Her hands are seemingly trembling just as she tries to arrange the glasses on the tray. She seems to be muttering something or may be cursing someone but nonetheless looks completely worried. She stops doing her job and takes a deep breathe trying to calm her exciting nerves. Same time the curtain of the galley opens up and a superbly handsome man comes in and sighs
Man : Heayyy Mannn!!!(pronounce as hey man)
Girl closes her eyes and turns around while opening them and saying
girl : Its Heer Mann Rish!!
Well I completely hate when people mispronounce my name but when it comes to Rish as in Rishabh I can't even argue. Why would I when he is all I have got in the name of family. He is my best friend, my companion, my confidante, my partner-in-crime, ex-roommate and recently my neighbour. I was never been left alone since I met him because he was always there for me whenever I needed someone to share my grief or celebrate my happiness and even we joined the flight attendant classes together then started working in the same airlines after that. All my high-school days and college days have gone by making people pronounce my name properly and I know if Rish is calling me like that then either he is in complete playful mood or utterly excited. This time I think its the second one.
Rishabh : Ohh c'mmon Munchkin!! You have to get a look at 2D!!
He sighed and took the champagne bottle in my hand and continued with my job of filling the glasses. Meanwhile, I dont think it is advisory for me to go and have a glance at him because the mere sight of his name in the list of passengers boarding the first class itself resulted in some unusual reaction out of me. So instead of doing what was being said she revealed the little information which is still unknown to him.
Heer : I know who it is Rish..
He looks shocked and before he could ask her how, she told him about their first meet..
Heer : Remember I went for an extra shift two months back without you, he was there for a meeting in a chartered flight with our CEO..
That was the only time she had to work without Rish. It was actually another girl's shift but she had to take an off at the last moment and their CEO has called herpersonally requesting me to take the shift looking at her seniority while she was not ready to take it up as first,she doesn't want to waste her day off with Rish and second, Rish wont be accompanying her. But still he was little persistent as he doesn't want any mistakes in their service that day and he couldnot trust some junior and finally she had to agree.
Rishabh simply sighed and she knows that it has to do with her indifferent attitude towards his excitement but least does he know how unnerving it is for her just to know that he is in a close proximity to her once again.
Rishabh : Ahhh c'mon munchkin.. You cant sulk like this forever..How many times I tried to hook you up with pilots, flight attendants and all but you seem to be no where interested. If not dating atleast check someone out. Not wanting to comment on that particular someone she spoke of the dating issue..
Heer : Well Mr.Rishabh Arora if I am not wrong then you are the one who warned those guys, whom you claimed trying to hook me up with, to back off once you got to know about them clearly..
He simply shrugged his shoulders and said
Rishabh : Well its not my mistake when they all proved to be a****les. I want the best for you not some first class jerks..
Heer just smiled and ruffled his hair taking the tray of champagne filled glasses from his hand for pre-board service while he went into the cockpit to have a brief chat with the pilots before takeoff.. She went and stood infront of the curtain that separated the first class and galley while taking deep breaths and continuously reminding herself of keeping her calm.
Heer(st) : If I can keep fully filled tray at a height of thirty thousand feet wearing 3 inch heel, not to forgot the turbulance, with much poise then I can do the same with much greater balance on steady ground.. Right Heer.. Yes!! Do it!!
She pushed the curtain aside and entered the first class with complete confidence and she even succeeded in her mission only until her eyes met that familiar chocolate brown eyes of that stranger.
Heer(st) : What is it that got me badly uncontrollable in his presence?! Undoubtedly he is the most attractive person I have ever seen in my life. Mind you I have seen many such attractive people, why not when I have served soaps stars, movie stars, all sorts of models but something in him is so unnerving and it is definetly not doing any good to my body, my heart or my mind. Is it simply that intense look in his eyes which he throws at me all the time that makes me nerve-racking.
She started serving the drinks from the last row trying to avoid him as much time as possible but finally it came to an end when his turn has come up.
Heer : Sir!!
Guy : No thanks!!
Heer : You need anything else Mr.Juneja?!
Juneja : Absolutely not Miss.Mann
Her eyes sparkled instantly with the realisation that he has remembered her name and before she could stop herself words flew out her mouth
Heer : You remember my name?!
Juneja : Well Yes, Heer.
He locked his gaze with heer and without her knowledge colour rose up on her cheeks while she tried hard to remain professional. She just nodded her head and started walking towards galley when she heard his soft words which made her stand rooted at her place.
'And its Prem!! You can call me Prem!!'
Shock is an understatement to what she is feeling right then but soon composed herself and left to galley without turning back or giving any reply.
