Well there we were, me and my good pal Prem innocently walking back up to our college campus on a warm summers day. I look up and see Meher ahead of us. All I can say is wow! Oh My rab! She is so pretty! And I mean 'Oh my rab' when I say it. I'm not one of those people who says 'Like! Oh my rab' in every other sentence! She had just been standing under a tree with her friend, I dunno her name, blonde and with absolutely massive ti- I'm getting sidetracked! Anyway! The sun was so amazingly reflected off her hair as she moved by it. Her hair is so amazing, so coppery and just downright sexy! She has the most amazing skin ever, so soft. Well, I guess it would be soft, I can't say I've ever actually touched her face but I know it is. She is perfect. Totally and utterly perfect and- oh my rab, I love her. Oh my rab. I love her. Oh. My. Rab. How could I not see this before?! But this is amazing! I'm in love for the very first time! How absolutely wonderful for me! I'm walking that way towards her now, Prem is with me. I vaguely wonder what he's talking about, hmm, I think he expects me to say something. So I oblige.
"Uh yeah, I agree mate"
I'm so in love! I could marry Meher! She is the best girl! The most perfect person. The most amazingly sexy, and kind and loving person in the world. I'm gonna tell her now!
"You agree that you're gay?"
What's that Prem is saying? Oh who gives a damn! I'm going to tell Meher! I'm going to tell her I'm so in love with her and she'll love me back and we'll marry and be so happy! What will I call my child that we'll have? Arjun? No'
"Preet? You're gay?!"
Naitik? No' Ranvir? No' Karan? Rab no! Oh but what if it's a girl? Hmm'Priya? No' Oops Prem, he's still talking, better say yeah to make him happy.

I wonder where we'd live. Well I'm going to inherit that house in Delhi , so I guess we could live there! It's a bit small, but it's nice.
"I thought you were just messing around when you came on to me. Wow. So you're really gay?"
Hmm'What's Prem on about? Oh that's right! I don't care! And why don't I care? Because'I'm in love with Meher Maan! Oh, Prem has stopped talking. Better say yeah again.

Oh look,! My dear friend, Prem has left! Leaving me to ponder in peace how perfect she is! Did you hear? I'm going to tell her I love her! I'm almost there now! She is so perfect. The way her eyes are so hazel and, I just love her so much. It's now or never. She will love me back. How can a person love someone so much and it be unrequited? She must love me! I'm gonna tell her. She's looking at me now. I'm within 4 feet. So now I'm gonna stop. She's still looking at me. Okay. Now what? Right, Right! Tell Meher Maan that I love her. Got it.
"Uhh...Hey"
Both Meher and her friend are looking puzzled. I'm beginning to sweat a bit now. I've never been nervous around a girl before! Just tell her you idiot!
"Right well, basically'I mean'Well'Uhh'Okay, Let me start again. Right well, see the thing is'uhh-"
"What is the thing Preet?" She says, cutting me off.
I think she's enjoying the fact that I'm nervous. She just gave her friend a really pained look and her friends just walked off. Were alone now. Perfect time to do it. Just tell her.
"Okay, well the thing is that' err' lately, I've been thinking about the issue, of'umm'our relationship."
"We have no relationship Preet".
"No, but, what I mean to say is...is'"
"Spit it out!"
"I'I am'"
"An idiot?? Less useful than a square wheel?" She suggests.
"No, I mean-I'm trying to say'that, well-"
"Oh for crying out loud! Just say whatever it is!"
"I'm'I'm in'"
"WHAT?! YOU'RE IN WHAT?!"
"In love'with'uhh'you."
It kind of looks like someone's deflated her. A moment ago she was all red and fiery and now she's sort of small. She's not angry, I don't think. She's just looking at me. I stare in to her hazel eyes, her deep, beautiful hazel eyes and I know I truly love her.
"You love me?" She says very quietly
"I'well'yeah. I'I do. Sorry- I mean, you know, if it- if it, like, upsets you."
"It doesn't upset me Preet". She's looking at me in a way she never has before. There isn't any mistrust there, or a scowl. Just a soft, warm expression.
"I love you Meher Maan, more than anything else in the world. Ever since the day I met you, I have. I just'didn't know it till five minutes ago'"
She doesn't say anything, but she smiles. And it's that beautiful smile she gives her friends when they make her laugh or when she sees her family .
"Well Preet'I uhh-" She coughs slightly "I have always, No. Hang on. I'll start again. I have always'err'admired you and the way that you...are."
She's nervous! That's like the first time I have ever seen her nervous! Ever! Oh My Rab! I make her nervous!
"Preet'the things is'that-"
Well, I'm not sure what made me do it. But I kissed her. I just moved my head down, and touched her lips with mine, and she seems to melt before me. She begins to kiss me back. I reach around her with my arms and I feel that I am going to die with happiness. After a little while, she pulls away and just looks at me, resting in my arms.
"I love you too."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"You will never know how much I love you Meher Maan, because words can't express how much I do".
