I am writing to you as would have many other viewers about the show Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil.
Please help in relaying the displeasure of the viewers of Star Plus regarding the change in the current time slot for Balaji telefilms show Kis Desh Mein Hain Mera Dil/
We have particularly enjoyed the new track on Kis Desh Mein Ha Mera Dil show. I must make a special mention of the leads on the show. The male lead, Mr. Harshad Chopra is an especially good actor and also has tremedous screen presence, which makes him stand tall among other actors on Star Plus (and probably all the recent male actors on Indian TV channels).
We Love You Harshad, You are the ROCK STAR on Indian TV. You shouldn't be working on TV fighting for time slots with channels that dont appreciate your talent. Go and talk with Yash Chopra, you should be in DDLJ type movies. You make the moon melt while you stare at it with your electric eyes :). Love You Harshad!
Star Plus must make a note of the fact that the 8 30 pm slot has an interesting new show on Zee TV called Aap Ki Antara.
The only reason we watch SP during this time is because of this show Kis Des Mein Hain Mera Dil.
KDMHMD show is being moved to an afternoon segment and SP is launching a new show (that appears very regressive from the promos) in this slot taking the place of Kis Desh, makes very little sense, if any at all. Is this a way of reaching out to people who live in rural India, even then why would people preach such nonsense as it appears from the promos, where they continuously show battered women who are happily playing the doormat, what is this rubbish? Why is such a show getting a Prime Time slot? If it is strategic to move soap operas then move all soap style serials to afternoon segment and have other shows in the prime time slots. Why target only Balaji telefilms? Is this not unprofessional? Personal angst should always take the back seat for the benefit of the viewers, after all we are bombarded with hundred of minutes of advertisements as the channels make the moolah.I am sure differences with the production house (if rumors be true, as sometimes they are) can be dealt with in a professional way without affecting the viewers palate. We all do our jobs w/o adversely affecting the customer. And in the case the customers are not happy, most often we lose them.
Enquiries about this particular change (or the serial) are often turned down, and to add to it the rudeness. We all work and dont have very much free time just like the rude, impolite people at star plus. Furthermore we viewers have no personal agenda or motivation other than the fact that we love the serial (the leads) and importantly we dont want to just blindly accept whatever is being doled out to us by channels. Atleast want to convey what we like, what we dont like and I guess we foolishly thought our choice of programming would be given a fair hearing (after all it is us who watch these shows). Alas! that is not to be, the executives and employees of Star Plus India have absolutely nada respect for their viewers, are condescending, and have no (ZILCH) respect for out time or thoughts. At the very least, please let us know what the reason is behind the decision, please consider us viewers intelligent enough to share with us relevant and real data .Most recently the TRP of this show Kis Desh has put it up there in the Top 10 game. When the cast and crew have pulled up their socks and have put up a good fight and brought themselves back in the top game WHY are they being pulled down by the channel?
Hope Star Plus will be willing to listen to it's viewers suggestions and concerns and do the needful to maintain its position in the industry. Star Plus - US atleast had the courtesy to listen and respond with respect and reason. Wish Star Plus India is some day able to display a fraction of the respect to the people who allow them to make their money.
