chapter 4

The room was decorated with red roses and candles all around the room and heer was feeling scared and she was uncomfortable in the room she walked to the other side of the room and she opened a French door and went to the balcony and stood there looking at the moon and feeling the cool breeze on her face. She stared at the dark sky and the shinning moon and thinking about her fate, how her life has been a miserable and always took everything from her and never gave her back something except pain. She was too engrossed in her thoughts that she did not hear the bedroom door open and prem came in the room he saw her standing in the balcony and he came smiled and walked towards her and he stood beside her and he saw her lost in her thoughts and he coughed just to get her attention and as heer heard him and felt his presence she abruptly came out of her thoughts and she looked at prem and then back at the sky. Prem cleared his throat and he said "it's very cold and I think it will rain soon lets go inside" heer looked at him coldly and she walked back into the room and she sat on the bed. Prem locked the French doors and he came towards the bed and sat on the edge of the bed and he said "our marriage was real quick and we didn't get a chance to know each other, if there is anything you want to know about me you can" heer didn't look at him she said "I don't want to know anything about you and I don't think there is any need for us to know each other" prem was shocked to hear that and he had numerous questions running in his head which he wanted to ask but he didn't have a courage, heer got up from the bed and she looked at prem and she said "I didn't want to get married!!! I wanted to live my life only with my daughter!!! I never wanted to marry anyone!!!!!" she started crying and prem stood up he wanted to console her but he was broke himself he didn't know what to say finally he took the courage and he said "why did you get married to me?" Heer wiped her unstoppable tears and she said "I married you only because my dad wanted me to get married to you!!!!!!! I thought my dad told you about this?" prem said "he told me that you have a daughter and you're a single mother but I didn't know that you didn't want to marry me!!!!!! If I did then I would have never married you!!!!!" heer didn't say anything she stood there like a statue, prem walked to the bed and he took a pillow and he said "you can sleep on the bed and I will sleep on the couch" he walked to the couch and put his pillow and he laid on the couch ad tried to sleep. Heer sat on the bed and she took her jewellery off and then she opened her suitcase and took her night gown and her night dress she went to the washroom and got changed and she came back to the room and went to sleep on the bed.

In the morning prem woke up early he hardly had any sleep because he was thinking about last night he went to the cupboard and took his black suit out and he was walking to the washroom when he saw heer she was peacefully sleeping and looking gorgeous seeing her prem's lips formed into a cute smile and then he walked to the washroom to freshen up. After twenty minutes he came out of the washroom wrapped in a towel around his waist and he went to the dressing table and he got dressed he was doing his tie and thinking "that how should he wake heer up?" because it is quite late and he walked to the bed to wake her up before he could he heard a knock on the door. He looked at heer and then at the door he didn't know what to do and the person on the door was getting impatient he went to the door and opened it and he saw veera and kulraj standing there and he said "good morning!!!" veera and kulraj smiled and they both said "morning" prem smiled and he said "yeah tell me" kulraj said "there is nothing to tell you we are to see your wife" prem blocked their way so they don't get in and he said "kulraj di she is getting ready come later" veera said "we don't care we want to see our bhabhi" kulraj said "prem move out of the way" prem was trying his best to block their way but they pushed him and came inside and prem came after them and he was glad to see the bed empty heer was not there he took a deep breath and kulraj said "where is heer?" prem formed a smile on his lips and he said "I told you lot she is getting ready she is having shower" veera said "its okay we will wait for bhabhi here" they sat on the couch and prem sat on the opposite couch and he said "can I ask what is so important?" kulraj and veera smiled and kulraj said "we will only tell heer" and then they heard the bathroom door open and they all looked at that direction and they saw heer coming out of the bathroom wearing her knee length baby pink bath gown and her wet hair loosely trailing on her left shoulder. And with the towel she was drying her face, they all were looking at heer as if they have never seen someone like her before and she was looking no less than any goddess suddenly heer looked at them and she saw everyone staring at her and she stood there in embarrassment and kulraj said "heer we came here to give you this" she handed heer a package and then veera said "good morning bhabhi" heer smiled slightly and she said "morning" after giving the package to heer they were leaving the room and before going kulraj looked at prem and she signalled him to look at heer and winked at him and showed thumps up and they ran out of the room giggling. Heer opened the package and she saw a beautiful hot pink saree fully embellished with stones and sequences and she then saw a jewellery box and she opened the box and saw a hot pink matching diamond necklace and earrings. Heer was getting ready and prem was sitting on the couch waiting for her, after twenty minutes heer came and she was looking astonishing and prem and her went downstairs and they had their breakfast and after breakfast prem went to study and heer quickly followed him.
