Part 2
"Inteha Hogayi Intezar Ki, Ayi na kuch Khabar MERI HEER' ki" he had been mind singing this from past half an hour, his self-antakshari. Heer where are you???? And what was taking the driver so long? Was he also the recent member of the WTPG (We The Prankster Gang) and doing this on purpose so as to keep his Heer his away from him?? Hmm let him first get Heer and about the driver he could decide later on, whether "usko maar diya jaye ya chod diya jaye." He let out a sadistic smile.
"Pyar hume kis mod pe le aya... and the rest continued" he had officially lost it. So much for not seeing her for two months. By each passing minute he was getting restless.
*ding dong* the bell rang. Finally! He went to the door telling everyone that it must be someone from office. He couldn't make it too obvious. Upon opening the door he was greeted by the newspaper-delivery boy smiling widely, showing his 32 teeth as if doing a commercial for Toothpaste saying "meri toothpaste mein namak hai? Kya apke toothpaste mein hai?". And from when did the toothpaste company start to advertise through delivery boy? Aaj kal log kya kya karte hai, bhagwan bhi na jane!. And wasn't he suppose to deliver the newspaper early in the morning. May be even he chose the exact day to come late. Prem Juneja, your family was not enough, that's why the whole world is plotting against you. Sighing he collected what he was suppose to sending away the boy to advertise somewhere else.
He went and sat there quietly opening the "Economic Times", ignoring all the happy chatter-batter' and reading it with such interest, as though he was suppose to become the next governor of the "Reserve Bank of India" and help to solve the economic crisis.
After ten minutes the bell went *ding dong* again.
He was suppose to get up to open the door but was stopped by Preet. And after few minutes he heard " HEER DIII"
Everyone ran towards the door except for him off course. Dang his luck! When he had gone to open the door it was the delivery boy and now when Preet goes its Heer. He stood there in a "Savdhan Position" as if standing for some P.E Class at school. After everyone had showered their "Hugs and Kisses" on Heer, hopefully left his share of "hugs and kisses" as well, not that he was going to try doing, they brought Heer inside.
He couldn't still see her. Everyone had gathered around her, bombarding her with question. For the sake of god leave her alone and let me see her, he wanted to shout but yet again it was just the mind battle. He felt like Arjun from Mahabharata, and his family was like the "Chakravyu", and he wanted to break it and reach to HIS Heer. Kya jamana hai, family ke log pyar ke dushman ban gaye hai.
And finally he got to see her. Their eyes locked, surrounding vanished, a smile playing on their lips and his self-antakshari started "baharo phool barsao, mera mehboob aya hai..."
But there was something or rather someone irritating him right now. He felt like punching that person.
"Prem Bhaiyaaa" he heard someone scream near his ears. Back to earth Prem Juneja. And everything reappeared again. Heer was still there smiling but her eyes lowered now. He turned his face towards the disturbance. It was Preet, standing next to him and screaming. Thank god my ears are still okay.
"Preet, don't scream I can hear" said an irritated Prem
"Bhaiya I m calling you from so long, aap sun hi nahi rahe"
"Sorry I was just thinking about something.."
"something or someone..." giggled Preet.
"Preet shut up." Said Prem giving him "one-word-and-i-m-going-to-kill-you" look. And Preet put finger on his lips.
His "pyar ki gadi" was going on smoothly until these people rather "pyar ke dushman" intervened and it came to a stop.
So nicely he and heer had been playing "eye-staring" game with "ankhon ki gustakiyan" going on in background but then as he had mentioned it before , for his plans to go successful *condition apply* his family had to stay away. He remembered Mughal-e-azam, and he understood Salim's condition where Akbar had kept Anarkali away from him. He imagined his family doing the same with the addition of singing for him "teri tie tie fish"
After that everything was blur. He didn't get to talk to Heer. Everyone kept her busy asking her about her flight, exams etc etc etc etc and it went on. They kept playing and talking with Heer like she had come on a chat show and they were shooting for "Koffee with Karan." Trust his siblings to do something good in his favour.
It was after dinner that he thought of something. If plan A doesn't work drop to plan B.
He wrote a note asking Heer to meet him at the terrace and kept it on her bed, hoping she would read it soon, once the conversation with the family was over. How much could people just talk? Of course not more than his family, he was sure and confident about their abilities. He prayed to god " Is plan ka khayal rakhna.." and he went from there to prepare and practice a bit. Wasn't it said "Practice makes a man perfect?" for him now the last minute practice was essentially important.

Once he reached to the terrace , he found the door open. "Bhagwan ji aap great hon! Heer is here. I'll handle from now." Saying this little player he went inside. He found a figure standing in the corner which was dark. Again better, he could speak better without getting distracted by looking at her. It seemed like finally things were going smoothly, in a goody goody way for him.
He went there. He could see the dupatta slightly. He went and stood just few feet away.
"Heer..."
And as if acknowledging his presence the figure shook its head. May be heer was too shy..
He started again " Heer thank you for coming here.. I mean u read the note right?"
Again the figure nodded and he continued although at the back of his head he was feeling like "dal mein kuch kala hai."uHu
" Heer I want to say that, I mean arr Heer.. its just that.. that.. the night is beautiful.."
He saw her nodding again. "Prem Juneja get a grip" say what you are here for.
He didn't know how to start. He was nervous like hell. Which idiot had said "Practice makes a man perfect?" . He had practiced so many times, yet here he was getting all nervous to even utter a word.
