11 jun: big things, little things

re-discovered a wonderful part of the remote called "the mute" button. d'you know that it is actually fun watching dirtchachi's grinding gums and bulging eyes when you don't know what the heck she's saying in that high-pitched whinney voice??! 🤣

* big thing: oooh, putrid prashant is such a manipulator! he gets some of the people with "heer's innocent -- she hasn't said she loves prem." and he gets others with "will prem choose to save his parents self-respect?" despised laluchacha for lighting up and smiling when pp said he would marry heer. 🤢

and that poop worked. 🤢🤢

* big thing: wait, has we shifted over to china where they value memories of the dead over everything else in family honour??? laluchacha now puts his pride, his vow over the heart, over everything else??? 🤢

* big thing: hate prem. there, i said it. love his mouth 😆, but really, hated prem. what the heck is he trying to do now? caused havoc, doesn't even bother finding out what effect it has had on the girl he said he loves (why? because we're in "mein bhagwan nehi hoon, nehi dekh sakta?" mode?), totally trashes the lover to shift focus on being the perfect son???

at the very least, couldn't he have at least asked his father whether ashlesha still wants to marry him, and that he would then be happy to do it?

why does he think he has to match his drama-loving father with drama of his own? for a moment, i wondered whether they were trying to do one-upmanship on each other for dramatic pronouncements. (i could actually hear the underlying soundtrack in my head: "me gave better speech", "no, me!", "me, you young whippersnapper!", "no me, you ancient crone!" )

seriously hated that segment. the rigidity and sheer stupidity of both those people. my heart suddenly cried out for the sense and sensibility of gayatri-mom and preet at that moment. but neither came. sigh. maybe today??

* stooopid prem-thing: he's wiping a tear with a finger with rain pouring over his face? hc, when the direction is stooooopid, do you still have to do it? 🤪

(can you tell i got really ticked off at prem today? 😭)

* little thing: heer sobbing in her room was heart-breaking today. poor little heer.

* little thing: c'mon, confess. let's be honest with each other - don't tell me you didn't want to grab the lute out of prem's hands and break it over his pretty head? well? dinchya??? 😆 my fingers were aching, i soooo badly wanted to knock him out of his current senses! 😡

seriously, should i start a "hate prem" post? 😆

* little thing: totally loved preet-harman's little play to "teach prem bhaiyya what is right, what is wrong". they were soooo sweet. the way they'd say something and then furtively sneak a peek at pb's face to see "whether he's getting it?"! 😆 totally, totally adorable. 🤗

* big thing: meher's reached breaking point, and she gets all the correct ideas! darn it, she should've been the elder one!

again, that dreaded "meri-kasam"/"swear-with-hand-on-my-head" trick comes up again to suppress good ideas! i have a bad feeling i'm not going to be watching this serial for much longer -- even with the most gorgeous guy on tv in this show.

(btw, hadn't we thoroughly discussed this entire "heer/meher should've blasted laluchacha about his hypocrisy about honour and values and asked him about mistreating their father's trust" yesterday??? is this coincidence? are we prescient? or is this forum tapped by those-who-make-serials? 😆)

* big thing: okay, so whose else heart leapt when heer said she'd go and tell muckmeet about "me and prem"? er, what exactly are you going to say about you and prem to muckmeet, heer? enquiring minds want (badly!) to know. 😆😆

* little thing: didja notice bruise marks on heer's upper arm? either that was extremely intelligent application of make-up, or, poor thing, ag actually gets bruised when she is manhandled by prem or dirtchachi?? 😕

* little thing: prem drives his car to muckmeet's house. er, heer lands up there -- on foot? oh, doesn't heer stand for deer in hindi??? 🤣

* little thing: who else wanted to hit muckmeet upside of his head when he chose that precise moment to grab heer's dupatta and shove her out of the way? (okay, bad question. i think i always want to hit muckmeet upside of his head whenever he appears on screen, whether he grabs heer's dupatta or not. 😆)

was she just about to say that she and prem had no relationship?

(but i must say: the actor playing prashant/muckmeet looks like he really enjoys doing the mad bit. i really thought that his "two-two-chocolates?" question to preeto while she was whisking him away from the party was hilarious! 🤣)

* little thing: who else felt cheated when prashant said so little about "the plan" for heer's listening enlightenment? he was sooo much more elaborate when prem was listening.

call the political-correctness cops! we need to report this bias against being less helpful to girl spies and more helpful to guy spies! 😆😆😆

* big thing: picture abhi baki hai -- what's going to happen over the next two weeks?? (we all know that it's going to take two weeks -- of grand dresses, insane songs and dances, fake smiles, unshed tears, etc, etc. -- right? 😆) my takes on that are too long to put into this post -- it's going to be in my next post today.

highlight of the episode: the brother's "teach-prem" play. meher's wanting to leave the house with "our dignity" intact.

very well said👏...this is what I was saying in another topic.Prem didnt even try telling his father or tried to convince him that he loves heer and just think from the POV of heer..he should have atleast tried.

Heer needs his saat now more than his love. Prem needs to wake up and realise just getting married to a nice guy will not solve Heer's problems

* prem thing: if i wasn't soo furious at him, i'd have thought that the little action of his in the rain, where he looks at his hand lifting up to cover his face - as if he doesn't know whose hand it is! - was kinda an incredible show of his misery. 👏

but i was at the height of hate-prem during that moment -- how could he have thrown away all the hard work of confessing his love in one instant, by promising stooopid things to his father? argh!

* another prem thing: the love in his eyes for his brothers was incredible. hc can really make his eyes go as soft as melted chocolate whenever he wants? how about whenever i want?? as you would say: *thud* 😆

i think i have mentioned this before, but i think that balaji telefilms should get insurance cover out on his eyes like j-lo has on her butt. 😆 what an asset!

well said yaar...even i dislike prem today but he cried in the rain just melts my heart away and i am back with love prem mode

If not for IF's weird behavior, I would've posted a topic in the similar lines as 'I hate Prem'...May not 'hate' and all, but I do object what he did today and then he was sitting in his room aaraam se playing and entertaining himself...😡

raksha, left some prem-things for you. but i'm glad you didn't disagree with my reading of prem today - i thought i'd be the only one. 😆

i especially totally agree with you about feeling terrible about prem playing music to himself, while heer sits alone, wet and sobbing her heart out, because of what he had done. that was a terrible contrast. 😕 at least, he was miserable because of what he had chosen to do!

what is worse is: if prashant comes and gets married to heer right under prem's nose, will he do anything about it?

if prashant organises marrying heer at his own home, and prem is getting married at his own, will prem actually dash out and stop things?

suddenly, i am not so sure about young mr. prem anymore? as someone else said, preet came into the football match because prem was hurt by the bad guys. perhaps this time too, it'll be preet who will do the heer rescue because prem has been struck blind-mute-deaf-and-dumb.

while that may save heer, it will not save the story, or prem's character from looking more than just a little flawed. 😕 that'd be sad -- it'd be nice to have a prem who is not flawed. 😕
