Part - 5

Arohi's eyes grew wide looking at the exam sheet. Her mind set in motion. "NO WAY ARE YOU MAD?" arohi cried. "Mmm...If you don't want to do it it's ok. I thought you may want to help him" shefali sighed. "No. I do. But..." "It's a perfect plan. We have done it once in our school." "Are you sure? But someone comes to know about it. I mean copies have number matched with our enrolment number." arohi inquired now concentrating. "Means you are ready?" shefali chirped excitedly. "May be...umm..." "He risked himself for you. But it's still your call." "Okay I am ready. "So what's your plan?" arohi asked sounding confident. "Okay first you write down the answers in this sheet and leave the rest planning up to me." "But roll number?" arohi asked. "Arohi lemme return first." Arohi convinced herself to write answers after shefali's exit.

Two hour later shefali retuned with a black ink pen, a blade and a broad grin. "What's all this?" a baffled arohi asked. "Our weapons. You completed?" "Huh..." "Okay luckily two good things have happened." "What?" "Firstly that dumbo gauri is still not returned." Arohi rolled her eyes. She hates gauri. "And secondly I picked up copy from our class itself. So we have to worry about only last two digit of serial number." "Hmmm..." Arohi nodded.

Shefali carefully scratched the last two digits '95' of serial number with blade. She then used the ink pen to write '88' which were arjun's copy number preceding arohi's '89'. Arohi was sure of number because she had seen it. "Being 88 it has decreased our risk factor. But if I had to write whole number still no one could suspect." shefali sighed victoriously. Arohi couldn't agree more, it was perfect. Shefali took out a trace paper and an old copy. "And this is for Mrs. Anjum's signature." "How do you do all this?" "Few of my many skills."

"Now Part B, there are three gates into administrative block one front door, one fire exit and a back door. Now here are keys of back door and copies' room." "How you managed it?" arohi asked snatching keys out of shefali's hand. "A pout and little money. And gaurd agreed." "But?" "It has been done once here..." Arohi's eyes grew wide and shefali giggled. "OMG...Your big brother?" Shefali nodded.

Girls hostel, ground floor bathroom, "Shefali it's too high..." "Arohi stop cribbing and jump. Its eight foot only." "Umm..." Arohi stuck her legs out of vent and jumped. Shefali followed. "Okay we have a one hour window to complete mission and return." Gaurd allowed them into building.

Arohi and shefali tiptoed in the corridor. "Shefali I think I heard someone." "Come on arohi don't be scared. Everything is under control." And then round the corner arohi bumped into something hard rather someone.

In dim torch's light arohi looked up and found a familiar face. ARJUN. "YOU" both cried out loud. And instantly reached for others mouth. Slowly removing hand off each other "What are you doing here?"both whispered. "We are here for arjun's copy" shefali said with hands on arohi's shoulder and face tilting. "Oh... same purpose." romit said at same position behind arjun. Arohi and arjun were glaring each other.

"Okay, complete our mission" shefali said. They all agreed. And turned towards the room just besides them. STAFF ROOM. "Keys." Arohi asked. "You have keys? How?" romit asked surprised. "You know girls are talented" shefali said smirking. But her smile vanished. "Arohi I can't find keys." "What?" "Yeah it must have fallen when you bumped into arjun and me into you." Arjun shook his head. "You girls think too highly of yourselves" arjun said putting his hand on door. Surprisingly door opened. Everyone's jaw dropped. "Thank god. Arjun and arohi go and complete the work. I and romit will find keys."

Both entered room. "Okay let's find it and then I will complete the rest answers." "No need" arohi said checking the copies. "What?" Arohi showed him the sheet brought by them. "But roll number and signature..."Arohi took out his original copy. "WOW... I don't have to write it now" arjun said looking at the serial number. "Thanks shefali not me" arohi defended.

