CHAPTER-53
Heer shakes her head thinking of the antics he does. She gets back to work. Prem seems satisfied and moves away from his hide-out. He too gets back to work. Finally it was lunch time and Heer came in to his cabin. He got up from his chair and walked up to her.
Heer: Ab chalein?
Prem: Yes ma'am
They had lunch at her favorite restaurant chatting and pulling each other's leg. After that they go to the hospital. Pratham and Gauri were playing with the kids. Prem and Heer joined them.
Heer: Hello bhabhi…how are you? Aur bache kaise hain?
Gauri: Mein teek hoon…aur bache bhi teek hai….apne chachi se milne ke liye kabse wait kar rahe hain…
Heer: Ohh even chachi's eager to meet them…
Gauri places her baby in Heer's hand. Heer's playing with the baby admiring her eyes, nose and her face.
Prem: Not fair…..chachi to be ke liye itna pyaar aur chachu ke liye kuch bhi nahin….I guess I've to re-think about….
Gauri hits him before he could complete her sentence.
Heer: Dekha bhabhi subah se mujhe chida raha hai..
He takes his nephew in his arms.
Pratham: Premmmm…
Prem: Dekho beta sab milkar kaise mujhe akela bana diya…Ab tumhe hi mera saath dena hoga….
Gayatri stepped in just then.
Gayatri: Kya baat hai sab yaheen par hai..chalo acha hai…Mera potha pothi kya kar rahe hain…
Gauri: Ek apni chachi se aur doosra apne chachu se khel rahe hain…
Gayatri: Tum dono office chod kar yahaan khelne laga gaye..
Pratham: Arre haan mein toh bhool hi gaya… tum dono yahaan kya kar rahe ho???
Prem: Maaa aap bhi naa…
Gayatri gives a faint smile.
Pratham: Prem office?
Prem: Saara kaam ho gaya bhaiya..lunch break tha..toh socha bachon se mil lein..
Pratham sees the time.
Pratham: Prem mujhe nahin pata humare office mein 3:30 baje ko lunch break milta hai…
Prem: Bhaiya woh…
Just then Preet steps in.
Preet: Kya baat hai sab log yaheen hai…sirf mere eid ka chand missing hai…
As soon as he says this he gets hit by someone on head.
Lalit: Nalayak…
Preet: Aap kahaan se aagaye??
Lalit: Tera peecha karte karte…
Preet: Matlab??
Lalit: Tune toh kaha tha tu college jaa raha hai certificates collect karne yahaan kya kar raha hai??
Preet: Haan toh jaounga….bachon se milne ke baad…meri chodiye aap ne toh kaha tha aap Kunal bhaiya ke ghar jaa rahe the..shaadi ke dates decide karne ke liye….
Lalit: Jaana toh waheen tha par raaste mein hospital dikhayi di toh..
Preet: Mujhe nahin pata tha…kunal bhai ka ghar yahaan hospital ke pass shift ho gaya hai….
Pratham: Ab bas sab naatak karna band karo…Mein doctor se baat karke aata hoon..gauri ko jaldi discharge kardein…warna yeh roz chalta rahega…
Prem: (making a serious face) Sahi kaha aapne bhaiya….
Pratham gives him a glare and walks away. All of them were fighting to play with the kids and Gauri just sat enjoying the sight infront of her.
Prem's cell rang and he went out. He came back after few minutes. Heer couldn't escape noticing the uneasiness with which he smiled on Preet's joke. She slowly walked up to him and slid her hand in his questioning him with her eyes.
Both of them went out of the room and sat in the chairs opposite the room's door.
Heer: Prem kya hua?
Prem: Heer there's an emergency..mujhe ek hafte ke liye Canada jaana hoga…
Heer doesn't say anything. She just nods her head in an understanding manner.
Prem: Mujhe aaj raat ke flight se hi jaana hoga…
Heer: Hmm..ok
Both of them then go in and inform everyone about Prem's trip. Gayatri tells Prem and Heer to go home and that they'll come in a while.
Prem discusses about the situation with Pratham and then drive back to home along with Heer. They were silently stealing glances of each other. As they reach home Heer asks Prem to go and pack his things while she made coffee for him. He silently nodded and left for his room.
She knew how he was felt because she was going through the same pain. In the short period of span they met, they were separated only for once and that's when they realized they were meant to be together. After that, hardly a day passed without the others' presence. She knew it was difficult but then she came out of her thoughts and went to his room with the coffee.
He went to his room and kicked his foot on the floor. He hated being away from her for even a second and now he has to manage without seeing her for seven whole days. He opened his cupboard and started throwing clothes on to his bed.
Heer walked in his room to see him throwing his clothes away. She places the coffee mug on table and walks up to his bed picking the clothes.
Heer: Premmm…yeh kya kar rahe ho?
Prem: Hmm
Heer: Premm it's ok kuch hi dino ki toh baat hai…
Prem: I know but still…..
Heer: Finish your work fast aur agar paanch din mein wapas nahin aaye na toh….
Prem laughs
Prem: Toh..toh kya heer??…sirf paanch din…mujhe nahin lagta kaam po paayega?
Heer: what? toh I'm warning you mein jaake kisi aur ko doond loongi…
Prem: All the best dear.
Heer hits him hard on his arm.
