From Mrs. Bajaj to Mini!

Another decent episode today. 👍🏼

While I have had issues with the writers not delving deep enough in to the characters they have created, Kabir's calling Mini "Mrs. Bajaj" in Manali says so much about the impact of the accident on his life...such a simple way to show the importance of the incident on how his life shaped up. To him Mini was still Mrs. Bajaj despite knowing she was not...Mrs. Bajaj that is. The slight tremor and hesitation in Kabir's voice for those few few initial seconds while talking to Mini in last week's episode was that of the waiter he had been at the Merchant Hotel when he had first met her. He recovered quickly but those seconds in the screenplay said more about Kabir than weeks of episodes. The growth in comfort between the two was then wonderfully shown today in Kabir's happy entry in to the room to greet Mini and Hanif as well as the eventual reference to Miss. Merchant...and finally Mini. 👏 Love this type of screenplay detailing.

And then there was Rihanna and Natasha...Rihanna Rihanna Rihanna. 😳 What a scheming soap-type villain she is! But...has she underestimated her daughter's integrity? Remains to be seen in tomorrow's episode. Have to say, Farid standing up for his love was kinda cute...silly guy...but so in young irresponsible immature love!

Sapna for her part is stuck between the proverbial devil and the deep sea. The same Aditya who was so understanding of Kabir after the time the latter came to his office and shot Sapna, cannot see beyond his anger right now. Similarly, the Mini who was acting out all this while cannot get past her disappointment at her brother's "apparent" rejection.

It was a decent episode.

no comments on Rihanna. I know it sounds bad, but Mubarak should have used his skill (killing..lol) on her rather than that innocent adopted mum of Kabir's.

anyhow, Kabir- Mini equation has been interesting. Two complete strangers to begin with but destiny has brought Mini closer to him than she could have ever been with her own blood brother.

Aditya is becoming paranoid (i dunno the right choice of word to describe) day after day. It seems his ego has been hurt after that last encounter with Kabir. It's so good to see how both men are flawed in their own ways yet sorta right in their own ways too.

Sapna, just like Lubna, is getting sandwiched more and more in this constant tussle between their husbands.

I'm looking forward to this week's episodes. The daily agenda for both Aditya and Kabir is becoming what the other is up to 😆. If Kabir did this much profit, then Aditya has to match that. If Aditya bought this much percentage of shares, then Kabir has to match that as well.lol

I know Amy...😆. Rihanna is such a caricature of the Hindi soap villain types...annoying as hell!

I like how they are developing the Mini - Kabir equation. They are kindred spirits of sorts...bound together by a tragedy that changed both their lives.

Aditya is now losing the perspective that made him the successful businessman. Poor Sapna.

Have to say I like how Kabir and Aditya's lives mirror and contrast each other. For e.g. the loss of Saraswati was tied to Aditya...at least in Kabir's mind. Similarly, Aditya will link the symbolic loss of his status as "brother" to Kabir.

This epi gets a 5/5 from me..😃⭐️👏

Highlight = The relationship that grew from a mere duty of serving people,being loyal to the job,humanity and now a brother like.

U can not hate mini for doing this.Any one would be in awe of a person who saves her from atrocity more than one time.
Mini is very grateful of nawab ... She is upset with her brother because he didnot once look out for her.Girls like to b pampered.

As ARM said she should've been tamed many years ago.I blame her mother and also Granny for that.
If she was groomed well since childhood then who knows she would've been the next Indra nooyi😆

coming to Nawab - His hurried mannerisms for meeting mini and having a very calm and genuine talk with Mrs baj...actually MINI was very well portrayed.
while watching that scene i was like What an acting ... by all 3.

Hanif and Sapna both r stuck between relationships. Thats life!

Rihanna-Natasha...ugh! even the daughter knows whats right n wrong.whats the diff btw Rihanna and that Bai who run that brothel (where saraswati was)

n our cutie ARM is upset abou his sisters act.I am not surprised by him for doubting nawab of that incident.Any one in their wildest thoughts would... bcos all that nawab being in Manali seemed too good to be true...! In real anyone would think that way...

WORD to everything you said about Kabir and Mini. Those two were definitely good today. I could never convince myself to dislike Mini because may be i could sorta sympathize with that character. She had been neglected all her life, be it Badi ma or Aditya. It would definitely suck to be in her shoes. Had she been given encouragement and support to do something better in life, she would have definitely been what her father, Madhav Merchant, dreamed her to be. What happened with Mini's case, does infact happen to girls without a father or father figure in their life, girls who are neglected and girls who have all the luxuries but no one call her own...and it happens not only in India but have heard of cases here in the States as well. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and such are some recent cases...although i can never actually "sympathize" with them.

@jaya-- it is indeed interesting to see how much similar ARM and Kabir are but with contrast. I hope i made sense with that lol.

@Sapna, Lubna and Hanif--- they too are in similar situations

Sapna somehow stands out of the lot, may be because we've seen more of her. i like how she actively participates in everything and offers advice and support to Aditya. Lubna, on the other hand, is totally aloof from what Kabir does. She takes more of the typical "wife" role of telly leads.

Completely agree Ritika. I have a soft corner too for Mini. I find the writers have done well in terms of fleshing out her character. The whole Kabir - Mini dynamic has been shown so well with such limited screenplay time that it is to the writer's credit that it has been so impact-full.

jaya exactly...in mere 2-3 epis they made such an interesting/beautiful relationship..

@amy- i do read updates of any random show which i've ever watched ...mostly maryada...
one can avoid saas-bahu sagas for months/yrs but still can connect when they continue...its so sleazy n predictable with them

Amy...good point about Sapna vs. Lubna. Sapna's character has the ability to be candid and still support Aditya while Lubna is far more of an introvert.

@ritika-- lol yeah they are very predictable and such slow developing storyline.

@Jaya-- yup. and i think i remember hearing Lubna being introvert from the woman who plays Lubna in some interview.
