Can't believe it... Still in shock! Hate Gauri errr đĄ
What a fantastic peice of work Anu..đđ - Absolutely loved reading it...the reason behind arohi not trusting him was well justified...Honestly reading ur work sometimes makes me feel like 'm reading a polished writer..beautiful and exceptionally visualized.đ
@Madhu...I am working from home today...so although at home but is on call...will try my level best but must say finding it hard to write from a man POV...I could indentify myself with Arohi's emotions and phrasing it was easier where as from a man POV..the language, the emotion, the passion will all need to be different I guess...and I am a bit stuck...will try my level best

Chapter 7
It was not only Arohi who was being haunted by the ghost of the past even Arjun felt the same restlessness within himself. He just couldn't believe his acts. He had simply gone to wish Arohi "birthday" and return her shares of the company instead he had kissed her twice and behaved like a complete egoistic fool. But then only Arohi has the talent to drive him to utmost distraction and make all his plans fall apart. He boarded his private jet to New York and as he sank into the luxury of the soft chair his mind reeled back to the past.
Arjun's memory took him back to their first encounter when he had saved Arohi as "the princess in distress" from those pirates. He smiled as he remembered how she had clutched him around the neck, and resting her beautiful face on his chest told him in between her sobs and sniffles that he was her prince. Her terrified little body had clung to him for protection and since that day he had vowed to himself that he would always be there for her.
He had always found her delightful as a child...chattering and fluttering away but there was nothing sexual. To him he was her protecter...the one destined to make her feel safe and secure. Then he went to States for further education but he could never forget his Arohi. With time his cravings for her grew. Although he couldn't name the sentiment but he knew that there was something more to it. But one year during his visit he realised the sentiment'...it was love; he was falling hopelessly in love with her. But she was only fifteen. He had been furious with himself. He stayed away from her; told himself that he couldn't possibly love a school girl and so for the next couple of years he almost avoided her. In order to take her off his mind he started dating without strings attached and literally turned into a casanova even without him realising it. But he had always loved Arohi for years. Those were fleeting fancies to him just to keep his mind and desire in control.
When he had heard about her father's death he had dashed to her side. As soon as he had seen her he knew that he had been fooling himself. She was his. But she was too grief stricken and so after settling her down he left Mumbai with the promise to return back during Easter. Even he was quite surprised to know that Sharma Uncle had appointed him as her trustee but he took the responsibility with pride and pleasure. Although it was never mentioned openly but he could always gather from his dad's and Sharma uncle conversation that they both would have loved to take their business relation a notch more personal.
Then he came back with a mission to begin his courtship. He knew there was no hurry as Arohi was still very young but he thought that he would lead her gently and make her realise his love for her in the coming couple of years. Except it backfired. Arohi had been reading all about his womanising ways from the tabloids and one day when she teased him about it he could see the jealousy in her eyes and could feel the pain in her voice. Although, he tried to lighten the mood by pulling her in his embrace but the tearful expression on her face had pierced through his heart. He felt ashamed of being so reckless in his ways of dealing with women in the past.
Later on, as they walked along her garden and it crept up in the conversation that she was a good friend of Arnav, he became sick with jealousy and insecurity. Looking at the ravishing beauty by his side he just couldn't control his heart-felt emotions. All his good intention of giving her time went out of the window. Before she could say anything he had hauled her into his arms and had kissed her luscious lips. Her soft body responded to his touches in a way that he had never experienced before. He had decided to marry her as quickly as possible. And when she had given her consent he felt like the luckiest man in the whole world.
Arohi's eighteenth birthday night had been the most memorable night in his entire life. All he wanted was to end a perfect day with a prefect kiss. But the moment he had taken her into his arms her body had arched up to him to express her desire. Despite of his attempt to divert her attention, her ""Please love me Arjun" had swept all his inhibitions completely. The way her heart had reached out to him begging him to possess her, he had lost all his control. The feel of her soft mouth on his, her curvaceous body responding to his caress and her beautiful face blooming with pleasure had forced him to give in to the call of temptation. That night he felt like a man who had discovered some unexpected treasure. He felt complete with Arohi by his side.
He was the happiest man on earth the day he got engaged to Arohi in his villa in Greece. She looked ravishing in her evening dress ...so young'.so delicate. The night had been perfect. They had danced the whole night finding solace in each other's arms. He had kissed her again but this time with an absolute sense of possession and oneness.
The next morning he had gone to Paphos for a businees meeting. When he came back he couldn't find Arohi in the villa. As he was about to look for her he got distracted and Natasha had informed him that Arohi had a migraine attack and had been sleeping in her room since morning. So he kept out of her way. But later on when she had refused to have dinner he had gone into her room to check on her. And there in the room by returning their engagement ring Arohi had given him the biggest shock of his life.
"I don't want to marry you Arjun. I want to get on with my studies, my life. I am not ready for marriage or commitment " had been her exact words. Thinking that she was just apprehensive before the wedding he had put an arm around her shoulder saying " I promise everything will be fine". As he had tried to kiss all her worries better she had twisted out from his arms and said " I am only just eighteen, far too young, and you are ...'." She had trailed off but definitely implying that he was too old for her. As a last resort he had even tried to change her mind by reminding her of the perfect night they had spend together but she had laughed mockingly. She had said " Common Arjun I am sure you have had plenty of perfect night with plenty of women. As for me it was the biggest mistake of my life and sooner I forget about it the better it is going to be for both of us"
Her words had pierced through his heart. He knew that he had made some mistakes in the past but he was a changed man. He had never even glanced at any other woman since he had professed his love to her. But he couldn't change the fact that he was eight years older than her. So he had to let her go with the hope of a hopeless romantic that one day she would realise his love and come back to him...