Prem: Mujha itna confidence toh hai…koi nahin milega tumhe…
Heer: Acha
Prem: Haan kon bechara jhel payega tumhari maar ko
Heer: Kya????
She runs after him as he runs around the bed trying to save himself. Running out of breath both of them fall on the bed beside each other. After having fought with pillows and cushions Heer gets off the bed and takes out of a suitcase. She picks up his clothes and folding them neatly places them in the suitcase. Prem just sees her lying on the bed.
His lips curve to smile automatically watching her doing his work. He gets up and goes behind her hugging her from back placing his chin on her shoulder.
Prem: My wife to be is very sweeeeeeeeeet…kitna khayal rakhti meri….
Heer: Aww thank you…lekin my husband to be is very lazy….har kaam mujhe hi karna padta hai…
Prem: Kya??? He leaves her and snatches the shirt from her hands.
Koi jaroorat nahin hai yeh sab karne ki…tum jaa sakti ho?
Heer: Premmm
He turns to the other side and starts folding the shirt. She walks over to his side but then he turns to the other side showing her his fake angry face. She smiles to herself and then giving up hugs him from back.
Heer: Mein ne toh socha tum ek hafte liye mujhse door jaa rahe ho aur mein apna promise nibha nahin paoungi isliye todhe se gifts de doon advance mein…lekin….ab tum naraaz ho toh it's ok..
Prem: Sachi…
Heer: Kachi…
Prem: Heeeeeeeeeer..
Heer: Premmmmm..
He glares at her and then she turns to him and hugs him resting her head on his chest. Prem holds her even more tightly never wanting to let her go. She stands on her toes and places a quick kiss on his cheek. He grins widely. He holds her face and is about to kiss her lips when he hears his mom calling out "Heeeeeeeer" He leaves her all of a sudden. She smiles seeing his face. She felt he looked so adorable and giving him a quick peck on his lips runs away. Prem just fell backwards on his bed seeing Heer run away winking at him.

It was already 7:00 and Prem had to leave in about half an hour. Heer was helping Gayatri preparing things for Prem. He came down with his suitcase and sat at the table waiting for food. Gayatri placed the plate containing parathas in her hand and asked her to serve him.
He smiled seeing her walk to his side. She was placing the parathas in his plate while he was watching her with a naughty smile on his face. She was about to leave while he caught her wrist and pulled her on to his lap. He saw Gayatri leaving to her room from the kitchen and seeing the coast clear, he made his attack.
Heer was dumbstruck. He tore a piece of paratha and fed her and then gazed at her lovingly. Heer also understood that no one was there and so she fed him while he was playing with her hair and nuzzling her neck with his nose.
They were so lost into each other that they didn't notice people coming in to the hall until they heard
"Wah kya scene chal raha hai"
Heer jumped out literally and ran away in to the kitchen unable to face them. Preet and Kunal came and sat infront of Prem taking an apple from the fridge and munching it. Prem face turned different shades of red and then he put up an angry face.
Prem: Tum dono kab aaye?
Kunal: Hum toh bas abhi aaye hain
Preet: Aap bohut busy the na isiliye notice nahin kiya hoga…
Prem: Preeeeeeeeeeeeeet tu aaj nahin bachega..
Preet ran into the kitchen shouting "Bhabhi help"
Heer: Kya hua?
Preet: PB aapke eklaute dewar ko marna chahte hain…
Prem: Preet tu..
Preet: Please bhabhi…
Heer: Prem rukho..
Preet: Thanks bhabhi..
Prem: Heer tum..
Heer: Prem tum rukho mein pakad thi hoo isse
Prem: (winking at preet) Dekha meri Heer sirf meri side leti hai…
Preet: Wah dono lovebirds milke mere peeche pade ho..yeh mein hone nahin doonga…
He pushes Heer into Prem's arms and runs away from there shouting
"Mein aur kunal bhai upar jaa rahe hain…aap dono apna romance continue kar sakte hain.."
Prem: Preeet….
Heer was in his arms so he didn't want to let go off her and run after Preet. So he just stood there pulling her more closely.
Heer: Prem phir se koi aajayega… ab chalo…
He places a kiss on her forehead lovingly and then let her go. Gayatri and Lalit come down. He takes their blessings and then he walks out signaling heer to come. Lalit and Gayatri notice this and smile to themselves.
Gayatri: Heer tu Prem ko chod de..mein inke liye khaana laga deti hoon..
Preet and Kunal come down and they too start their teasing.
Preet: Maa Heer bhabhi aap ke madad kardegi…hum hain na PB ko chodne ke liye…
Prem wanted to kill Preet then and there. He sent him daggers through his eyes.
Prem: Preet tu jaa na khaana khaa aaj tere favorite aalu ke parathe hai khaane mein…
Preet: It's ok PB aap ke liye aaj mein aalu ke parathe ko tyaag karta hoon….
Heer found it difficult to suppress her giggle seeing Prem's expressions. Preet felt pity for his brother.
Preet: Teek hai teek hai ab mujhe itna mat guriye jaaiye aap apni Heer ke saath…
Prem smiled and then hugged him and Kunal before leaving out dragging Heer.
The drive already parked the car near the gate. Prem hugged Heer tightly after placing his luggage in the car. She placed a kiss on his cheek and uttered "Bye"
He got in to the car leaving a quick kiss on her lips. Both of them kept waving hands at each other until they were out of sight.
