what if lalit keeps on talking about his promise and one of them says what about the promise you made to our father Balraj. Then everything will be out and he will finally know that they are Balraj's daughters and will question DJ about it. And finally tables will be turned and DJ will have to answer questions.
but I am pretty sure that might not happen for a while.

story wouldn't end but would set up for preet to marry heer when prem dies. Because now Lalit will remember his promise to balraj and try to get prem married to heer. And when prem dies, he will not abandon heer but get preet married to her.
This is only because of the initial story and what I got from official website, that preet loves Ash but marries heer.

Prem is for sure not going to die, after winning awards n such they are not going to kill him off.

i personally hope prem n heer leave and then come back to invite the old man to their wedding and give him the leaf wedding card and thats how he comes to know who heer really is....
