CHAPTER 4 (LAST CHAPTER)
The next day was a cloudy one. Meher slowly opened her eyes, she felt a bit dizzy. She looked at the clock and saw it was 12'o clock. She could not believe her eyes. Before she could realize anything she heard a voice, the voice which she wanted to hear all day.
Preet: Oye, you woke up?
Meher: Preet it is too late, where is everyone? Why did not anyone call me? *tries to sit up*
Preet: What are you up to, keep lying on the bed. *Concerned*
Meher: Preet this is strange, I am feeling so weak.
Preet: I knew you were a bit duffer, but this much?! Meher, you have high fever, do you even realize that? *loud voice, making her realise*
Meher: *keeps her hand on her forehead and realized* Oh yeah. But how did this happen? *confused*
Preet: Maybe viral fever, besides it was so windy last night outside, so maybe you got cold from there.
Meher: Hmm, yeah maybe. But where are the others?
Preet: Others? They have gone for sightseeing. Uff Meher our family, so stubborn. I have convinced them to go with much difficulty.
Meher was mesmerized by the word 'OUR' because Preet was talking about her cousins too. She was about to talk, suddenly it started raining heavily outside and they both looked at it.
Preet: Wow another full of fun rainy day for cousins outside. Meher, you sit here. I will get you breakfast.
Meher nodded in agreement. After a while Preet came with his and Meher's breakfast.
Meher: You did not have breakfast? *surprised*
Preet: When wife did not how could husband? *Preet's evergreen happy smile* Don't worry I did not make the food. Heer Bhabi did, she also made lunch for us before going.
Then Preet started feeding her, Meher was mesmerized again by him. How can someone be so protective and caring?! How?! She wondered. Meher got lost in him, she felt like a song was playing around them.

Preet fed Meher her breakfast and ate his one also. He then gave Meher medicine, Meher kept looking at him feeling loved. Preet then went to bring something and came back with a big blanket. Meher asked him with eyes that what was that blanket for. He winked on this.

Preet said, 'Chill, we will sit in this blanket keeping a safety distance from the window and enjoy since you have fever'. Preet and Meher had a lot of fun with each other while enjoying the rain. Whenever the thunder roared Preet grabbed Meher and took her a little bit away. Meher was totally lost in him.

Before they both could say anything, they heard a huge sound of coughing. They found the gang were back and they were coughing because of seeing them like that. Meher rushed to the washroom blushing and Preet looked down while blushing. All of them gave Preet a hmm nice progress type look.
At night Preet and Meher were about to fall asleep when suddenly Meher sat up on the bed. She looked tensed. Preet saw this, he also sat up and asked what was it.
Meher: Preet, here every night comes with something scary. I am feeling scared.
Though Preet himself was a very scared man but he tried to console his wife.
Preet: *cupping her face* Meher, whatever may happen but I will never let anything happen to you, no matter what.
Meher: *Hugging Preet* I know Preet.
Preet hugged her too. Suddenly Meher's eyes fall on something and she got scared. There was a black shadow moving behind the curtain slowly, a shadow of a woman who was smiling in a way as if she would kill someone. Meher could not take it anymore and screamed at the top of her lungs. Preet was shocked hearing Meher's scream but more than that Meet were shocked when the shadow behind the curtain screamed too and fall on the ground. They found Ashlesha lying on the floor with a very scary make up done on her face. Meher went to her and Preet moved the curtain where he found Gaurav and Veera standing outside the big window. They both ran away seeing Preet and Meher. Preet and Meher took Ashlesha with them and went to the garden behind Gaurav and Veera. They were again shocked when they found all the other too in the garden.
Preet: What was all this guys?
Gaurav: Ashlesha spoiled all of it. *disgusted face*
Ashlesha: So what would I do? Meher screamed so loud that I also got scared. You all knew how much I hated to do this drama.
Meher: Drama?! What drama?! *Surprised*
Kulraaj told Meher and Preet their whole plan and she also told Meher that Preet loved her as there was no pint hiding it then. Then she said to Preet, it was high time he should propose her and said sorry too both Meher and Preet for this haunted plan. Meet looked at each other and was not replying the others. They thought maybe they were angry on them and started saying sorry together continuously. Meher and Preet could not create the suspense anymore and laughed out loud. Seeing it, at first the others were puzzled but then they understood and started laughing too. Suddenly Preet lifted Meher in his arms.
Preet: Well everyone proposes going on knees so i felt like doing something different. After that late afternoon action of today I am pretty sure my wife, what will be your answer but still I am closing my eyes. Now, if you love me give me again a kiss on cheeck or else slap me. I love you. *closed his eyes*
Meher after a bit gave a slap on his check. Preet opened his eyes. Everyone along with Preet were shocked totally. Just then Meher kissed Preet's both cheecks and said, 'I love you too Preet'. Preet at first could not believe what just happened and then he started moving Meher round and round getting mad with happiness, realising what she said. The gang clapped loudly on this.
After all this they were gossiping in the garden, Kiran took Kulraaj the other side for some alone time and everyone teased them. After a while they all heard someone was walking inside the palace dragging something, exactly just like Kulraaj did the other day. Everone was confused.
Preet: *scared* What is it guys?
Herman: Uffo. Chill. I am sure Kulraaj is showing Kiran how she did it that day.
Herman was laughing saying this and everyone also felt relieved and smiled but their smiles were vanished when they saw Kulraaj and Kiran coming out from another side of the palace.
Meher: Kulraaj if you and Kiran were not inside then who was it?
They all looked at the palace and what they saw was enough to get them a dead feeling. They saw the light of the exact that room of the 1st floor were going off and on slowly in the same way. They needed no more time to understand anything.
Heer: So, the caretaker does not stay here at night for this. *almost sweating*
Kulraaj: This is why I also felt something unusual when we reached the palace first time. *trembling*
Herman: This is why the swing moved all by itself that day, now I get it. *stammering*
Meher: And for this I felt someone was there in my room too last night.*Scared like hell*
Everyone looked at each other breathing heavily as they were totally scared and Preet screamed 'RUN'
Veera: Jeeju our luggages?
Preet: Forget luggages, RUN FOR LIFE!!!! *screaming again*
They ran away with their lives towards their micro bus. Without wasting a second more, they started off for Juneja Mansion leaving an unknown behind at the Kasauli Royal Palace.
