PART48 (a)

Prem's room

Prem entered in his room n sat on bed, he had flashback of the recent scene in which he n Heer were in office. He remembered Heer's rude attitude towards him. He said: kyun kiya tum ne aisa heer? Kyun? Ab tak tum puraani baatein bhula nahin paayi?

Gaya3 was standing on door, she heard all that Prem said. Slowly she entered in n placed her hand on Prem's head. She gently touched his hair n he looked at her. Prem had tears in his eyes n he hugged Gaya3.

It was a painful mother-son moment!

Gaya3: kya huwa prem? Tu heer ko lene gaya tha aur akela laut aaya?

Prem didn't answered

Gaya3: tere kuch na kehne se kya mujhe pata nahin chalega. Teri aankhon mein jo dard hai woh saaf bata raha hai ke zaroor kuch baat hai kya baat hai prem? Heer kyun nahin aayi tere saath?

Prem: main waja nahin jaanta maa

Gaya3 sat near him n asked: waja nahin jaanta? Heer ne aane se manaa kar diya aur tune usse poocha nahin ke woh kyun aana nahin chahti?

Prem: poocha tha usse lekin usne sahi se jawaab nahin diya

Gaya3: prem kya chupa rahe ho tum mujhse? Apni maa ko nahin bataaoge?

Prem got up n went at a distance from Gaya3

Prem: maa heer mujhse aaj bhi bohot pyar karti hai, is baat se use inkaar nahin lekin woh is ghar mein nahin aana chahti. Shayad ateet mein kuch aisa huwa tha jo use rok raha hai. Yeh heer ne nahin kaha, yeh mera andaza hai. Main bas yeh nahin jaanta ke aisa kya huwa tha.

Gaya3 lowered her head n said: main jaanti hoon. Main hoon woh jiski waja se heer ghar nahin aana chahti.

Prem came near her n sat on his knees. He kept a hand on Gaya3's hand while she cried.

Prem: nahin maa aisa nahin hai. Heer aapki waja se ghar na aaye aisa kaise ho sakta hai. Maa aap hi ne mujhe ek nayi zindagi di aur aaj aapki waja se meri zindagi mujhse door hai yeh main kaise maanloon?

Gaya3: prem yeh sach hai ise suwikaar karlo

Prem: kaise maa? Kaise?

They stayed quiet for sometime. Gaya3 was in pain bcos after 5 years she now has to admit to Prem whatever wrong she did to Heer. Prem on the other hand had confusion in mind n pain in heart. It was for the 1^st time that he couldn't understand his maa n his Heer.

Prem: maa ab aap apne bete se kuch chupa rahi hain. Mujhe poori baat bataaiye maa?

Gaya3: prem jab tu yahan nahin tha tab rishabh ne is pariwaar ko bohot bara dhoka diya tha. Uski hamare pariwaar se kya dushmani thi yeh koi nahin jaanta lekin uska badla lene ke liye usne veera se shaadi karne se inkaar kar diya. Mandap se uth kar woh chala gaya aur tab nihaal ne hamari veera ka haath thama.

Prem patiently listened while Gaya3 told him everything

Gaya3: veera apni shaadi se khush nahin thi. Woh aksar apni shikayatein lekar mere paas aati thi. Yeh woh waqt tha prem jab main sirf veera ki maa thi. Maine apni bahuon ko hamesha apni betiyon jitna pyar diya lekin tab main heer ko woh pyar na de saki jis par uska haq tha. Ek maa se main saas kab bangayi mujhe pata hi nahin chala.

Gaya3 got up n Prem stood behind her back.

Gaya3: un dinon main yeh nahin jaanti thi ke veera ki naakaam shaadi ke peeche woh khud zimedaar hai. Maine saara kasoor heer par dala, use bohot takleef di, tere aur uske rishte ko torne ki har mumkin koshish ki. Maine heer se kaha ke sameer tujhe nuksaan pohonchana chahta hai. Use tumhare rishte ke khilaaf maine istamaal kiya. Maine heer aur rajveer ke khilaaf tere kaan bhare lekin tune apni heer par shak nahin kiya.

Prem couldn't believe whatever his mom said, he was shocked n puzzled while gaya3 after confession sat on bed.

Gaya3: heer yeh sab jaanti thi, use is ghar se jaane ke liye bhi maine kaha tha. Ab agar woh teri zindagi mein aana nahin chahti to uski waja yeh maa hai.

There was complete silence in room. Prem stood in middle, he had tears in eyes which now were dry n anger was visible on his face. Finally Gaya3 spoke n asked: prem kuch to bol aise chup mat raho

Prem: kya boloon maa?

Gaya3: main jaanti hoon beta tumhein yeh sab jaan kar bohot dukh huwa ke maine tumhari heer ke saath itna kuch kiya

Prem came n sat in her feet n asked: aap ne aisa kyun kiya maa? Aap ne hamesha heer ko apni beti mana phir us pyar ko kiski nazar lag gayi. Maa ek waqt tha jab aap bauji ke khilaaf khari hogayi aur hamara saath diya. Aur aaj heer aapki waja se is ghar ke baahar hai mujhe yakeen nahin horaha.

