CHAPTER 4
It was a Sunday morning. All the men in Bakali House were sleeping like a dead guy. Meanwhile, all the ladies woke up and as their plan, gathered at the 10th floor.
Maya: So what do you guys think? Veera is up already?
Heer: Yeah you are right Maya. What if Varun opens the gate?
Meher: Oho, even if Varun opens the gate, he will go to bed after that for sure and I am almost sure Veera is up by now. Remember, for last some weeks she always wake up early on the Sunday mornings and go for a walk on the beach?
All three ladies looked at each other with a amusing face and laughed out loud. Heer rang the door bell. After some moments, Veera opened the door.
Veera: *Surprised* You people?! That too this early?! All okay?! *Tensed*
Heer: We should ask you that Veera. *Teasing*
Veera: *A bit scared and confused* What do you mean Heer di?
Meher: Arreh, let us come inside first.
Maya: Yeah and don't worry Veera, all is fine. Now let us come inside and wash you, I mean love you.
Veera gave them a very confusing look and let them come inside. All went to Veera's room and sat on her bed. Veera also sat there, suddenly Veera's phone beeped. A text message came to her phone.
Meher: Awww, morning texting! Choo chweet!
Heer: Maybe he is asking his baby girl that where is she?
Veera go for the walk. We will wait. *Winks*
Maya: Yeah yeah, after all he will be the chota son-in-law of the Bakali House family *Teasing*
Veera finally understood what the three girls were up to and she blushed heavily.
Veera: Shut up! Nothing like that. *Looking down, blushing*
Heer: Oh really?! Why are you now acting like a tomato then?
Maya: Tell us, tell us. We already know.
Meher: If you won't tell us, we will beat you black and blue. Come on, we are sisters.
Veera: Okay okay, I am telling wait. *Blushing* Let me first check if Varun is asleep or not. Otherwise, tomorrow my story will be found on the Bakali House's notice board. Oh and he is out of town by the way. We are not going for a walk today. *Continued blushing*
Meher: Haha yeah that is true about Varun and aww, you missing him right?
Veera checked on Varun and yeah he was in deep sleep. She came back to her room.
Veera: He is sleeping. Phew!
Heer: Now please ishtart your lab ishtory. *Teasing in a funny way*
Veera: Yeah yeah but listen ladies, please don't take me wrong. I was about to tell you. We are just dating for a month. I was feeling very shy to tell anyone. I wanted to tell you 3 first but was not getting a way in my head to tell. Now, as you 3 have already guessed, it is much easier for me to tell. Please don't be angry with me okay? You know me right?
Maya: Veera, we did understand your situation. Don't worry. We love you.
All 3 ladies hugged Veera together and Veera hugged them back.
Veera: So, we know each other since school. We liked each other from then but never confessed. We are now in the same university too. He is doing Economics with me. We were best friends since school but never told you all about him because I had feelings for him. Varun knows him since childhood. He proposed me last month and now we are finally together.
Meher: Olleee, so cuteee! So what is his name?
Veera: His name is Nihal. *Blushing*
Maya: Awww, nice nameVeera.
Heer: The way Veera is blushing and the smile on her face, now I can surely say that he is keeping our little sister very happy. Right Veera?
Veera just looked down smiling like a happy little shining pearl.
All the three ladies again hugged her in the same way and kissed her on the cheek. They told her that how much happy they were for her.
Veera: Today, I will tell Varun too about him.
Meher: Yeah, you should tell him too Veera.
Veera: Yeah and I guess you ladies will tell about it to my jeejus. Otherwise I might become senseless because of blushing if I will have to do it.
Heer: Hahaha, not to worry sister. We will tell them.
Maya: Yes little sister. *Heer's phone started ringing* I think, Heer's phone is ringing.
Heer: Oh yeah, let me see who is it. Prem? Let me take the call.
On call
Heer: Hello Prem?
Prem: Yeah, where are you? 10th floor, na? Come back soon please.
Heer: Yeah I am on the 10th floor but what happened? I already told you last night, that we ladies will have a early morning tea together, remember?
Prem: I know but your daughters are crying like there is no tomorrow saying 'Mamma got lost'. They woke me up and they are screaming and crying loudly.
Heer: What?! Oh God. Tell them I am here and tell them to calm down. They woke up and did not see me so they got scared.
Prem: Don't you think I have done that?! They are not listening to me. They want to see you ASAP. Come to our floor right now Heer.
Heer: Ufff! Okay, I am coming. Like father, like daughters. Fools.
Heer cut the call.
Meher: What happened Heer?!
Heer told them the situation at her home and rushed to her flat.
After Heer left, when the other three ladies were having tea, suddenly Meher's phone also rang and it was Preet.
Veera: Now I guess same story is happening on the 11th floor too. Haha.
Maya: Seems like that. *Laughs*
Meher: Hello Preet?
Preet: Early morning tea done? I cannot handle your goon son anymore.
Meher: Now what he did?
Preet: Erm, he did nothing actually *Low voice*
Meher: Now what you did?! You are such a childish guy, I tell you.
Preet: Arreh chill, I did nothing. Like in sleep, I dreamt something I guess and started talking. Your son got scared and woke up. Now he is not letting me to go near him. He is screaming 'ghost ghost, papa ghost' and showing me his cricket bat to hit me. Children generally cry on this type of situations but your goon son. Uff! He is like, he will kill the monster and win. *Pissed off voice*
Meher laughed out so loud that Preet got more pissed off and cut the phone telling her to go soon to her flat. Meher told Maya and Veera everything and they started laughing too. Then without wasting time, Meher left for her flat.
11th floor
Meher opened the door with her keys and went to their bedroom. There, seeing the scenario Meher had a real tough time to control her laugh. Preet was trying to go near Meet and Meet was screaming and trying to hit Preet with his cricket bat. Meet was saying that Preet was not his father and was a ghost. Meher ran to them. Meet saw her and almost jumped on her lap.
Meher: *Taking Meet on her lap* Hahahaha Preet. You are in deep trouble I can see. *Teasing*
Meet: Mamma, mamma don't tok to him. He it tost, tost. Papa is lot papa. (Mamma, mamma don't talk to him. He is ghost, ghost. Papa is not papa)
Preet: You goon kid, what do I do with you?
Meet: I will kill you monttal. *Angry* (I will kill you monster)
Meher: *Trying to control her laugh* Meet, my Toddu. He is your papa only. He is not a ghost. You know sometimes people talk in dreams. Don't worry Toddu.
Meet: Haww?! Tok in dleams? (Huh? Talk in dreams?)
Preet: Yeah that is what I was trying to tell you Meet, but you did not listen to me at all.
Meet: Solly Papa. I wuvvu. *Goes to Preet and hugs him* (Sorry Papa. I love you)
Preet: Ahahaha. What a love son! What a love!
Meher laughed out loud again and hugged both of them. Preet hugged them too.
