NEXT PART
He caught her in his arms before she could hit the floor. Completely drenched in tea, that was still quite hot, he stood there holding her- completely forgetting that the whole family surrounded them. He was soaking we, as was she. Her eyes were shut tightly and she clung to Preet from fear of falling. She looked simply adorable, and Preet couldn't help but notice that her her wet kameez showed her curves perfectly. Just the way he liked it. She was breathing heavily, and although Preet was very reluctant, he brought her to her balance. He really didn't want to.
She felt safe in his arms, because they were his arms. She wasn't afraid of falling, but was scared of looking into Preet's eyes, something kept happening when she did that. She had realised that she was soaking, and knew that was cause for embarrassment enough. With all the family surrunding her though, it wasn't their reaction she was worried about. it was his. As he slowly brought her to her feet, she decided that she would have to open her eyes.
Preet still held her in his arms, once again being reluctant to pull away completely, but then she opened her eyes. They were mesmerising.
Meher found herself lost in Preet, and Preet could hear nothing but the pounding of his heart. His eyes reverted to the sindoor in her maang. It was in his name, it represented their relationship. What was their relationship? All he knew at that moment, was that she was soaking wet, with the orange tea stain bright on her kameez; never looking more beautiful than she did now.
" Preet!!! Now look what you've done!!!" Shouted Bauji. Meher and Preet snapped back to reality, and saw the broken pieces of china and tea on the floor. Then they turned to the family members on the table. THey suddenly broke out into fits of laughter. Meher blushed, looking down. Preet looked sideways to look at Meher's reaction. He liked it. He liked it when she blushed. No, he loved it.
" Oh...my, you're both...soaking, did it put a downer on the romance" Kuldi managed to say between her never ending laughter.
"wh...what romance?" stuttered Preet. Now he was blushing. And Meher had resorted to looking at her feet.
" I should take a page outta your book, romance and tea juggling all at once" said Prem, to which everybody responded to with yet more laughter.
" Prem stop it, why don't you two get cleaned up?, don't worry about the cups Meher" Heer probably thought she had saved them. That wasn't the case.
Meher was even more nervous now, back to the bedroom...