Arjun reached at the door and softly thanked shefali. Turning back grinning he pushed the door absentmindedly. Thud... "You foolll" arohi said looking at an eyes closed, brows raised and fist clenched, stiff arjun. "Arohi I am sorry." Arohi knocked on the door exasperating. "Arohi...Arjun..." shefali's voice come from other end. "We are stuck shefali, find the keys." "HOW?" "Because of this fool arjun." Arohi and arjun heard chuckles. "Okay wait."

Ten minutes of arohi staring at the door and arjun at the ground, arjun broke the deadlock. "Arohi I am sorry. It was an innocent mistake." Arohi glared at him. "Can't we be friends?" arjun pleaded. Arohi rolled her eyes. "Why?" "Because I don't like your face." "Come on arohi you like me otherwise you wouldn't have come here." "I came here only because you saved me today and I wanted to return your favour." Arjun was about reply when door opened.

"Arohi we are out of our time limit. How will we return back?" shefali asked. "Oh Shit..." "What time limit?" arjun frowned. "It's 12, guards' exchange, the one at night shift doesn't know about us." Lightning struck arjun. "Just the way we will." "No dude... how?" romit wondered. "Trust me. Let's go."

All of them were pacing up the stairs while arjun explained them. "Look, besides this building there is library and then boys' hostel. Each of them has three foot gap which can be easily crossed." "But arjun problem is going out of hostel, they can't stay there at night" romit interrupted. "We can go out of bathroom vent" arohi joined in. "No but we can't" arjun argued. "You aren't needed." "No it's too late, you came here for me and your safety is my responsibility. Its boy's hostels around there." arjun said sternly. Resulting only arohi's glare. Shefali looked at the open terrace door and asked "How you both managed it?" Arjun showed her a thin metallic wire. "You girls only don't have the tricks."

Romit jumped first. Arjun helped shefali to jump. Next was arohi. She gazed at arjun apprehensively. "Trust me I won't eat you" arjun assured. Arohi looked into his eyes and found it. And jumped allowing his help.

"Romit bring two pullovers." Romit brought them. "Wear them and cover your hairs." Arohi and shefali did that. "Guard bhaia can we go for a walk." Gaurd looked at them suspiciously. "Students go when exams causes sleepless night. Please." arjun said handing him a hundred rupee note. Guard nodded.

In corridor, arohi and shefali were silently moving. A familiar coarse voice startled them from back. "Who is there?" Both froze closing their eyes. Arohi silently whispered to shefali "Close your eyes and act sleepy." "Mam it's me arohi and this is shefali." Mrs. Anjum came up to them and looked at shefali. "What are you both doing here at middle of night?" "Mam shefali sleepwalks sometimes. I caught her today so taking her back to the room." "But you two even don't share the room." "Mam this is little embarrassing so she doesn't want to tell anybody except me" arohi pleaded. "Okay, go. I won't tell anybody. Take care of her" Mrs. Anjum said sympathetically stroking shefali's hair. Shefali and arohi pressed hard to control their giggle up to their room.

Arjun and romit returned to hostel. "Arjun if that guard ask about other two boys?" "He is the new guard. It is his first day. Just take my cue."

"Excuse me you were four now only two returned?" "Four? No we were two bhaiya." "No I am sure you were four." "Oh no. You have started seeing them too" arjun asked frowning. "Seeing them?" "Yes. Them who made last guard go away. They are seen wearing pullovers, hiding their faces roaming around" arjun said getting his eyes bigger and in a scary way. Guard face started losing colour. "Who?" "They who committed suicide jumping off first floor umm... I mean eighth floor" romit jumped in pointing his fingers upward. Guard's face turned pale and he gulped. "But don't worry bhaia they usually don't disturb us."

Both reached their room. "By the way what were you both doing in the locked room?" romit smirked twitching his brows. Arjun glared at him. "Okay at least tell me you intentionally closed it? Huh..." Arjun shook his head. "Okay at least tell me what she whispered in your ears on way to girls' hostel?" Arjun smiled. "She said she will think about us being friends."