Gaya3: prem zindagi mein aksar aise hota hai ke hamare kareebi rishte ek naya mor le lete hain. Rishton mein karwaahat aa jaati hai lekin ek maa aur aulad ke rishte mein kabhi karwaahat nahin aasakti. Prem yeh sab jaan kar kya tu apni is maa ko maaf kar paayega?

Prem was silent for a while then he said: maaf to maine aapko kar diya hai maa lekin yeh sab main kabhi bhula nahin paaonga. He then left the room.

A song is picturised on Premeer. I will explain the situation n the lyrics which suit Prem n Heer.

Heer is on the way back from office n towards home. A background song is played:

Mil jaate hain jo pyar mein marke bhi woh bicharte nahin

Hum unhein bhool sakte nahin woh humein bhool sakte nahin

Heer is thinking that one day she might die but that doesn't mean she'll be separated from Prem. She can never forget Prem n she is sure that even he cannot forget her.

Prem enters in study room to take file from drawer n he sees Heer's payal he picks it up n the following lyrics are played:

Kaun si chandini raat mein kya huwa kis mulaqat mein

Yaad aati hai jab bhi koi baat bas baat hi baat mein

Prem remembers his first meeting with Heer in shiv mandir. The sky was glittering with moon n he saw Heer's eyes full of tears. He knew that there is some pain in her life n he later found her payal. Now by seeing this payal he remembers the shiv mandir scene.

Heer enters her mansion it was quiet as Mitali took Additi to mall to cheer her up. Heer enters in Additi's playroom n remembers the time when they all were together in this room. She remembered the fun they had while Additi n Prem flew cotton in air. Heer cries terribly n the folowing lines are played:

Jaise rote hain dil toot ke aise saawan baraste nahin

Mil jaate hain jo pyar mein marke bhi woh bicharte nahin

Hum unhein bhool sakte nahin woh humein bhool sakte nahin

It is evening time n Heer is in her office. She is in a meeting with foreign delegates n they're having snacks. Mitali was outside the conference room n she saw Heer who was talking normally with delegates n laughing. Mitali couldn't believe how can Heer be normal after hurting Prem badly.

Ghum ki nazon pe chaya huwa dard haste nazaaron ka hai

Dil ke baahar hai patjhar magar dil mein mausam bahaaron ka hai

Heer knew that Mitali is watching her, though she is suffering from pain but she is acting to be normal as if she doesn't cares abt Prem. Within her heart she has memories of the beautiful moments she spent with him. In above lyrics "bahaaron ka mausam is referred to those cherished moments". "Ghum, dard n patjhar is referred to Heer's pain n sufferings."

Prem is in his room infront of the table which he decorated with bears, toys, pictures n that special gift he bought for his princess Additi. The following lines are played:

Unki yaadon ke yeh phool to toot kar bhi bikharte nahin

Mil jaate hain jo pyar mein marke bhi woh bicharte nahin

Hum unhein bhool sakte nahin woh humein bhool sakte nahin

Prem is referring "yaadon" to the time he spent with Additi when she came in this house. Here, along with Heer Prem is missing Additi as well. The last two lines written above are played on Prem as he is saying that people who connect with each other through hearts, they can never be separated nor can they forget each other n even death cannot separate them.

Heer is walking on beach alone while the following lines are played:

Hum ko lejaayegi ab kahan pyar ki yeh gali kya pata

Bhool se hum yahan aagaye waapas ka nahin raasta

Is liye bachke chalte hain log is gali se guzarte nahin

Mil jaate hain jo pyar mein marke bhi woh bicharte nahin

Hum unhein bhool sakte nahin woh humein bhool sakte nahin

Heer is thinking abt past. The moment when she met Prem n the journey of her love story so far. Heer is in a state of confusion as she is a patient of the most painful disease "cancer" n at the same time she has to hide her condition from Prem 'the man who means everything to her'. She herself is in stress n she is giving the same constrain to her loved ones which is the most annoying part. Heer is getting irritated as she never expected that her life will take such a twist n ruin all her plans. In agony she says that now she understands why people don't fall in love n stay away from rocky roads of love.

Prem is on terrace n the following lines are played:

Kis taraf kisko awaz den kaun jaane kahan rehgaya

Raat gham ki guzarti gayi

Yeh andhera yahan rehgaya

Hum jahan hain wahan aaj kal chand sooraj guzarte nahin

Mil jaate hain jo pyar mein marke bhi woh bicharte nahin

Hum unhein bhool sakte nahin woh humein bhool sakte nahin

Prem feels that he isolated as he has no one with him. He is dishearted after knowing abt Heer's decision n Gaya3's faults. He feels it is the longest night spreading its darkness in Prem's life which will never fade away. He is looking at the sky trying to get a glimpse of moon which is nowhere visible. Even sun n moon don't greet him as his life is full of darkness.

Precap: Additi calls Prem n tells him that Heer is not back from office yet. She requests him to bring her mom back as she loves her a lot so Prem goes to meet Heer in office.