After that he said 5 more sentences just trying to make a conversation with the word "Heer" 5 times in a single sentence.
At last after lot of struggling, muttering, and stutterings he said "Heer I Love You."
Which was followed by laughter. The lights were on, and he at once realised he was trapped.
He tried escaping but instant thinking didn't work. He saw Kulraj Di, Kiran Jiju, Veera, Preet satnding there and laughing. And turning behind he now realised that the figure in the dark was not Heer rather "Meher", Preet's girlfriend.
So since so long he was blabbering not to Heer and finally when he had said what he was suppose to, it was not again to Heer. Luck!!
And then he heard from Kulraj di,
"I think these newspaper people are really foolish. They think Prem Juneja is very strict and smart and whatever whatever, and here he cant even say a proper I Love You." And then pinching his cheek she continued
" aww Prem you look so cute when you are all shy. And I was suppose to keep a bet with Veera as to how many times you are going to say the word "Heer" in your conversation".
Everyone roared in laughter.
Bhagwan mere saath hi kyun.
Prem pulled Preet's ears " Preet ke bacche tera plan tha na ye????"
Preet winced once and his Kiran Jiju came in for defence.
" Prem leave him. It was not his plan, rather it was mine."
To say he was shocked would be an underestimate. The last time he checked Kiran Jiju was not the member of "WTPG" and he was on his side, in hone party kab change kar li????
" Jiju you???? Apne aisa kyun kiya???"
" Well it was not my fault. Staying with your sister for so many years had to have some bad effect. And all of us were so bored by yours and Heer's silent game. We though of having some fun."
He thought his jaw was going to hit the ground. Had he actually turned deaf or was this all illusionary??????
After recovering from the initial shock, he asked his jiju, this time a bit scared.
" Jiju, now since you know everything, well err.. do u mind Me and Heer.. I mean you know right what I want to say??"
Everyone started laughing again. He was the official joker today, not by actions but by words"
"offcourse not. I m really happy. Actually we have been waiting for quite long time now..."and he pulled him in a hug.
After passing on one hug which he had saved for Heer he enquired about Heer.
" Vo Heer BHABHI is in the open balcony waiting for you there, we changed the note" Preet replied stressing on the word BHABHI.
So Heer was still waiting, and his plan was still on. Thank God.
He made a move to go there but was held by Preet.
" where do you think you are going Prem bhaiya? We are not done yet." Said and excited Veera.
Not done yet??? Ab kya bacha tha.?? And looking at their faces, his thoughts were confirmed. There was still more to their plan.
They pulled him with them and told him that they were going to play the same Prank with Heer this time , with only difference that he was going to be their partner in crime.
He straightway refused, but who had said anything about having options?

So now they were a bit away from the open balcony. He could see Heer waiting for him there. Seeing her got him all excited and he was suppose to go but was held by all.
Instead of him Preet made a move.
Heer was still facing the other side so Preet went and kept a hand on Heer's shoulder. My Poor innocent Heer must have thought it must be me, but she didn't know these devils in disguise.
And they forced him to speak
" Heer, vo... thank you for coming here. I hope u read the note."
And he could see Heer blushing. Damn this people. He was about to make a run from there but was held again. Now what was he suppose to say. Get my hands free and see what I do, he wanted to warn them but couldn't and kept it to himself.
He continued " Heer tum janti hon, maine tumhe yahan kyun bulaya hai.. Kehdo na vahi... I Love you.."
And everyone around him started dancing, offcourse slowly. He also wanted to dance but was waiting for Heer's answer. And then he heard her,
"I... I... I Love you Prem." And he was back to where he was in morning, Cloud nine but only for a fraction of second.
There was sound of laughter echoing. Such a nuisance in such a wonderful moment. Meri khushiyon par lag gaya chan ka grahan. He hoped now Heer would forgive him.
He saw Heer turning behind and looking at everyone laughing, and after a moment of understanding she started chasing Preet.
Common Heer you can do it. Beat him black and blue, said a very excited Prem.
Preet came and hid right behind him, and Heer stopped.
She went and hugged her brother. He could see she was all embaressed.
" bhaiya aap bhi???"
And the whole gang narrated the whole story, and by the end of it he was proved innocent. Thank you for that.
Finally as if god had graced them with brains to think, they excused themselves, Not sorry at all, leaving him and Heer alone.
It was kind of awkward. He wanted to open his cell and search on google, " how to start a conversation with the person you love after facing an embarassing situation?". His cell was left in the room.
But nothing was difficult for him, Prem Juneja.
" Heer.. so what were you saying.. I heard you saying something a few moments ago?"
Heer turned in his direction acting all unknown and said
" what was I saying? I just remember Bhaiya aap bhi??"
" No.. not that.. Before that.."
"before that..hmmm" she acted as if she was thinking.. "oh before that I was chasing Preet."
" not that before, even before that.."
"even before that.. well I don't remember."
" oh so y were u chasing Preet?" the two of us can play this game Ms. Maan Prem thought now smirking at Heer.
And heer was blushing now.
Prem pulled Heer in a hug and she hugged him back.
" so you love me???"
And heer nodded.
"heer atleast say it now.. loudly..."
"I love You Prem.."
"I love you too.."
He pulled back from the hug and asked " has anyone ever told u that..."
She interrupted " that I look beautiful when I blush??"
Prem nodded in a no and her face feel.
"that u blush beautifully.."saying this he pulled her a bit towards himself in a tight hug. The rest of the world could wait.
