CHAPTER 6;
now we enjoyed freedom.. In our new hostel.. We were able to wear jeans(which was prohibitted in our old hostel), use computers etc. And months passed.. It was time for us to leave for diwali holidays. We had 10 days holiday and it was the first time we're going home.
I was surprised to know that Avi was in bangalore. i had never seen him in bangalaore. Well, he was abroad for his school studies. So I was relieved that I have a company to go to bangalore. Bhayya also agreed that.
Prem had to go to Delhi, and Soumya, to Bandra, another place in Mumbai. We all packed our luggages. And as promised, we met in the lobby. Harman was there.
HAM; So all set for home?
SOU: yeah...
AVI: Oh god.. I'm going home.. Wanna meet my brother.
HAM; Avi.. this is the 10th time you are describing about your brother Manmeet.
i could see Prem's face had changed. He never spoke to Avinash. Nor did Avinash. Bt for other's they didn't notice this at all. i could not find anything wrong in Avinash or Prem. And I don't know what was wrong with Prem.
Soumya left as her car came. Prem, Avinash and me were to railway station. All four of us got in to a taxi to the railway sation.
Boarding a train from the Mumbai CST was not that easy. It is a very crowded station, having more than 12 platforms. If Harman was not there, we'd surely get lost.
HAM: Prem your platform is no. 1 and Platform 6 to south.
PREM: 30 minutes more, for my train.
AVI; Our train is already 1 hour late. Signal problem!!!
HAM: Ok. Let's be in platform 1. We'll send Prem in his train and then we'll go TO NO. 6.
AVI: Ham, I want to buy some eatables. Please do come with me.
HAM: Ok. You both, take a seat on that bench. We'll come now.
Prem and I sat on the two vast ends of the bench.
PREM: You're going with Avinash?
I was shocked as I never expected this.
"Yeah" I said
Then there was a silence. I wanted to talk.
"Prem.. tell me... what happened to you? Why are you not talking to Avinash"
PREM: heer.. just listen.. Don't believe everyone.. They'll fool you..
"ohh like you're fooling me for the past two years??"
He didn't reply.
"Tell me Prem, why are you acting like this?
PREM: I'm not acting.
"I know, you know everything about me.. But you are not talking to me.. Why?"
He didn't reply and my question remained a mystery. Harman and Avi came with colas.
We waited for 30 minutes and Prem's train came.
PREM: Byee..
HAM: Bye happy diwali
PREM: Same to you.
his train left and we three headed to the 6th platform. As soon as we reached the platform, AVinash wentfor checking if there was any delay for the train. And I got a golden chance to talk to harman.
"Harman, pREM HAS TOLD ME SOMETHING.."
And I told him what Pem told.
HAM: Don't worry Heer.
"But I want to know what was wrong with him."
HAM: I promise, you'll know that. And don't worry about Avi. You're safe with him. And Prem knows that.
"What?"
HAM: That Avinash is a good guy.
"I just don't understand this Prem now a days"
harman smiled.
"Our train will come in 10 minutes." said Avi, who has reached from the help desk.
Our train arrived in 10 minutes and we boarded.
"Heer, you're there in face book right?" he asled me. We were in train for an hhour.
"Yes.. But the account is deactivated"
AVI: Why?
"Boring"
AVI: Actually, we've started a group for 5 of us.. Nd I need your account to add.
"Oh.. Prem's there?"
AVI: yeah..
I've deactivated the account when Prem and me lost contact.. Now, Prem there.. So I'll activate.
AVI: What are you thinking about?
"Nothing.."
AVI: Then activate now..
I opened my account and it was reactivated. Avi added me to the group, "PENTAGONS" where Ham, Sou and Prem were already members...
We had a great time in train.. Avi was really a good company. He was too caring. he desribed about his family in Bamgalore.. I understood that his family knows dad, I hadn't seen him as he was abroad for studies.. I have seen his brother Manmeet, who was bhayya's friend.

"Heer.. Wake up.. We reached Bangalore.."
I opened my eyes and saw Avinash. I looked through the window. It was Bangalore Station.
AVI: Ithni sothe ho kya?
"Avi, last night we slept late na.. That's why."
he helped me take my luggages. I've told bhayya that I'll come home by myself. We went to the rest room where I freshed up. Avi got me a tea. And now we were in the taxi. He dropped me at home and I got down.
Bhayya and bhabhi were waiting for me. I could see dad reading the newspaper. He didn't pay attention. I didn't care. Bhabhi came and hugged me.
BHABHI: heer, why did you cut your hair?
she asked as she served breakfast. Bhayya was sitting next to me.
"bhabhi, that was a ragging"
BHAYYA: ragging? where?
"In the hostel"
BHAYYA: Didn't you complain? I'll inform the management. is hostel that horrible?
"no bhayya.. We are now in the college hostel, in the same compound."
BHABHI: But your hair ..
"Bhabhi, hair will grow. It was cut shoulderlength. But see.. It's grown"
BHAYYA: How's college?
"Good bhayya.. Nd bhayya.. something special.. prem's in the college"
I said it with great excitement. But bhayya seemed to be neither shocked nor happy.
BHABHI: Prem who?
"My friend!!"
I stopped talking as dad was now in the dining hall.
DAD: Nihaal, It's time.
BHAYYA: Ji dad. I'm ready. Veera, Heer, get ready at evening 6. they'll come by evening.
BHABHI: Ok. Byee..
