i am sorry i wasn't getting any immediate arjuhi scenes!
