Chand Chupa Badal Mein
He waited on the edge of their bed in the early morning wondering what was taking her so long. "Meera! Kitni der lagegi?"
"Bas do minute," she replied back.
She had woken him at exactly 4 in the morning. Why? He had no idea but seeing her innocent face so bright in the morning had made him bounce right up.
He glanced outside their window and saw that the moon was still shining brightly in the dark night sky.
Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Sharma Ke Meri Jaana ,
She slowly crept out of the bathroom and seeing him sitting up in bed made her smile.
"You're awake,"
She smiled as she walked through the room drying her hair with her towel. He heard her gasp as he grasped a hold on her hand.
"Prem, choro na please?"
He loved the way her bottom lip would quiver whenever he made her nervous or shy. He silently shook his head as he got up.
The towel dropped from her hand as he took her other hand and walked her back to the wall.
"This is why you woke me up right? Just to tempt me..."
Her breathing slowed as she struggled to find words but having his nose touching her's, rid her of all thoughts.
Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Sharma Ke Meri Jaana ,
Seene Se Lag Ja Tu, Bal Kha Ke Meri Jaana,
Without saying anything she just hugged him tightly. She never thought this would happen to her. Sure she dreamed of the ideal life when she was little; but which girl didn't do that? Every girl had a set ideal of what her life would turn out to be. Meera was one of the few lucky ones that it came true for.
"You didn't tell me why I had to wake up so early," Prem whispered against her cheek before turning to kiss it.
"Woh...I..." Meera's eyes closed as Prem's lips brushed past her own and she finally pushed him away. "If you stay away from me, I might be able to think straight."
Prem smirked as he leaned on the wall away from her.
"Ma told me to wake you up. Mujhe nahin pata kyun." Meera shrugged.
"Let's go have some breakfast," Prem said as he took her arm.
Meera shook her head. "No—I have to do pooja first." She smiled as she went to the small temple they had kept in their bedroom.
He watched her silently as she sat down near the temple, placing her dupatta over her head and he watched her eyes close.
He had never seen anyone so devoted to god. She had always believed and helped him believe that there was someone there always looking out for them from up above.
Gumsum Sa Hai, Gupchup Sa Hai
Madhosh Hai,Khamosh Hai,
Haan Ye Sama, Haan Ye Sama Kuch Aur Hai,
Seeing her turn around and smile made his heart feel overjoyed as he took her down to the family room.
"Ma? Why did you want me to get up early this morning?" Prem asked as they both sat down at the table.
Gayatri smiled at her son and daughter in law as they sat down next to each other on the table. "Meera ne tumhe kuch bataya?"
Prem glanced at Meera who shook her head at her mother in law.
"Okay then." She took a deep breath. "For the next five days Meera has to eat only saltless food and nothing with flour. So fruits and vegetables basically and I don't want ANYONE," she narrowed her eyes at Prem's younger brother Preet who was known for his mischievous records. "Anyone to eat food that she can't have in front of her,"
"Ji Maa," Prem and Preet both said in unison.

The next four days went quickly without any real excitement or anything but then on the 5th night of Meera's fast she was preparing for her all nighter.
"Remind me again why you have to stay up all night?" Prem raised his eyebrow as he worked on his laptop.
Meera shrugged as she ate an apple slice. "I don't actually know; but yay for it being the last one."
Prem shut his laptop as he went around Meera and put his arms around her watching the smile on her face grow bigger.
Nazdikiyan Badh Jaane De,
She brushed him away as she shook her head. "Tumhe to aur kuch aata hi nahin na?"
Arre Nahin Baba Nahin, Abhi Nahin Nahin Nahin,
Prem shook his head letting a smile grow bigger on his face. "I'm trying to pass your time,"
Yeh Dooriyan Mit Jaane De
Arre Nahin Baba Nahin, Abhi Nahin Nahin Nahin,
Meera's eyes narrowed as she got up from the bed and walked to the balcony.
Dur Se Hi Tum Jee Bhar Ke Dekho,
Tum Hi Kaho Kaise Dur Se Dekhoon,
She raised her eyebrow while she walked barefoot onto the cold concrete balcony. Her spine tingled as she stepped out. There was a light drizzle coming down and Meera sighed as she felt the drops slowly come onto her face.
Her heartbeat accelerated as she felt two warm hands touch her cold shoulders. Prem bent down slightly as she kissed her wet cheek before leaning his head against hers.
"I love you," Prem smiled.
Meera just sighed as she turned around, hiding her face in his chest.
Aye, Gumsum Sa Hai, Ye Sama Kuch Aur Hai
Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Sharma Ke Jaan-E-Jaana
"I feel like singing," He said after a few moments of silence.
Meera looked up and smiled. "Please don't."
"Why not?" His arms tightened around her waist. "I sing very well thank you."
Meera rolled her eyes. "Right—sing."
Prem backed away from her. "You're sure?"
Meera nodded. "You said you sing well. Serenade me,"
"As you wish jaan," He winked at her as he let her go.
She shook her head as she walked back into the room.
"Aanchal Mein Tu Chup Jaane De,"
Meera felt a tug at her dupatta and she turned back and saw his hand grasping her turquoise colored dupatta. "Arre Nahin Baba Nahin, Baba Nahin Nahin Nahin..."
"Zulfon Mein Tu Kho Jaane De," He pulled her dupatta closer to him, while she let it slip of her neck and went to a corner of their room.
"Arre Nahin Baba Nahin, Abhi Nahin Nahin Nahin....Pyaar To Naam Hai, Sabra Ka Humdum..."
She grinned as he stepped closer to her. She waited for him to continue singing but then she heard Udit Narayan's voice and looked around wondering where it was coming from when Prem showed her a small remote.
Woh Hi Bhala Bolo Kaise Karen Hum,
Sawan Ki Raah Jaise Dekhe Mor Hai,
She smiled as she shook her head. "You're crazy,"
"I know." He smiled as he pulled her into his arms.
Aye Rehne Bhi Do, Jaane Bhi Do
Ab Choro Na Mu Moro Na
Yeh Sama Haan Yeh Sama Kuch Aur Hain
"I love you Meera," He smiled against her hair.
"I love you too Prem," She grinned as she cuddled her body closer to his.
"You didn't tell me what this vrat was for?" He asked after a few minutes.
"I don't really know," She got up from her position. "I just remembered some older friends doing it one year and so I decided to as well; but then I learned it has something to do with getting a good husband." She blushed as she looked down.
"Good?" Prem laughed. "You mean the best,"
Meera looked up at him and shook her head, "You're—"
Prem's hand covered her open mouth and her lips twitched from the feel of his palm against them. Slowly he removed his hand as he leaned his head closer to hers. Her eyes dropped shut as she felt the hotness of his breath near her lips. She waited in anticipation as his tender lips closed down on her own; giving her a kiss that just like all his other ones, she'd remember forever.

Right off the bat, I'd like to clear it up that I did not write that! A friend of mine who would like to remain annoynamous (did I spell that right?) is a HUGE Prem/Meera fan and wrote this shot. Didn't want to post it, but voila, I loved it so I had to post it! :)
Enjoy! I know I did. 😉
