As everyone has read by now, Kis Desh is slated to go off air on February 5th. This gives the team exactly 12 more episodes to wrap up the show.
I've seen our forum from the very beginning of the show, and I know that at times of crisis, we rise to the occasion like no other forum. We all know that 12 episodes is not enough to give the show a proper ending, and we deserve at least a proper send-off to a beautiful love story. So, everyone, SPAM SBS, SP walls on Facebook, mail SBS, SP, and BT. We deserve an extension, at the very least. We've fought for the show this far, so we'll fight for it till the end! Come on Deshians, we have to fight one last time! We may or may not stop the show from ending, but we can make sure that the show and its' fans WILL be remembered!
It is really sad to hear that you have decided to end one of your finest shows, Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil. The show was the best love story on television and had the best jodi ever seen on Indian television. Harshad Chopra and Aditi Gupta put life into the characters of Prem and Heer. Their sizzling onscreen chemistry earned them many awards for the best jodi. Kis Desh was the top show in the 8.30pm time slot. Till your startegic planning landed the show in the afternoon slot which led to its doom. Funnily since Kis Desh was moved from 8.30pm not a single of your new shows in that time slot could do well. The show, inspite of being a love story, managed decent ratings without any promotions or repeats. Kis Desh suffered merely because the channel had an issue with the production house. Star Plus put their ego before the audiences' wishes and Kis Desh paid the price for it. Inspite of repeated reminders from fans for decent promos and repeats the channel refused to give in. It is really sad that a so called professional channel considers its ego more important than the audience it caters to. Well since you don't care about the audience we have no choice but to do the same. We boycott the channel forever. We are never going to watch Star Plus and will now on support all the other channels. You have greatly underestimated fan power and taken us for a ride. Now you'll see what the fans can do.
